Nice overview of the rifle and to be fair the groups are decent for that distance on a windy day. It's not a rifle for me though. In sub 12ft lbs I don't think we are getting value at the price. A HW110 is half the cost and will be equally accurate. These top end guns are designed for much higher velocities and are tuned down for our market. If we were allowed a more reasonable power - say 25 ft lbs (still less lethal than a steak knife!) then you suddenly have a 75 yard gun, 100 yards on a calm day. It then becomes worth the cost. Just my opinion.
Chris great review as always I enjoy what you do not sure if these types of guns offer value in sub 12… but review is entertaining. Keep up the great work
Thank you. I stumbled across your channel and like the no nonsense approach to the videos. I Loved that you left the camera falling over in the video and ran with it. It made for a good laugh. I'm certainly subscribing. I'm looking at getting into airguns here in the states. I shot an S510 sunday in an HFT match and am hooked. I didnt like the left loading breech of the S510 and having to work through the parallax wheel as it was cumbersome. I keep coming back to the ghost when looking at rifles. I do love the looks of the revere safari too. If the wolverine r was right load Id seriously look at them.
Morning Chap, Brocock don't look after you, I had the concept xr, 90 pellets & it started goin all over the place accuracy wise, I'd had it three months, they said it was a known fault to do with the magazine supplied, so they would do the magazine - block conversion and that they would charge me for it, I told them it wasn't fit for purpose & wanted a refund, they replied to the shop late on a Friday after closing & informed the shop they had repaired it for free & had sent it back already, that is NOT good customer service, Brocock also charge their British customers nearly twice as much for their rifles than they do in America, how so ? I've seen plenty of xr rangers & concept regularly being returned for seals blowing within a few magazines, this is why I refuse to believe that the ixia, oops sorry ghost won't have longevity & will have post production issues to resolve, 3 out of 10 to Brocock & 10 out of 10 for the review, Best Regards, Jon 👍
Great video. I finally managed to call in at Crackshot and had chance to look at this gun. It is impressive but sadly outside of my price range. I’ll stick with AAs. I enjoyed having a look around Crackshot and was made to feel very welcome. No high pressure sales. A vast collection of guns on sale both new and second hand. Very knowledgeable staff. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. 👍
@@southwestshooters your recommendation was good. I liked the way they display the guns. Side on is so much better than racked. You really get chance to have a proper look at the stock. Very clever.
Yes Chris!! Great review! 💪 It's so refreshing to hear your honesty regarding the price vs performance of the "top-end" rifles. I'm looking at upgrading from my HW110k.177 to something else, most likely the Airmaks Krait. I would love to see a direct comparison between the Ghost and the Krait - they look VERY similar. Go well! Rich.
Hi one of the guys at phoenix has a BRK ghost and I’m saving for one , I bought my air arm 400 from Ronnie sunshine’s , now crackshot , the ghost looks really well made ..
I like the look of it, direct competition for the FX impact MK2 in the same price bracket, it will be interesting to see how well it sells against the competition as there are a lot of really nice Lazer accurate Czech bullpups in that price range as well.
Looks like a tidy rifle, I have been put off from buying FX in the past as I don’t want adjustable power wheels on a sub 12ftlb Airgun, and don’t want a electric trigger like Daystates . This gun ticks all the box’s for me and if it’s reliable and accurate this rifle will sell well in the UK. Interesting review thanks 👍 For your efforts 👍
I’ve just bought a Brk ghost recently. Really accurate. But no one ever mentions when shooting at slightly different distances there is a big difference in target accuracy due to the hight of the picatini scope mount. I can’t see the sense in it being so high when there is no real point.
You are in a great position to test high end rifles keep it going Chris the group you shot was bloody good i am always interested how they perform and you clearly love the broccock but all the new rifles have gone very blakes 7 sort of not for me
Thanks Martin. That's very kind of you. Yes, being able to use these guns is fantastic. I totally understand your point on the look of the gun... But I do like it a lot!
Up to watching this video, I was trying to decide between an FX Impact m2 or m3, the Air Arms S510T and the BRK Ghost. After this honest review, the best video I've seen out of dozens, my decision is made. Thank you.
