15:00 Oh this is not Brazil tho, most people there are from India (we love India btw), it was in the last world cup.
Fun fact: One of the most competitive championship of the world is the *Brasileirão* (Brazil National championship) 🇧🇷 In 2021, the competition was chosen by the IFFHS as the strongest national league in South America as well as the strongest in the world.
Really, this is another level of entertainment! Is like watch a tv drama. The physical and psychological pressure that athletes go through is no joke. If a football player can stand out on Brasileirão he is the BEST of the Best. And they can go to any team in the world they want.
This championship happens every year, during almost the whole year (the 2024 Brasileirão is about to start).
So Brasileirão (and other national stuff) is everything brazilians care about, we don't even care to world cup this much (in fact the national team is not very loved here nowdays because most of them play in Europe and don't have a bond with brazilian fans), nor other America's championships (because the prize money of ours is bigger) but we are still winning those too. Anyways for me the local teams from Brasil are the one who truly represents our football. ❤

Latin people from America and Europe are certainly more lively than other europeans from other regions, such as those from nordic and scandinavians countries.
Note: Unfortunately, in Brazil there is violence when opposing fans of rival teams from the same city meet and I hope this idiocy ends one day.

Oh, football violence is part of the game basically everywhere. For example Hungarians aren't nearly as energetic or fierce as Latin people (for example Romanians in our vicinity are way more "all out, all the time" in basically everything, from driving to politics), but every time a major football fan group goes anywhere, the police is there to supervise them. Fighting is also more regular than the optimal.

Spanish people are already very mixed iberians, celt-iberians, berbers etc. So when mixed people goes south america they mix even more in that sense... latin people today is just considered people that talks language derived from vulgar latin language not genetically latin. The "culture" videos about Europeans were not accurate (and I'm sure very stereotypical for South American countries too), like if they are going to show these kinds of videos, at least make sure they are about the countries of the people you bring in to record the video.
On another note, many people have said what's wrong with the tittle, but as someone from Spain, why did they give the Catalan flag (in the thumbnail) to the girl from Mallorca, Islas Baleares? They are two different autonomous communities!! Also, if you give the autonomous community flag to one of the Spanish girls, you should also do the same for the other Spanish girl and the other girls (like be specific about each region each girl is from).

Typical American phrase: "The Latin term is never used in this context for European countries"... LOL
Are you aware that the conglomerate of Latin European countries is called Europa Latina/Romània? Or that until 2012 all of us Latin countries were part of an international organization called the Latin Union, with its headquarters in Paris, which was founded to safeguard, promote and unite the entire Latin world? And that the term "Latin lover", which today many Latin Americans make their own, in reality was created for us Italians and consequently for all the other Latin peoples of the Mediterranean? We have the inscriptions on the monuments that affirm our Latinity in Italy, and we have always considered ourselves Latins, only that today due to the Americans (everyone... from Alaska to Argentina) there is misinformation about Latinity. This same alphabet that we adopt to communicate is called "Latin alphabet" and originated in Italy, therefore in Europe, not in America. I could go on forever... because the reality is that in America you don't even know what Latinity is.
I'm Italian and I'm LATINO, an autochthonous Latin or Latin European, so: VIVAT LATINORVM (translate this for me, guys... since you are Latin too haha).

to recap: an Italian and a Spaniard becoming super friends, an Italian and a Frenchman in a foreign country try to be friends but can't communicate well, an Italian and a Latin American become friends but after the Latin American understands that Italians they are similar to them and are not snobbish, because Latin Americans believe that Europeans are all haughty, even countries of Latin origin such as Italy and Spain, Latin Americans do not know that an Italian understands Spanish very easily, a little less Portuguese but we still have many things in common, we are certainly a little colder, but it also depends on the area of Italy, in the south they are very close to Latin American countries, while in the north they are very similar to northern European countries. I'd like to add info to the football section. When my uncle was a teen, he traveled to the south of Brazil with friends. He was in a bus and there were Argentinians going back to their country after some match (not sure if it was a clubs or nations game), but the Brazilian team won and my uncle and friends bothered the Argentinians the entire trip. Eventually they had a stop in the road and the bus left earlier than the time agreed, my uncle in the middle of nowhere with no phones at the time - not even sure if my grandparents had landlines at that point - was in despair. The best answer they got was "oh you'll have to wait for the next bus", but they had luggage in the one that left... About half an hour later their bus got back to the stop, the Argentinians realized they were missing and told the driver.
My take is: make hell of rivals lives when they loose a match, it's worth it.

USA people created the "latin american" term so they can distance themselves from people born in other countries in America, so that they can be the "only" americans while the others are "latin" or canadian (Canada speaks french too and it's not part of LATIN America), They put lots of countries together to erase that everybody born in America is AMERICAN. Argentinians are americans, brazilians are americans, mexican are americans! but they're not recognized as americans only ppl from USA. Other thing that makes NO sense at all is calling "Mexicans/ Middle and South Americans" as "latin", latin is not a race, it's a language! and USA people are just called "white", since Europe invaded and forced their culture over America the so called "latins" are WHITE too, look at Ana!, other people born in the USA that's not "white" always have to be called something else (that can't be "white" or American) black people are AFRO-american, asians are Asian-American, etc... but white USA people are not called euro-american they are just "white" or "american" 🙄erasing the CONTINENT over their country.

What catches my attention as a Brazilian is that many people think that "Latino" is only those born below Texas and that people who speak Latin languages but were not born in Latin America are not considered Latinos. Example: Shakira sings Latin music, Edith Piaf does not. Latin American countries and “Latin European” ones are similar. Similar culture, languages, values, religion (Catholicism), law system, architecture, football fanaticism, tight family ties, even food. I’m from Chile, I recently lived in Germany and even if I felt a kinda welcomed, I only felt really at home when I visited Spain and Italy, and a bit of France as well. Every single person I’ve met in Germany thought I was either Spaniard or Italian, 0% guessed Chile.

@@nukekidontheblock8349A Latino is someone who speaks a language originating from Latin! "Latino" is not race! Although the term was created by the United States as a form of racial separation, to separate America, which is a single continent. A way of speaking in the past "us and them, whites and non-whites". The truth is that Latin America, like North America, is made up of people from all over the world, not a single race, but a set of peoples. The difference is that in the United States and even Canada it is much more segregated, with separate neighborhoods for Jews, Asians, Italians, Irish, etc... And even though these people have been there for centuries they are still seen as if they didn't belong and as if the true American was the white Anglo Saxon... In Latin America there is no such sharp racial division. Ana is extremely white, if you do a DNA test on her, you will probably see that she is 97% European or higher, but she is Latin in culture and belonging as she was born and her entire family is in Latin America. There is no "Latin race". There are Latin people, whose language comes from Latin, their culture and religion influenced by the Romans and these in turn, by the Greeks, Etruscans, Phoenicians, Gauls and all the people who inhabited that Mediterranean region, mixing, adapting giving rise to the Latin European peoples who inhabit the Mediterranean region and these people who later gave rise to Latin America.

France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Andorra and Romania are all similar because of the Latin background. The Roman Empire and Latin language origin. Because of that when Spain and Portugal explored the world and set up colonies they brought over that same culture. But in the America’s that culture was mixed and integrated with native and African customs and traditions. So we’re all Latins. Some Latin European and others Latin American. "Latino" means someone who speaks a language originated from latin, people from the former West Roman Empire: italian, french, spanish, portuguese, rumanian, also part of Belgium and Switzerland. Of course, south americans can also be considered latinos as long as they descend from those people, but there is no need to emphacise this.
