This is literally my favorite officer on the show. When he pulls up to a scene, not only does he maintain perfect control over it, but the way he communicates towards the suspect shows that he is not trying to berate them, but still maintains control over them. This man is one well-trained officer.
Man this guy is rude and when he talks it sound like hes being sarcastic. I havent liked him since he threw the guy in jail who was taking food from the corner store and the employees didnt want to press charges and he became rude to them...because i guess he wanted them to press charges and the employees even asked for the man to be released which he said. No
Not only does he maintain a calm situation, he is smart. He secures the guy quick out of the gate, giving him the element of surprise and time to deal with things. Where the guy didn't resist that worked out great (could have sucked otherwise). I like how he was still respectful to the others walking up, but then dealt with business.
I like this guy, he was polite, clear, respectful etc. The guys don't have to like the situation but it is what it is. The car is reprorted stolen, and there's 4 guys vs 1 officer. This officer was calm and polite and did his job right. The accused asked about the other cops responding and the officer said "it's for safety, they're just here for safety" nobody yelled or tackled or tased anyone and even the other guys were respectful. That's how it should be
thats how it is a lot , media shows way more bad than good. I am a former officer(got a better job now, work for govt.),but when I was, I was highly proactive, and hundreds of situations (and calls) I went to dealt with with me showing a lot of kindness, restraint, clear thinking, and self control in situations, but that is how it should be.
@@chefmesser420 Not because the camera is there. Theres officers who are totally rude although a camera is there. So no, it’s not because the camera is there its because he’s genuine
"You're telling me what it shouldn't be... and I'm advising you what it is." Master Deputy Laureano is one of my favorites. I'm sorry, but I hope he never gets promoted to sergeant, he's needed full time on the street.
Evidently you're the only one who heard it. None of the guys in the video heard it. That's one consistent aspect of these Live PD videos. The cops have to repeat themselves over and again because none of the suspects ever listen. To anything. None of them.
The siren at 2:08 is a real siren. You can tell by the dopler effect and how the powercall is used. Live PD doesn't usually add a powercall to a scene, its usually a pretty standard Signal siren.
Exactly. He knew they didn't belong on that truck, but drove it anyway, so not to go to the DMV and play for legit plates. You can pay me now, or pay me later, but you are going to pay me.
He said; “When I put him 69, they came up behind me.” He was directly talking about the suspect in the officers vehicle, he never stated “them” or “em” because he was not implying about the others until he stated “they came up behind me.” What’s the comment meant for and the quotations around the officers reply?
Rayray1001 it ain't a color thing it's just how and where you grow up. I knew a ton of white/Latina girls from my city in east texas that talked and acted like where we grew up because it's where you're from. You don't know you're talking " different " because everyone talks that way. The whole family does, the block does, etc. we all the same
What an exceptional display of professionalism by this officer. Everything was handled very much to the point and everybody knew what was going on at all times including his own dispatch and team. Great job sir!
What a great officer! So experienced, he explains things simply without being disrespectful, but he won't take lies either. Didn't accuse the man of anything other than what the driver said, compared to what is found of course. People want to be honest with him. Three behind him was dangerous, you can never tell what someone's thinking.
What I like is that the officer clearly communicates that he’s calling for back up simply because of numbers and doesn’t want any “misunderstandings” with others behind him.
It must be extremely stressful as a police officer to listen to lies day after day. It is obviously a symptom of addiction but how do you ever trust anyone when that is all you hear every day?
Nancy Gabl After awhile, you get used to it. Experienced officers can cut through lies like a hot knife through butter. What you hear and what you see are two different things. Experience tells you to trust what you see and not take being lied to so personally. At the end of the day, someone wants to avoid going to jail. It's just business.
Fake sirens are used as a way to bridge cuts together. Using a constant sound while cutting between driving shots or from the inside of the car to the outside helps the viewers’ brains process it as the exact same time, when in reality each shot could be minutes apart. Coming from an editor (not of this show obviously) who uses these types of sound transitions all the time.
It's called a PowerCall Plus siren. Looked it up through UA-cam and it's either a PowerCall siren or PowerCall Plus depending on the department using the siren.
No the show is 90% real I had the pleasure of having their presence in my housing development one night a couple weeks ago. I can say however that we had law enforcement officials/officers from more agencies than I have ever seen in the 30+ years I've lived in Phoenix Arizona, we even were honored enough to actually see the state Police and the Phoenix PD helicopter all for a cat stuck in a tree lol