@@aevans692I did, in .177. However, it had a fault after just a few days and I swapped it for an FX Impact M3. Having used both, I much prefer the latter, which will comfortably fire slugs up to 13gr in .177 and has a 38 shot magazine (upgraded to Eagle Vision mag after original wore out|). 500 shot capaicty from one charge too.
I think you might be happy with either! Both are top tier guns, and you can't really go wrong with either of them. I would personally pick the Ghost as I love the company and have a relationship with them, but I would be just as happy with the AGT. Try them both and see which one you like!
A fair assessment as usual. It’s hard to justify spending £1450 on a gun unless you think (hope) you will love it and keep it and grow old together. As a means of sending a pellet down-range there are plenty of guns costing much less that provide accuracy and enjoyment. They don’t have the bells and whistles of expensive guns but they do the job - S400 for instance. My recently purchased AirMaks Katran ticks all the boxes I need and saved me a few hundred pounds compared with the Ghost. Having said that, had I known this gun was being released I may have hung on and given it a go. Try a Katran if you can get your hands on one, I’d be interested to see what you think.
Great review, and great shooting, in those conditions that was exceptional. Much prefer the idea of a mechanical rifle, electronics are great but eventually they will fail and even the best companies can't afford to manufacture boards for decades, it's just not realistic. With a mechanical rifle you just need an engineer and a lathe........ And if the rifle shifts in numbers then the unofficial support is always there through tuners and tinkerers. My Tx200 will probably still be boinging when I shuffle of the planet.
Makes a change when a gun reviewer don't use the review to push the scope more than the gun he is meant to be reviewing, I asked the guy if he had shares in the particular scope he promotes/ pushes, and he refused to answer, which said it all... yet he professes to be totally independent? Its nice to see a fella review a gun and not try to promote the scope when he is there to review the rifle, great review fella, professional and to the point, just how I like it. 🏴👍🇬🇧
Looking through the earlier comments I am not sure I will get any response but here goes. I liked the review, the gun looks interesting but I guess that it is only any use for plinking and hunting? Does it have a single shot tray or loader available? I am thinking of returning to the sport of HFT and considering all options right now and so that's the reason I am asking.
@@malcolmdonnison3987 I'm sorry I didn't know you don't know anything about 'HFT'. So is this rifle only for the big game hunters dressed in camouflage? There are plenty of other makes of rifle out there and dealers who can answer straight questions with a straight answer. A rifle, tactical or not can be used to good effect in HFT, so long as it is accurate. However there is a rule that only single shot rifles may be used in order to eliminate the risk of a loaded rifle being carried between lanes, hence the question.
Keep a look out for Hawkes eye TV on UA-cam, Instagram etc should be going up tomorrow, they're retrofitting the ghost, it won't be the same gun that's been seen, advertised, & reviewed 👍👍
@@jonathanhawke2995 i will deffo take a look @hawkeseyetv . just ordered one of these, so would like to know the score with it. Is it going to have to go straight back?
Well it won't be the same gun as seen in any reviews or adverts due to retro fitting, the memo went out 7th Nov', I've put two comments up, they've been taken down, & he's resorted to calling me a silly goose, don't know about honk honk, but he's defo a hooter lol 😆
It shoots like a fx impact straight out of the box . (Poor at best) at £1500 I certainly would expect a lot more accuracy. Try any AGT or Kalibrgun you will know what I mean !
I completely agree with you Richard. Poor groups for this distance. The AGT and Airmaks rifles seem far better. My Krait L consistently produces groups that are 7mm CTC in a breeze at 40 metres. So I know where my £1400 would go.
@@brocockboy All guns have there problems when they're first introduced. If the reg on my Krait starts to creep, I'll get a new one sent out to me, swap it over and carry on shooting great groups. Christopher always slates FX cause he had one bad experience with a Wildcat, he must of forgot that he had to send off his Red Wolf for repair shortly after purchasing it. If certain manufacturers waited till they had a perfect product before releasing it, another company would have beaten them to the punch. It is annoying at times, but I've come to accept that if I want the newest rifles out, I'm going to be helping to find the flaws. If someone wants a decent rifle that's unlikely to have problems, then buy an S410 that hasn't changed for years, but innovation will always come with some problems.
