I had the awesome opportunity to drive this killer i8 in the streets of NYC. Most people look at the i8 and think supercar, but to me it's just a cool piece of technology. Cars like this changes the notion that there is no such thing as a cool hybrid car.

0 to 60 in 3.8 & 1/4 in 12.4 makes it almost a supercar but not quite just yet. It has exclusivity in its looks which helps build a compelling case but there are civics with wraps & lambo style doors that are faster & I wouldn’t call them super cars!

Looking so fine! But where is the build part? I wanna see an i8 with a real motor in it. The hate is all about the slow ass 175hp lawnmower engine in the back. Had they put a 300hp turbo 4 it would be flying off the lots. It's not selling at all, all the supercar hybrids got a big daddy powerplant and the electric drive capability.. The i8 is a Prius with a body kit. There are builders that can make that exact body on a Prius chassis for way less than that. It's supercar power, weight and handling that is really hard to match. That thing has none of those features at over 4000 pounds.
I love the look, and wouldn't mind seeing more power (internal combustion or electric) in the i8
