LMAO
YOU ABSOLUTE MADMAN!!
"First in a pan, let's add whole milk, heavy cream, milk solids, and sweetened condensed milk."
I would not be surprised if he actually did that it looks easy tbh
real
My whole family loves “ Nopales “ ( Spanish term ) they eat them as a side with beans, rice, meats, and you can even dice it up and add it to “pico de Gallo” to make it deluxe edition.
Nopales con huevo me gustan mucho
mi familia lo come con salsa verde con pollo
This video is pure good vibes , keep up the great work
*Gully : “Apparently some cacti are poisonous”*
Proceeds to eat
Well, not this one. Mexicans eat cactus all the time!
@Alex2345 si wey
Golden gully eats cactus and dies
(Eats lemon and dies meme)
Also gully said this isn't the poisonous one
Apparently some mushrooms are lethal but, that doesn’t stop millions of people from enjoying the safe ones!
I am glad you liked the nopales…As a Mexican this warms my heart 😃
Is that the actual name for this type of cactus?
Yes it is I can confirm as another Mexican
Saw the thumbnail, first thought that came was " How far into the comments before I see Mexicans talking about nopales, and the kulfi comments.
@@rexy15__9 nopales is specifically the prickly pear genus right? Not other species?
@@GoldenGully ye
Glad you liked it! I recommend sautéing the cactus leaf with some sliced onions till they’re caramelized and enjoying them together. Goes well with a slice of Mexican cheese in a taco all together. Highly recommend since you liked it! People also make cactus salad, but it tastes different (more fresh and sour). I prefer it sautéed like this.
watching you enjoy something from my region so much makes me so happy
Never imagined you could fry cactus like chicken-
Cactus parm here we come 😅
@@GoldenGully You MADMAN!
@@GoldenGully today we're gonna make cactus kulfi
@@GoldenGully That's smart actually
@@GoldenGully That's actually a genius idea.
All i can think about is Sokka trying cactus juice and saying "It will quench ya. Nothing is quenchier. It's the quenchiest." 😂💀
BIG! FRIENDLY! MUSHROOM!
Was thinking the same thing bruv.
YES! Was looking for this comment hahahaha
my man
And he looks like Sokka too!
Glad you liked it! Cactus is great alongside protein and in burritos. And Totally agree with you on the Pakistani-Mexican fusion. I make Karahi with 50% of each “family” of ingredients, frequently. They go together great.
I'm mexican and from my vague memory we ate this in salad form, 'ensalada de nopales' and we fry up the nopal kinda similarly or sometimes it's boiled I think and then dice it then add some diced tomatoes and onion and cilantro I believe. From what I remember it tastes pretty good. It's a simple dish but that's one way we used to eat it.
*_Here's how you can make cactus kulfi. Kulfi is basically like ice cream and it's a very famous frozen dessert in Pakistan. You know Saturdays are my cheat days_* 💀
yes, cactus kulfi.
your not a madman

I'm from Mexico, and, we call it Nopal along all over the country and we usually cook them with scrambled eggs, or also filled them with some cheese 👌🏼

nopales are awesome if you know how to make pico de gallo add this to it i promise you would eat the whole thing
Now we know 🤤
@@GoldenGully I saw somebody had a cactus in like survival videos but like only for water
@@zroreaper add it cooked or raw?
Here in the Caribbean, people would soak this type of cactus in water and then drink the water.
Ur an inspiration to all those foodies out there.
love to see someone eat this and stay sane. i’ve been playing dst too much
Idk why im addicted watching this, its been 5 times today and i forgot in total since this video was posted
I don't know why but him getting all excited after eating just put a smile on my face!