Really appreciated your video assessment. I've been watching every BRK Ghost video that appears on UA-cam trying to convince myself to purchase one. Yours sealed the deal, now I have to wait till AOA here in the US starts getting them in stock in January..........Merry Christmas! Off topic, but do you have a scope recommendation? My max firing distance will be less than 50 yards.........
I would suggest anything by mtc or vector optics. The new copperhead will very good, as will any similar looking scope thay VO make. Great decision on the gun.....
Great looking gun and vastly better looking than the Impact. I've got a FX Wildcat Mk3 bt on order. If Aust had Brocock rifles I'd take the Ghost instead.
@@southwestshooters I like FX guns. But the so called "fan boys " really turn me off. Many FX fan boys act like little bullies and try to attack anyone who dares to criticize their brand.
Hi Chris, after my comment about the Alpha Wolf and the DBO silencer, somebody contacted me asking me to contact them, do you know who it is , cheers Keith Trouble reading the numbers.
Hi Chris, can you please tell me what silencer is fitted to the ghost , I bought a Alpha Wolf in 177 and DAYSTATE said that the zero decibel silencer was the one to fit , but it is still loud , and I don’t find it as good as the RedWolf. Cheers Keith
Shame so many of this type of gun have the barrel so far below the centre of the scope making holdover/under more difficult. Also a hell of a lot of money to spend on a 12 foot pound air rifle.
Funny how I put up a comment exposing patent issues from a memo sent out on the 7th, they're retrofitting them so it won't be the same gun, he's taken it down twice but others have seen it, check out Hawkes eye TV on UA-cam & Instagram etc to see the memo sent out to UK gun shops, dishonest reviewer mate 👍😁✌️
@@jonathanhawke2995 you need to develop some critical thinking skills. I have no idea what you are talking about, so rather than saying I am bent and dishonest, try a different approach first? Perhaps that will get you a reply that is respectful? You silly goose.
I've owned two Brococks and two Daystates, none of them are as accurate, reliable and trouble free as my FX Crown and Impact. My Pulsar and Renegade have been especially disappointing. To each their own...
I have been looking a bit at some of this gun and the likes of FX and just from the top of my head i have to ask myself, WHY is none of them semi automatic, i mean how hard can it be, all this loading with the lever.......WHY???
I think it looks like a tactical pump action shotgun...... Except with a hpa bottle. Imagine it with out that. Id guess thats were design inspiration came from
@@southwestshooters Cheers fella. I reckon if you had the rifle a week, tried a dozen different types of pellets through it, I don't think you would be that far off pellet on pellet accrucy. All the best and thanks again for the review, I've got a list of 5 rifles I'm trying to whittle down to one, the only thing I've never been keen on is rifles with bottles! I know the shot count is a plus, but unless they are in the butt like the AGT Vixen, or the FX & TDR, I don't think they look the part, but I've put it on my list, just from what you said about how good you think this gun is, so it's now on the list just got to hide the bottle?
That's damn good shooting @ 40 mtrs in the wind .. don't put yerself down .. very few doing reviews would achieve better results , some seasoned FT & HFT shooter may be slightly better , as they are used to gauging distance and wind speed and all the science that goes with it .. a quick fire review doesn't really require pin point precision .. hell !!! The vids would be 7 hours long .. Good gun ( yet to get a feel ) Accurate , yes , as you'd expect Expensive , yes , but not overly Reliable , only time will tell Will I be getting one .. probably no .
I like the layout and styling of this gun and its ergonomics but I'm afrsid after that, the cynicism kicks in: In sub 12 I would not want to be paying for a power- adjustment feature, which I personally see as wholly pointless; are there really that many uk legal limit shooters out there matching tiny variances in fps to certain batches of a particular pellet? Further pellet testing needed for that particular gun - for a 2k rig the groups are underwhelming - I can do better with a set up at less than a third of that price, though I've no doubt it would tighten up with the right inputs. As you say, £1500 is a lot of dough, and at that money you'd want it to perform. As an aside, I've always thought there's room on UA-cam for a reviewer that really concentrates on taking human error out of the accuracy equation by doing all the group testing indoors and clamping the gun in a decent jig.
