Talk about a can of worms... Literally any cutscene theme from HI3 is incredible. Nightglow, Cyberangel, Starfall, Honkai World Diva, Rubia, Moon Halo, and Regression (specifically the live version which has the singer from Samudrartha) are just the ones that I can vouch for.
@yaajnavalkyaturumella2093 didn't forget, just haven't heard it myself, so I can't tell if it's good or not. Knowing Hoyo, probably is.

Absolutely love this song. This song, and the cinematic it's featured in, are what originally got me into Honkai Impact 3rd.
If anything Star Rail is a spin off of Honkai Impact, lol.
You see, HoYo has multiple games in what we call the Honkai-verse. They all have their own story that they follow. If you know the lore/story of the games you can see some connections while playing the story sometimes. It's not necessarily to know about the other games if you only want to play and enjoy one game tho, so you're fine.
Honkai Impact 3rd has some of the best songs I’ve ever heard. If you’re going in the order of the game, Nightglow should be next, that song makes me cry for reasons
Honkai Impact 3rd was Mihoyo 's first foray into 3-d gaming. It's a mission based fighting game. The previous two houkai titles were 2-d shooting games. Kiana (the girl in the picture) is their oldest character. She's from their very first game (fly me 2 the moon). Except for the PVs (and except for one of those: Deep space anchor) all HI3 songs have vocals. You might want to watch the animation that the songs are from, even on your own time. They are great! Especially, when you consider this is a f2p mobile game!
Basic premise? This will be tough😅
The world is at war with Honkai, which grows stronger as civilization progresses. Honkai is a force that can create monsters, natural disasters, plagues, zombies and Herrschers - beings with god level power over their respective domain (Void, Thunder, Reason, Sentience, Ego, Dominance, Wind, Fire, Death,...). "Honkai Impact" is basically an enormous catastrophic eruption of honkai energy. Honkai's only goal seems to be destruction of humanity. This girl on screen is Herrscher of the Void, I recommend watching scene where this music plays, its epic and fits the music really well.
Anyway, humans have their own forces to fight Honkai: trained Valkyries and honkai-powered mechs (honkai is a good powersource😅).
The important part in the story is that a lot of herrschers are our Valkyries, but due to various circumstances honkai is able to 'possess' or 'override' their consciousness with honkai persona. Due to certain someones's sacrifice in the past, modern day herrschers can regain their human mind and become humans with god lvl powers fighting for humanity.
The story is complicated and absolutely amazing. Music is great but it really is better with the cutscenes.
Cannonically next would be "Nightglow" from cutscene "Final lesson"
My favorite tho is "TruE" from cutscene "Because of you"

I'm glad you didn't tell the "truth of the honkai" and only thr perspective of that we start off with.
Starrail is the sequel to APHO (A post honkai odysey) and APHO is the sequel to houkai 3rd
(APHO is a game mode inside houkai3rd)
Check out the concert version if you have the time. The honkai3 concerts are pretty darn entertaining and I think you'd love them for the instrumental work and live performances alone.
yes they are hours long, but every second of it is soooo worth it, you are entertained each second that it feels like minutes passed by, absolutely amazing !
A song that is in Honkai Impact 3rd that also came out in HSR is Kevins Theme called "For Kevin" I would also recommend for you to watch

if you want, react to the "Introducing the honkaiverse" it give you a worldbuilding view of the Game and Story
And if you really want, react to the Animation short too, like The Song Befall and then the Animation Short "Will of the Herrscher" then you know whats going on, and its defitnly worth it to watch
Honkai impact 3rd was released 2016, way before Genshin and even Star Rail, its the original series.
I have a few favourite ingame themes : Trace, Sink, the whole HoD bossfight theme, The entirety of HoT bossfight theme. I honestly listen to them daily and they are rarely ever talked about in reactions and gameplays alike. Would love to see you react to the entire Honkai Impact 3 ost albums, tho it would be a much longer video. Hope your day is good
HI3rd is actually the first and arguagly the baby child all other hoyo properties have branched from.
besides thier previous games, but HI3rd is the game that saved the company, so it (and to an extent HSR) is/are HoYo's favorite "children, but i think all HoYo games are on the "imaginary tree"
honkai impact came before star rail
First Honkai impact is a game before honkai star rail and genshin were out second the honkai series started with ggz(honkai gakuen 1 and then 2) third the song from honkai gakuen are the same song sometimes as honkai impact but they gave the old song more flavor or in cases changed huge parts making them differents songs
I know others are going to be recommending the vocal songs, but i think Honkai Impact's non-vocal music is severely underrated. If you have the time I suggest you check out Vita boss theme from honkai impact. All her phases have an amazing soundtrack.

This version sounds like a remix, just watch the official animation. It is much better.
This version is the original, the one used in the animation could be considered the remix. That being said, it doesn't change anything, it just changes where the lines are.