It tastes amazing with molé sauce, but it's good with eggs in the morning too :) braising them in salsa with some shredded pork or beef is also really good.... lots of different ways you can eat nopales 😋🌵
It's amazing how you always have something that can describe its taste.
Try adding it diced up in Pico De Gallo Salsa. I make it like this all the time adding bite size cucumbers in the mix with lime juice seasoned to taste. I usually add some clamato too but not a lot. Gives it a similar taste to Ceviche but with no sea food. I plate it on a tostada, smearing a bit of mayonnaise to taste, piling on the pico and adorning the top with shredded queso fresco and Mexican hot sauce of your choice. Ill eat like 3 or 4 of these for a meal. Really filling and all veggie as well. Its also sold sliced up in jars as well. Just make sure to rinse it out before you dice it up.
There is a chef called Timoteo Domingos, he makes a lot of dishes with cactus i recommend you take a look at his recipes :)
You want to slice it into thin slices, then sautee with some onions, garlic, and chillies. Scramble that with some eggs for a tasty breakfast, or use it as a topping for tacos, burritos, etc. they're also really good pickled, although they're a bit slimy like okra. You can actually buy jars of them pickled, usually if the Latin american food section of grocery stores in the southwest US.
Always learning new things with Gully! I for some reason assumed Cacti would taste either mildly sweet, like an aloe, or like cucumber. Never would I have assumed sour and the taste of spice without the heat.
That actually looks very tasty good work, very good work now I’m going to get some cactus
Gully is basically preparing himself for any possible situation he'll get stuck on.
He will exactly know what to eat while surviving
why does this look oddly appetizing
the cactus is really good! it has this metallic flavor and excretes this red juice when I bite it! its amazing!
This is my Fav ! you should try cactus chopped up with onions cilantro & fry up your cactus wit with some chili flakes & put it on a taco (you might need a mexican salsa too add to it ) but its really good !!🎉
Oh, yes yes yes. We, Mexicans, love them! My dad has grilled these a couple times when we'd have a carne asada as a kid. My Mom has made them with steak, tomato, garlic, bell pepper, and onion. Soooo yummy!😁🤤
Con una salsa bien picosa 😋
I love this guy he is just always entertaining ❤😊
Wow!!! This touched my heart and hits home because nopales is part of our part of our Mexican nutrition you make a salad out of it with red onions, cilantro and Serrano chilis. You can add baking soda to keep a nice green color and avoid the slime release of the Nopal
A pineapple 🍍 and nopal smoothie tastes good just blend w water and drink chill
Here's how you can make cactus kulfi, kulfi is basically like ice cream and it's a very popular frozen dessert in Pakistan. You know Saturday's are my cheat days. In a large pot add milk, heavy cream , milk solids and sweetened condensed milk.

I love making pickled cactus. I remove all the knots and needles, of course, then I bake it in salt. Like literally under salt, and it removes the slimy stuff. Then I'll quickly wash the salt off, set it in some vinegar with spices and the next day it's a perfect topper to tacos, sushi, and just by itself on a dish. If you can, grow prickly pears to grow in your yard (they grow fast!) and you won't run out of food when the economy collapses :)
You can enjoy nopal raw as well. Also if you’re interested in making cactus kolfi i recomend using prickly pear or tuna as we call it in Mexico, instead.
The golden balance yessir I love you and his videos bro

I thought they were called "prickly pears". They can be found in Mexico and also in some U.S states like Arizona, Texas, California and I have seen them in southern Italy as well.
No, he's eating cactus or "nopal".. a Prickly Pear is the bright red fruit that grows on a cactus or "Tuna" in spanish
How cool! Sounds good
Cactus pico de gallo with fresh cheese and tostadas is the best. I was not a fan for some time but with pico de gallo it gives it so much flavor.
Kulfi is a frozen dairy dessert originating in the Delhi under the Mughal Empire during the Mughal era in the 16th century. It is often described as "traditional Indian ice cream". It is popular in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East and part of the national cuisines of India, Pakistan, and Trinidad and Tobago.
you know pakistan was a part of india so its a a traditional pakistani ice cream.
@@meme_compilations ok but he shouldn’t say that kulfi is a popular dessert in Pakistan, he should also mention other countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East and part of the national cuisines of India, Pakistan, and Trinidad and Tobago.
@@aparnaraman3605 yh true but since he is pakistani he will mention his own country and also he gotta make these videos short plus its become his iconic catchphrase so i dont think hes gonna changee for a while.
but i agree you are right.
@@aparnaraman3605 Sorry for acting like a kid but whenever i go to a video about pakistan
there are always indians trying to make fun of pakistan or some shit like that. i dont get why cuz pakistan and india were literally the same country.most of the this hate has been created by politicians and it has divided so many people.its sad to see pakistanis or indians arguing over there country being better or more powerfull.

