Thank you for touching on the NUFAN era, most don't go there... Tony was a hero and huge inspiration on me. I've only ever seen NUFAN with Shifty. Truly brilliant albums.
Nice Fluff!!!! Jealous that you get to interview Shifty.... I'm glad that Dave kept Shifty and let Pat come back to the FF. Def an underrated guitarist...
I saw the interview with Rivers. Man that guy can shred. Weezer is great and Only in Dreams is one of my favorite songs of all time. It reminds me of my senior year of high school.
Wow it's so cool to hear the production model of his Cleaver might have a painted headstock. I think it'll look great either way and can't wait for it to come out.
I make my own guitars but my two guitars I own that I haven't made is my two Chris Shiflett Teles. I got lucky with two great playing ones back to back. Although I did change the pots and pickups and one is my pseudo baritone. Chris is a great guy and an awesom talent. Love his new show.
@@michaelsnydermusic I bought the production, made in Mexico models. Fantastic necks. I bought both when they were released, a gold and black one. Both came with hardshell cases. Paid $1350 for both out the door. They have since gone up in price new sadly.
I would buy his signature guitar in a flash....but he isn't a left handed player, so fender doesn't make his signature in lefty. No one makes signature guitars in lefty. Now that I'm older and have money to spend, this is starting to bother me more and more. I'd love to buy the Tom Delonge signature. Or the Adam Jones LP. No lefties.
@@denverrandy7143 the whole family is super nice...his brother (which is mentioned in the video) hung out for what may have been two minutes or so before a Face to Face show and was genuinely just a nice down to earth guy. He also found it hilarious but that is the reality of touring in a punk band...always has been. I believe 22 jacks was opening up for Unwritten Law. The show took place at the Theater in Ft. Lauderdale
Dude looks sooo good for 52!

Chris seems like such a cool dude, obviously he’s a killer guitarist but he’s such a nice guy as well. I could listen to him talk for hours
He is very underrated. Great choice man. Im very happy to check this out.
Great hang. Chris is a cool cat, and his new show is great. Saw the Rivers one. It was fantastic to watch the two of them get geeky.

Shifty is just the coolest. I love how he gets so much flak for his board and he just doesn't give a shit. SO much respect.
I love this man. Been listening to him since the NUFAN era, love his solo stuff and Foos too, obvi! Such a cool dude. Thank you!

Very cool and super fun! Please do more interviews like this Fluff!
Chris’s brother is in one of my favorites bands of all time.
I saw Face to Face with Weezer in 1997 (Speaking of Rivers in this episode). They were both great. Excellent live bands and solid rockers 👌
Shifty's the man!!
My dad had a removable Alpine cassette player unit - from '91-'95 that was etched into my childhood memory.
YESS!!

That's wild that you got to talk to the guitar player that isn't Joey from Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
Love that ending question! ⚡️
i fucking Love you Chris you are the best music is music no matter what it fits into
Great interview!!
I totally had a detachable cd player face. Those were the days
Chris is super cool.
The store I work at sold Chris that Mockingbird. Really cool that he mentioned it.
My burning question is, what's the store? I grew up in MD, I was hoping he'd mention it.

@@guycorbin6631 Rad thanks! I actually went to TU back in the late 90s early 00's, so it's cool it came from that area!
@@punkermd73 Nice. We opened around 2015/2016.
Using the iridium for his solo live set … dang might need to try that with mine someday
seen Chris in Cleveland at the beachland ballroom ...im a fan
The BC Rich Son of Beast would be the perfect country guitar. 😆

Curious, did you get the production models or the custom shop ones or both?

Chris! Tell Darrell to keep his feet off the console...
if you say the word boutique five times fast it sounds like the start of a song
lol beard is busting Shifty's balls.....

Chris once asked my 14 year old self if I had a place to stay after a 22 jacks show….how things changed for him ❤
I knew he was really cool. But,that just makes me smile and root for him even more.
