Another tip. In New Zealand maritime snow we get snow sticking to the skins - major bummer. I keep a small liquid ski wax container in the pack (it fits between the ski crampons nicely in their bag BTW) and rub some on the skins - problem solved.
"No such thing as a bad skin track, only a bad skinner" Burn.
Cool video. So... what's with the teddy bear?
It’s a Service Teddy
I disagree with trying to get the "longest stride possible"
badass man... respect man!
Hahahha! Andrew McLean a 'badass"?! There is not a person less "badass" on the mountain. You may call him an intellectual, a technical, a gentleman, even a geek, but he sure ain't no badass.
So remember..... if you’re in for the win, skin it to win it.
So remember... Ski for real, lock your heel.
Good by us!
Stay lift-locked my good man.
Stay outta my free-heelin' forests! 🍆
So remember... Ski for real, get rid of your training heel.
So remember....
When in doubt
Tuck it out
(Downhill)

So remember... don’t be silly wrap your... ski.
Interesting hearing Andrew advocate for long steps when you have WC Skimo advocating shorter steps ua-cam.com/video/N7yYv5yKqiE/v-deo.html
Her words may be her words but the steps I saw her take appear identical as his, scaled perhaps for her size.
Lots of bad advice here: starting with "There's no such thing as a bad skin track." Actually the skin track is very important and is considered an art form by those who know.
Please explain a little bit more
"...try and avoid staying off your edges too much..." There has to be a better way of phrasing this!
