I live here in Spain and we are driving to friends in Portugal in the autumn. I will definitely look into a stay over in Merida! There is a lot of restored Roman architecture, I live in a small village, Rojales, and we have a Roman bridge, it’s absolutely lovely. When they restored it recently, they found further buildings, so no work could be done for a year while the archaeologists dug. I love how Spain keeps the old buildings and looks after them. Enjoy the rest of your trip, looking forward to where you go next.
Your boy is so interested of the ground he is walking on, the lines of the tiles seemed to catch his interest as he walked. He is very interested in all that is around him, as you two are. What a wonderful experience for the three of you to enjoy together. xxx
Thank you for taking us along, greatly appreciated, we could not get over seeing a Tim Hortons, (ice hockey player)the coffee shop all stared here in Canada 🙏✝️🙏🇨🇦
OMG... I'm popping in and out, while doing laundry and see Tim Horton's on the screen! I thought the channel had changed... what the heck! That is so out of place!
Wow - I love a bit of Roman history , and those ruins were superb! What a great find! You 've been lucky so far with William obligingly sleeping on the buses too...makes such a difference 🤗 xx
WOW 🎉well done guys we absolutely loved your Vlog. So professional and informative. William is coming on in leaps and bounds we love him to bits ❤. Thanks again. Trevor & Linda in sunny Lancashire ❤️❤️❤️
Hello from Melbourne Australia. Thank you for your wonderful video of your travels. William is such a sweet little boy and can sleep in different places. Very impressed.
Great entertainment, better than the ‘telly’ my hubby & myself have really enjoyed your trip & we are now toying with the idea of following in your footsteps…..we’re getting on a bit, so won’t be as energetic as you 3!
love that you have a Tim Hortons in Spain. I live in Buffalo NY just across the Canadian Border from the first store. We have one on every street corner.
What a lovely clean place that is. It is amazing the Roman architecture that is still standing and appears to be so well preserved. Thanks again for sharing this journey. Have a Blessed day.
Lovely to watch you all is an understatement and how you manage to live life on the move , rest sometimes, and make and edit very delightful vlogs is just spellbinding. Thank you.
What a beautiful city. So nice to see so much of the Roman City. I live in Chester but our Roman ruins are nowhere near as impressive as that. Looks like William enjoyed his stay too. Take care. Nick
I am enjoying following your trip. It is amusing that there was the old expression "spending a penny" I suppose now with inflation it has become "spending a euro".
Awesome journey from Portugal back to Spain. What you have shown is its possible to travel from country and across without a car, also sightseeing is not impossible when using public transport. ❤
Imagine, you guys, Tim Hortons in the town square. Lovingly known as Timmies here in Canada...it's 'birth place' lol. Guess you didn't have time for a double double or donut. Great vid, brings back lots of memories from our trip thru Europe many years ago.
Another fantastic video! I was quite relieved to see William hale and whole after seeing what appeared to be his outline at the window of the steeple at 8:39. Whew!!! Quite a relief.
You are certainly exploring more of Mérida than I ever did, and I passed through twice whilst walking the Camino de Santiago (Via de la Plata & Mozarabe) Really nice to see you enjoying your continuing adventures!
Well, you couldn't have timed those bus rides better... could have been a very different story with young Bill!! Great to see a different side of Spain and Portugal - you're both so chill x
Oh my, was that a Tim Horton's in Merida? I am used to living within a 5 minutes walk of a Tim's no matter where we live in Toronto, but to see one in Merida was quite something.
@@queen.cee234 the consequence of going international. Hard to think of it being Canadian anymore. Can’t even get a decent assortment of donuts anymore.
Just loving these vlogs :) Might even try to copy your travels later this year. I am is so used to trying by car/plane it would be nice to travel a little more slowly. Wonderful memories for you all x
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
What a beautiful city! I’ve never been to Spain and always hear about Barcelona and Madrid, but now…… I want to visit Merida. It’s gorgeous ….. except Tim Hortons with its weak coffee, &stale donuts. Canada’s answer to mediocrity (and my kids love it🤨)
Well,I've watched enough you tube by now to recognise some excellent filming AND editing. Thank you for showing me this place where I'll never go. Yes,those roman ruins had me a bit staggered like you say,the roman remains we are used to are much humbler in scale. My heart sank to see it was a vegetarian place,oh no,but I was reassured. Actually I do enjoy veggie food and eat very little meat, from choice, and budget but I do love cheese, fish and other dairy despite awareness of issues....but I'll stop now, just vegetarians and vegans tend to be very SINCERE.
Bit baffled about arguing over the euro coin it’s simple dad stands guard whilst mum and child use toilet unlocked then on exit dad slips in !😀 slip of the tongue by Jo mentions the Normans in the arena, super Roman bridge and architecture ruins. 👍
Bloody Tim Horton's are popping everywhere! I wouldn't mind if it actually sold decent stuff but it's awful. Other than that though, Merida looks good. Also, Lisbon is in my top 5 favourite cities. Will have to look at the wide beams. Would make a nice change from skinny 😁
Cool video - I am adding Merida to __my__ list now! (not least because now I know I can get a Tim Hortons in the main square! - kidding, well kinda ;-) )
The Romans were great builders, and the beat example of this if you explore europe is how many of their structures still exist today as you see in this town.

Your vlogs are so lovely, you are very clever and it’s done with such love and humour. I have really loved being on this journey with you all .🤗
Loved the shot with the Tim Hortons in the background. A classic Canadian staple in this ancient city. Lol

Well I must say your video's are so proffesional and you are amazing travellers loving the journey with you all and William is still a little star.
Wonderful touch with Russell Crowe and William. Delightful video. Thanks a million.

That was a perfectly cut documentary. You guys have skills.
You're editing is amazing, as I guess it should be with your background, but it makes your vlogs such fun.

Now in Michigan too. Saw that too.

People who changed the course of history: Romulus, Remus...and Tim Horton?! Lol!

Tim Horton’s in the video? Canadian donut shop there. They have them in Michigan too.

Can you tell me being English and no longer in the European Union, did you have to show your Passports crossing from Spain to Portugal and visa versa?
You only need to show passports going in and out of the Schengen area.
