the main thing to consider about this song is, aside from the fact that it was used for Advent Children so you'd expect it to be an iteration of the original game track, is that it's performed by Nobuo's own band called The Black Mages, and are known to add a more prog rock spin to his tracks, I suggest listening to the Black Mages versions of Dancing Mad and Battle on the Big Bridge at some point.

All these songs play during the show. It hits even harder if you watch the show because we can visually see the scenes in our mind when these songs come on. Some amazing scenes.

Such an iconic boss theme. The strings are anxiety inducing lol. Every time I hear it, it kinda gives me the feeling of the JRPG equivalent of being stuck in the ocean with Jaws.

The remake has bigger impact if you've played the original first.... cause it is referenced as an alternate timeline by the remake. And some events just make a lot more sense that way.

Nobuo Uematsu has said that the way he composed One Winged Angel was that he sat down and wrote a bunch of individual bars. All of them were good, but he couldn't decide what he wanted to use. So he used them all. That's why parts of the song take dramatic turns from each other. (Just in case you were wondering.)

Cassie Wei basically created her own language for her songs, and she uses it heavily in Ender Magnolia. Plus, she blatantly says Magnolia in the song, too. 4:05 I lot of Mili's songs contain key phrases that repeat through all her songs. Just listen to "Mushrooms" and "Galahad and Scientific Witchery" for an example.

I'm someone who hadn't played FF7 until recently, largely in a similar situation to you currently where I knew bits and pieces but never played. At the behest of a friend of mine bugging me until I caved, I finally played it late last year. I streamed it to them as I played and it was tons of fun. I have yet to play rebirth, but remake alone is worth it. Highly recommend. Even before playing though I've always really enjoyed One Winged Angel on its own as well as other miscellaneous tracks that I've heard over the years. It's always a treat seeing people experience the shifts in tone and pacing.

I have to throw in my recommendation for "Sweat" from the same ost. Ender Magnolia has a pretty different setting, a bit into the future after Ender Lilies, so the music largely followed suit, taking on the setting's industrial advances. "Sweat" is my favorite example of this out of what I have played thus far.

In the movie Advent Children there's a cult trying to bring him back. From the song, uh, well... you can guess.

This song honestly gives me the chills every time I hear it. Cause I'm a warframe veteran way back when it first came out on the PS4. And I experienced a lot of what warframe was first throwing at us, and I still remember when I first heard this song. Unlocks that calm warrior memory of mine.

I wouldn't call it Warframe's 'main theme'. It's a bit more than that. It's very specifically the Tenno theme and it's leitmotif is finding it's way into more and more scenarios. The first bits with the pure vocals are the Lotus' theme specifically as well, with the call and response being an important character theme for her. It also has it's moments when she's around. Warframe is astonishingly musical. I'd suggest exploring it in person too, by playing the game. Certain moments are only complete when you experience it for yourself.

Hey, I'm a little late to the party, but I'm a huge Warframe nerd so I have a fun fact for you. This song, released with the quest The Second Dream, is a musical representation of the entire backstory of the game's lore. From Margulis and the Tenno, and the way she would sing them lullabies, to the creation of Transference and the Tenno founding the warrior schools (Such as Zenurik, Madurai and Unairu) to the Ten Solemn Beats of the Naga Drum and the extermination of the Orokin, Margulis being sent to the Jade Light and having to leave the Tenno alone in the galaxy... It's all audibly present here.

Anyone reacting to this song gets a guaranteed watch, like, and sub from me. The first time I heard this song was through a reaction channel, and it introduced me to the game. The story is amazing, and I love the cinematic use of motifs similar to movie scores. The theme here is used throughout in different ways. This version is my absolute favorite, and happens in a pivotal moment in the game.

This song is such of a backbone to a lot of the story that parts of this are used and remixed in other parts of songs used in quests later. A sting is even used briefly in a song from 1999 which is the latest quest.

Not a fan of the music video for Rightfully, but I love the songs and the openings themselves. The music video really doesn't fit the song for me, especially since they're made specifically for Goblin Slayer. So anything besides Goblin Slaying doesn't feel right. XD

The dance scene in the second half of the film does indeed look a bit like a Bollywood movie, but this is an image of the Bon Odori dance that takes place at summer festivals in Japan. The Bon Odori dance is performed outdoors on summer nights by people dressed in traditional costumes. The red color scheme, the lanterns, and the fact that so many people are dancing outdoors in unison are very Japanese😊