The Delta wolf, and this gun both resemble an fX gun you cannot deny they look like their guns might be built better than an FX gun but you can’t deny they look like FX guns and you and I know that and that’s not necessarily a bad thing
@@Marcus_Shaw no Sir no bullpup but style of gun. As the bullpup has no origine in FX nor the style of airgun I think it is useless to make comparisons. But for some reason some FX owners think so and love to think the FX invented the airgun industry. This is a great misconception ofcoarse. I own a FX Crown which is oke but cannot compete in quality to be honest. And it shoots great for a great price 👍
@@ericairguns Ah yes, I getcha. When I was taught to shoot (in the cadets) the British Army was still using the L1A1 SLR but transitioning to the SA80. Two Iconic rifle designs which really sum up the main modern rifle vs bullpup configurations. Obviously both copies of the FX 🤣👍
Any news on what's happening with the BRK Ghost? I am hearing some disturbing news on other channels. I was so looking forward to getting my hands on one of these, but now left feeling a little uneasy. About fifteen hundred quids worth of uneasy.
Really don't understand your position on fx. I haven't heard you say anything Really negative on any other make of air rifle. Of course a lot of manufacturers have jumped on the "tactical look" rifle if that's what's selling why not but to say it's not really the same as an fx is ridiculous. I enjoy watching your content Chris yes I would say you give a fair and honest review as long as there's not an fx in the description
I got an FX impact mk11 it's extremely accurate,i had it 3years plus it's never let me down its sub 12 ft it like most pellets AA 8.4 4.52 very good for pests control things i don't like are the magazine rattle's but apart from that very happy i won't even talk about problems i had with daystate and brocock although my renegade.177 is extremely good but the FX is always used
If its a new barrel you need to put a few hundred pellets through it first to fowl the rifling ,and yes price is silly my custom made AR15 was was £300 cheaper than this
Great vid buddy , definitely a gun I will be getting, BUT , do you think you should have been more forthcoming sooner about your real feelings about the delta and alpha wolf , if you look at so many reviews about the delta and alpha wolf, there’s never a follow up vid , because most of the time they are disappointed with the guns , but because they review for these companies they don’t like to say the guns aren’t that good so not to upset them , I’m really surprised in a good way that would pick this gun over both delta and alpha wolf, got my delta wolf shooting amazing now , but keep up the good work ,
I think you may have taken my comment not how it was meant buddy, but if your saying you had nothing to compare them to , you’ve reviewed lots of guns since the delta and alpha wolf , and all your reviews are based on the same criteria 30 and 40 meters, if the delta and alpha didn’t do that good enough for you then maybe you should have said that while you were reviewing the guns , this is just my point of view nothing else , love watching your videos and will continue to 👍
@@studssmith2008 dude. I apologise. I really only started talking about those guns because they are so close to the Ghost. You took it down twice, I've got the screen shots that are going up soon to prove it, I've been swamped with e mails on the matter, & it's nice to know that people appreciate my honesty, the claim that you didn't take them down when others noticed last night is your choice, resorting to name calling & now denial, then what would I know when you say I'm a silly goose that needs lessons in critical thinking, & informing me what I need to do to gain your respect, I certainly don't need any respect from you 😁👎

You had a bad experience with fx we get it. Pretty sure someone has had a bad experience with daystate too. The first pic I saw of it I thought it was a maverick. fx and daystate are some of the most accurate rifles out there
The Ghost will sell like hot cakes if it’s more reliable than FX👍 I was going to buy a Fx lmpact but my gun dealer advised me not to. He sold a Fx Impact to a valued customer complete with a high end scope dive bottle and assorted kit. Customer came back a day later complaining of low power, so the dealer put it on the chronograph and it’s power was just 7ftlb. The customer spends a lot of money at his shop over the years buying bullet rifles and shotguns plus kit , so rather than send back the Fx impact to be repaired and the customer waiting , the dealer gets another Fx Impact of the rack to replace the faulty one. Customer says can you put that one on the chronograph to see how powerful it is , again they get a low power reading 😳. So the dealer try’s all the stock of Fx Impacts a total of 4 all new and all shooting less than 8ftlb 🙄. Lots of second hand FX Impacts mark 2s and 3s which always makes me wonder why someone is selling a gun that costs so much so quickly 🤔. If these Ghosts rifles are reliable I am sure they will take a big chunk off Fx sales. I would like to see a Uk sub 12ftlb Ghost with no power wheel as adjustment on sub 12ftlb is unnecessary. 👍 keep posting 👍
I have to say I was expecting more after reading the title of the video. Iv seen you shoot pretty much every gun you've tried as well as this, good groups but nothing sensational. I have an FX and it would match that thing no problem, my S400 would too and that was about £400. Why the hate for FX? You spoke about bias and you're clearly biased! We all are in fairness. I enjoyed the video though as always and just giving my opinions.