lol looking at the cacti outside now like ✨🌵✨
Wow, now I wanna try cactus, that legit looks like it'd make a good snack for tea/mirienda
Hey Golden Gully I have one request can you try and make dry fruit kulfi pls
My mom used to make a cactus soup when I was little and it was so delicious I and I think the taste you're tryna describe is that taste that i found so pleasant and why I found it so good
Fried beans and cactus with either a spicy or non spicy salsa for flavor is basic and easy yet incredibly delicious, I recommend that for breakfast and you can even add in egg
Can you make a kulfi of this? XD
We usually cut it into pieces and make a salsa with tomatoes, onions, serrano pepper and cactus aside with a tortilla and eat it like that or add a spicy or mild salsa. Also another recipe it cactus with eggs, onion and tomato and tortillas also a homemade mild salsa its delicious and healthy !
Así se comen bien deliciosos, como extraño comida de rancho😢
@@TACOHEAD8835 a mi me encanta asi. Soy la unica que como asi mis primas y primos no comen nopales
I did not expect you to put a sound effect 😭 GOAT tho 😈😈
I think you should make lemon n mint kulfi great vid btw!
This is a certified "You MADMAN" moment
Pakistani-Mexican fusion cuisine sounds amazing... Also nopales are good on steak tacos I've heard!
We usually eat it with grilled asada or chicken. Also can be mixed with a pico de gallo. You can also cook them like you would do with tomatoes in jars and boil in water.
I just saw you in Shelby's Canada video👍 I'll give you a follow!
You should try huevo con nopal! Basically scrambled eggs with chopped up nopal. It is a traditional mexican breakfast. Serve it up with some beans and tortilla de maiz and its so good. You can also make tacos out of it.
Nopal with melted cheese is the best ❤
some cact have super small thorn thing tho, i suggest to burn the cactus before cooking it, make the cactus safer plus add a charcoal flavor
Prickly pear cactuses are amazing to ate after you scrape of the pricles. Make a prickly pear chai or kulfi with it!
That's a very normal "dish" here in México but it's not cactus it's called "nopales", we usually eat it cooked just with salt an oil, but you can also dice it then cook it, then add tomatoes, onion salt and lime. Another way of preparation its cutting it in strips cooking it add onion also in strips then add black pepper salt and clove. I hope this is helpful for you Gully.
P.S: I really like your videos. also don't forget to try making "Nopal" Khulfi
(Sorry if I have any redaction spelling or any kind of mistake, im a native spanish talker and english it's my second language) EDIT: Ñ
I love cactus! Cut in string and sautéed with anything is good!
Try taking those prickles off by searing in open flame. The char gives a nice flavor!
the best way to get rid of the glochids from cactus (or prickly pear) is by burning them off on a gas stove or something, just dont keep them there too long. source : adam raguseas cactus and prickly pear video
In Mexico we make a combination at times with eggs or chorizo sometimes bacon and cheese depends but it is supposedly good for digestion.
I love cactus insides
In Mexico we call it nopales and use it At lot of dishes, glad u like it
What is your background music brother i am listening it since long 🤌🏻?
I've expected of that cactus looking like an avocado
dayuuuum merch drop when?
DAYUMM THAT LOOKS GOOD
Try cactus fruit, used to eat everyday in school. It's sweet and tastes like passion fruit.
Try making chaqafuli next time, its a georgian (not the state) traditional dish,i have a feeling you might like it alot.
My parents used to brown up some ground beef and use the oil to saute the nopales with tomatoes onions and jalapenos then mix everything together with some cumin and garlic
I'd chop it small and fry in crushed garlic and chilli and eat with rice or totilla/roti. Texture wise it does look similar to ladyfinger or even courgette.
0:06 OOF
I just planted some cold hardy versions of they’s here in Massachusetts. All kinds make edible fruits and they grow everywhere there invasive in Australia and Africa there native from Canada to South America
Try fruit of babool tree. It's in season, here locals call it pattod and fresh achaar is made from it.
I wasn't expecting that reaction wow this means that cactus is really good cause gully gave it a 8.7 rating this means this thing is probably bussin ❤
Why was that so satisfying when he took his first bite 00:27
Next time chop it up , and cook in some oil, when it turns color (from bright green to just damp green) then add eggs scrambled.. season after with salt (add garlic if you want and spices) then eat in a flour tortilla, or corn .. in tacos . So good
Today we’re gonna be making cactus kulfi
If you don’t know multi is basically like ice cream and it’s a very popular dessert in Pakistan
In a saucepan combine heavy cream whole milk milk solids and sweetened condensed milk
Add in some Raw shredded cactus and keep it on low to medium heat till it thickens up
About 30 minutes
Then put it in any mold your wish halfway put a strip of sautéed cactus unseasoned and cover it up with the rest of your kulfi
Freeze for at least 8 hours preferably overnight and enjoy
Love your videos ❤ Love from Bangladesh! ❤❤❤❤❤
Cactus is super underrated as an ingredient
imagine theres still a thorn on that cactus 😭
You should try prickly pear it’s a staple fruit in the moroccan summer it’s very sweet and easy to eat 😊
Prickly pear is the fruit of the same cactus in the video...
