With the alternative firmware, I'm able to rx/tx on CB and 10m. The K6 is now my EDC. Its not particularly good at anything but it does extremely well across all its capable bands.

Just got mine, the pc program feature doesn't work. I've got 3 cables and something different happens with every one of them. One cable, when connected and powered on, no display and flashlight automatically comes on. One cable, when connected does nothing. One cable, when connected and try to read from radio using CHIRP or OEM software, it simply says "Header Short Read" in the software error message. The cables are fine, I use them on all my baofengs just fine.

Push cable in harder maybe but back the plastic on cable so it goes all the way in .

Mine will not turn the blue light when its on. Only when its off and it still doesn't connect all the time very rarely...
