    You always wind your torque wrench down completely on zero so there is no tension on the spring

    • @bwxmoto
      @bwxmoto 5 років тому +1

      See now I heard it was that you were supposed to put it at the lowest setting (not totally loose). So I leave all mine at the very bottom, so the spring is naturally under some slight tension, but only a tiny bit. They seem consistent so far! I think the best thing you can do is not to drop them though.

    Gotta say this was one of the most enjoyable (watchable? focused? zen? good?) videos. Something about watching the work come together. Work through the issues. Not too much commentary. No distractions. I sat here and watched the whole thing straight through and if you'da asked me I'da said it was only 10 mins long. Keep it tight and focused like this IMO. Your boys good on the camera. Just slow him down a hair on his camera movement. Get one one of those weighted camera stabilizers for like $40 on Amazon. It will help everyone who does camera work.
    Keep it up. I could watch this sort of video all day. Love watching you get it done.

    After you weld the nut on the broken stud, use a hand tool to break it loose. Steady torque breaks the stud free, impact force breaks the weld. I learned on GM 5.3 LS engines in chevy trucks and suburbans.

    I can't believe this is a house brand engine for a tank tread scooter, it seems like they would do better just making these things. It should last awhile, not just because of the oiled bearings, but also by having retarded idle ignition, but the CDI reads both rpm and throttle position, so the timing can be as advanced as possible. Pretty much the best Honda clone ever. Please revisit this one, it would be so awesome on a mega moto 80!

  • @supermotofeann
    @supermotofeann 5 років тому

    if u ever have to weld in the head like that use a bunch of wet rags or wet napkins, its works so much better at catching the slag and protects everything around it, also no fire bc there wet, just a welding tip for ya =)

  • @watahyahknow
    @watahyahknow 5 років тому

    my guess is that moving the weight of those roller rockers back and forth might loose the same amount of horsepower as with the friction of the stamped steel ones , it might even cause some delay in closing the valves at high rpm (valvefloat) might reduce wear and have less rocking motion on the valve stem though

  • @bwxmoto
    @bwxmoto 5 років тому +4

    I'm confused. If you knew the bolt had red loctite on it, why didn't you heat it up before attempting to loosen it? Or did you and it still wouldn't break free? -edit -answered at 25:33. Makes sense.

    All the air sensors and Ecu stuff can be eliminated with a lectron carb. The oiling system is cool though, idk if lubrication was an issue for gx200’s before. I certainly never have had issues with a predator 212

Also what’s the best deal I can find mini bike wheels and tires with drum breaks? I’ve been searching like crazy trying to find a good deals but $160 - $200 seems to be the cheapest I can find.???? Your going about getting your broken bolts out all wrong.. all you need to get is a left handed drill bit.. drill into it and when the bit gets stuck use the impact with a left handed bit and it will come right out. Happens all the time here in my shop so I have plenty of left handed bits for my impact with the quick bits on it.. works like a charm try it some time