Not really impressed, especially for a $1400 rifle. If I’m paying that much, it had better do hole in hole groups at 40 meters. Maybe more research for the right pellet is needed? My FX Dreamline Compact does hole in hole out to 50 meters at least. I use the barracuda hunter extremes mostly. JSBs are its second favorite.
As an FX fan, I got to say it does look like an Maverick/Impact hybrid, but it does look pretty neat and is cheaper than both Impact and the maverick (if I'm remembering right) I might have to have a look at it in the gunshop... It's definitely my favourite Brocock they've made.

Thanks Chris for this review
Sorry to hear this......but thanks for the kind message!
Awesome! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the shop.
@@southwestshooters your recommendation was good. I liked the way they display the guns. Side on is so much better than racked. You really get chance to have a proper look at the stock. Very clever.

Great review! 💪
It's so refreshing to hear your honesty regarding the price vs performance of the "top-end" rifles.
I'm looking at upgrading from my HW110k.177 to something else, most likely the Airmaks Krait.
I would love to see a direct comparison between the Ghost and the Krait - they look VERY similar.

They didn't come out with the ghost to compete with a discontinued rifle lol
Looks like a tidy rifle, I have been put off from buying FX in the past as I don’t want adjustable power wheels on a sub 12ftlb Airgun, and don’t want a electric trigger like Daystates . This gun ticks all the box’s for me and if it’s reliable and accurate this rifle will sell well in the UK. Interesting review thanks 👍 For your efforts 👍
It has a power wheel though 😂😂😂😂
Great and honest review, keep em coming. I wish I had a similar RFD near me.
I’ve just bought a Brk ghost recently. Really accurate. But no one ever mentions when shooting at slightly different distances there is a big difference in target accuracy due to the hight of the picatini scope mount. I can’t see the sense in it being so high when there is no real point.
I went with lowest mounts I could. find. I tried taking the the handle off and just using the dove tail - unsuccessfully.
Thanks for your comment. Very helpful as Im looking to buy a ghost or fx m3 and can’t make my mind up.
Would you still buy it with this issue?
Thank you.
did you buy the ghost in the end ? .. how has it been ? cheers ..,
I've got a ghost plus in .177 an it's fantastic !
@@stuivey1Great and beautiful looking gun. Really accurate. Enjoy.
Excellent shooting and excellent informative review Christopher 👍🏻
that wind was making them fly a bit
I’ve found the QYS streamlined 8.48g 4.50 head size to be the most accurate
Good review, probably a tough question though having playing around with this and the Uragan which do you reckon I pull the trigger on? Cheers👍
I think you might be happy with either! Both are top tier guns, and you can't really go wrong with either of them. I would personally pick the Ghost as I love the company and have a relationship with them, but I would be just as happy with the AGT. Try them both and see which one you like!
@@southwestshooters thanks for the reply, I'm guessing the same until I go try them I'll never know?👍
A fair assessment as usual.
Thank you Hector. I think this is an excellent gun. It's by far the most impressive gun I have used in recent memory. I think you might like it....
great shooting, look at the wind 👍
Thank you!
Good Video, convinced me to give this one ago. Been so disappointing with the FX maverick
Thank you John!
