During awakening the nightmare I created some grunts and they said the walking talking cannon fodder line and then immediately got destroyed by an abomination.

But it would not even be worth making a halo game playing as a grunt as realistically they would not survive.. at least when playing ODST, you are a HIGHLY trained marine who is basically the best of the best without being a Spartan so surviving wouldnt be an issue. Maybe making it a campaign extension where you play as a grunt in a squad of elites and grunts... That's the only way it might work but it could only be a couple missions long.
@@t1tanfallpr025 Hey, I have a grunt OC who, with his elite pal, are half heretics and tried to survive all sorts of shit since the great schism. If you avoid any potential side issues, it would be a neat story. Besides, it could be fun if they made a more co-op game where you interact with each other, like the elite giving the grunt a boost so the latter can open mechanisms or get to turrets to assist the elite.

Maybe the back story could be that the elite trained the grunt during free time so that way the grunt has a bit of training when the campaign starts.. I don't know but it might work EDIT I do like that idea- (the co-op interactive game.).. Maybe a few different ending depending on the choices of the pair
