AWWW Jadel you are the sweetest UA-camr ever!!!!!!! This is why I have always watched you from day 1 and will continue for as long as you produce videos. I always learn so much for you. But you are much more than just a UA-cam star, you are an amazing person and friend, although I have never met you in person I feel like you are truly my friend. Thank you thank you thank you 🥰🥰🥰
You are an amazing blessing that brightens my world EVERY week❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. I’m truly happy you found such a fulfilling art and more importantly people who see the beautiful you and give their support💕💕💕
Oh you are so sweet! What a great thing you did here for us all. I still maintain heavy body Arteza with pouring medium, pile the paint on that dot and it’s perfect every time. But like you, I have a lot of DecoArt Americana so this was quite helpful. Thank you 🙏
Did you see I did that 🤗 Because you recommended it. I just used Liquitex heavy body instead. And… it was my fav. Now that I have Arteza paints I’ll get to try it to the letter. I’m just so excited I can use my paints too ♥️♥️♥️
You are like a mad scientist! and you GOT IT!!! But somehow I knew it would be from a squeeze bottle that you'd get the best dots. I had ordered a whole set of those soft squeezy bottles and I use them all the time for lots of different things!! I love that little stirring gadget too!
Great minds girl… those bottles aren’t bothering my hands too bad. After a bit my hand wants to get a little shaky but so far so good. I just take a little break and I’m good again. Careful with that stirrer… it loves to splatter but it sure beats pounding all my bottles on my hand to shake 😂😂😂
I tried to use DA Americana with HG (but not with the pouring medium), to try to get puffy dots. My problem was they all sank in the middle as they dried, leaving little craters. I wondered if it had to do with climate. I would think the paints would dry slower where it's more humid. I'm in Arizona where the air is super dry, so maybe the faster the air sucks the moisture out of the paints, the more they crater. I dunno. I've taken to using the liquid pearls and Nuvo Drops to minimize frustration. The only problem with that is sometimes I want specific colors. I think I'll try the experiment again with some pouring medium and see if that resolves the crater problem. Fingers crossed. And, thanks so much for your dedication to making all these videos and helping all of us. You rock!
Crossing fingers. It should work. I’ve had heaters going lately so my humidity is nearly gone. Well it was. It’s back 😂 Arkansas has some very bipolar Falls. The dropper bottle is everything I think. You’ll want to really watch bubbles so they don’t cave in too. I’m just learning too but I’m so far so good. I think I’m going to use this technique in the next video with that treasure gold paint.
Hi JaDel, Another interesting tutorial. Thank you so much! I saw another artist add baby powder to her paint to get puffy dots, also to make it the right consistency for cone painting. I have not tried it but thought l would share. Sounds easy and cheap😅🎉
Thanks for this wonderful research video!! 🥰 I love, love, love testing tools and paints. This was very informative. I, too, cannot squeeze bottles. My right thumb will not cooperate. 😵💫 Girl, you belong and are one of the very best. I love your videos.
I've also heard that you can add corn starch in your paints to thicken them as well, but haven't tried it personally. I too went with the heavy gel and loved the results.
@@themaddtatter6679 I’ve heard that too but I never tried it. Don’t laugh but I can’t mix that stuff good enough in my kitchen to make anything more than that oblique stuff… I knew I’d mess up my paints. Ok.. let’s laugh 😆😂😆
I’m so happy for you to have found how to build your dots. I love heavy body paint for the different ways they can be used. Sometimes Hobby Lobby has them on sale. They will go a Long way too.
@@beverlyaten1775 I’m pretty sure I’m going to stick to what I have… my art room is shrinking 😂😂😂. I’m thrilled with these results using my DecoArt. Time will tell how much I use this. I’m using it a lot at the moment. I’ll see if it’s a phase or not soon ♥️
Good morning! Great experiment, as always, I learned a lot. Bubbles are the bane of my existence any time I stir my paints. Yours always look perfect and bubble free :-) Wishing you lots of hot coffee this morning and a beautiful day!
Thank you ♥️ Girl… I always treat my paint like a cake mix.. 😂😂😂 I bang the bottles on the desk, I flick my paint palette and… if one ends up in my dot? I torch it! I battle them too. Happy Sunday my friend. I recently took my sweetener from my coffee so I’m learning to love it again 😂
@@JaDeLRocks lol I used to torch bubbles when my artistic media was pour art :-) I still have my little culinary torch I'll dig it out and try that next! :-) I have always liked my coffee black and strong...however, holiday time a little splash of sugar free peppermint mocha creamer flavors my last cup of the morning :-D
Try adding a small amount of a texture paste to the mix you have made in the squeeze bottle this will give the paint a bit more body and help hold the form better ….. even a tiny squirt of pva glue would also help hold the puffy dots too - but definitely the texture paste will make a huge difference 🎉
@@ArtyButterfly wow, ok! Can I ask? Why would I add anything. Tell me what I don’t know… I’m eager to learn 🤗 I’m in love with the results I got here today.