I had FiX maverick and it was so annoyingly inaccurate and the magazine system was terrible. Will never purchase anything made by FiX again 😒.
Very kind words Paul. Thank you for your kind message. It means a lot to me.

Chris 12k hits.... Gotta be happy with that.!!
Brocock Rifles are awesome.
Have the Sniper XR and its a laser beam.
Is that gun up for sale if so what's the reduction for it being used out in the rain
Very good video but could you show us sometimes both sides of the rifle I know it's stupid but people do like to see the other side?
Yes. I'll do that in the future.
It’d be good to know what the holdover is for the different calibres at different distances. Only because that sight looks very high off the barrel.
I have one of these, they are fantastic
Was always curious why someone would spend that much money on a .17 cal version
Because it's awesome?
Looking through the earlier comments I am not sure I will get any response but here goes. I liked the review, the gun looks interesting but I guess that it is only any use for plinking and hunting? Does it have a single shot tray or loader available? I am thinking of returning to the sport of HFT and considering all options right now and so that's the reason I am asking.
I cannot get it into my head as to why someone would consider buying a PCP tactical rifle and only want to use a single shot feed tray ??? Baffling 🤔
Just saw a post regarding patent issues with this gun. But it dissapeared. What's occuring?

It shoots like a fx impact straight out of the box . (Poor at best) at £1500 I certainly would expect a lot more accuracy. Try any AGT or Kalibrgun you will know what I mean !
I think you are deluded if you consider those groups poor.
I completely agree with you Richard. Poor groups for this distance. The AGT and Airmaks rifles seem far better. My Krait L consistently produces groups that are 7mm CTC in a breeze at 40 metres. So I know where my £1400 would go.
Please share some evidence.
@@RenegadeAL ,I’m currently hearing a lot about bad reg creep in the Kraits.Just something you might wanna be on the lookout for.

0db silencer 👍
The Red Wolf is superior to the Alpha Wolf and the Delta Wolf. Its the Odb silencer.
Such a good looking gun
I agree.
Shame so many of this type of gun have the barrel so far below the centre of the scope making holdover/under more difficult. Also a hell of a lot of money to spend on a 12 foot pound air rifle.
Agreed and thats also where the diluted opnions begin. Once full power or "FAC" the rifle true narure and capabilities come to light.
I WOULDNT TRUST AN “option” of someone who is in bed with the company who made it. You don’t bite the hand that feeds.
I've bitten it plenty of times.

Good gun ( yet to get a feel )
Accurate , yes , as you'd expect
Expensive , yes , but not overly
Reliable , only time will tell
Will I be getting one .. probably no .
Some people think the groups I shot here are good, some don't. It's all good.
@@southwestshooters I'm not criticising your shooting. I'm only interested in what the gun is capable of.

Great vid buddy , definitely a gun I will be getting, BUT , do you think you should have been more forthcoming sooner about your real feelings about the delta and alpha wolf , if you look at so many reviews about the delta and alpha wolf, there’s never a follow up vid , because most of the time they are disappointed with the guns , but because they review for these companies they don’t like to say the guns aren’t that good so not to upset them , I’m really surprised in a good way that would pick this gun over both delta and alpha wolf, got my delta wolf shooting amazing now , but keep up the good work ,
No. I don't think I should have been more forthcoming, simply because I didn't have anything to compare really....

Not really impressed, especially for a $1400 rifle. If I’m paying that much, it had better do hole in hole groups at 40 meters. Maybe more research for the right pellet is needed? I would hands -own rather have a bottle MK3 Wildcat than that PoS lol.
Thank you for the video however :)
🤣🤣🤣 not pellet on pellet at 40 metres . i don’t know many people that can do that mate outside shooting . in fact i don’t know many that could do that in side shooting with a sub 12 gun . what an awesome gun very nice indeed . better than an . aa tactical na . ( only because i own one 🤣🤣🤣🤣) i need to try those qys heavies they really do seem to be a consistent pellet. been a bit disappointed with jsb of late really do differ from tin to tin quite a bit for me . and definitely see more flyers
Thank you Paul, this is a very encouraging message. I will continue with the videos!
