Glad you showed the mess up with the bolt snapping. Stuff happens to everyone.
lol..I appreciate the videos..after paying bills there's no room left to buy parts or build anything..so i'll live vicariously through youtube
Lol same here brother.

You are SOO SOOO SOOOOOOO much better than I am at not getting blisteringly furious when you break a stud and then weld to it and break it.. and weld to it and break it... You are a wonderful man red beard!
Awesome video! RB, I love engine build videos best. When you modify stock engines those are my favorite videos.
Happy New Year !!! Looking forward to more projects in the new year.
4:18 "I'm afraid I'm gonna strip em". Yeah when you are using the open end when you should be using the box end of the wrench.
Hope you had a great Xmas, and a Happy New Year!
Can't wait to see it run👍
Dude that thing is beyond its time
Red beard I no your a lot younger than I am I'm 52 years old I guess your never to old to learn new stuff every one of your videos I learn something new and would like to say thank you for every video you do
First off, Red Beard, great channel! I use the gauge blue rockers too, I'll be getting the clear cover! As always awesome channel and great videos, please keep it up!
He says i fell like Im gonna.. beeeep! I feel you red did that to the tranny pan of an old van i was tinkering on.
You always wind your torque wrench down completely on zero so there is no tension on the spring
See now I heard it was that you were supposed to put it at the lowest setting (not totally loose). So I leave all mine at the very bottom, so the spring is naturally under some slight tension, but only a tiny bit. They seem consistent so far! I think the best thing you can do is not to drop them though.
that is precisely what your supposed to do
He were can I git one. I cant find it on dtv .com

Love the christmas story lamp in the back
Bro that engine is insane I love it
Nice build mate all the best for new year 🇦🇺
That bike will be Great in the trails.Suspension, and variable torque from that motor is awesome combo !(Ya have a few Great looking fuel tanks from your bud.)
Boy howdy, i tell ya what if that aint the cutest lil starter i ever did see! Ain't no bigger than a lil sac of thumbs.
Sweet. Cant wait to see it perform
Gotta say this was one of the most enjoyable (watchable? focused? zen? good?) videos. Something about watching the work come together. Work through the issues. Not too much commentary. No distractions. I sat here and watched the whole thing straight through and if you'da asked me I'da said it was only 10 mins long. Keep it tight and focused like this IMO. Your boys good on the camera. Just slow him down a hair on his camera movement. Get one one of those weighted camera stabilizers for like $40 on Amazon. It will help everyone who does camera work.
Keep it up. I could watch this sort of video all day. Love watching you get it done.
I LOVE THAT MOTOR !!! Can't find a price for it but that is a sweet setup for a 200cc engine.
You could add a blue led light in the valve cover through the pcv hole and seal it with a rubber gromet it would look cool
Red of there's anything I've learned from small engine performance modifications and what could potentially be done locktight , it would be, using a heat gun. Love this engine bro, hope to get one some day
Love this channel so much!
A mod we have done on a micro sprint engine was to run a thin head gasket to boost compression.
TUUURRRRBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! You have the technology on the engine
I've always heard and seen that a torque wrench should be stored at its lowest setting
That's how the airforce does it.
You're doing great things bro
This looks like my pro point 7hp 10.83 ftlb with a cast iron sleeve! I've done the stage one with mikuni carb & gov removal it absolutely rip
That Lamp tho!..lol..Merry Christmas!
Fragile...it must be French.....
Let me see how it looks from the street!
Great Video RBG! SHOWDOWN!
BAT OUT OF HELL RACING Snowblowers were 110 volt starter I believe, gonna need a long extension cord.
I will take that custom rocker stud bolt. And that's no joke.
You mentioned the four studs in the rocker stud package but left out the fact that a real stud was installing them. This is a SUPER impressive build. Can not wait until it's done. To all you haters out there...quit posting mean stuff or I will hunt you down and beat you around the head and neck area for picking on my Red Beard. By the way this is Jim not Julie posting these comments. God Bless and peace out to Red Beard, Mrs, baby boy, brother, Lonnie etc etc
Cool video red beard
Hey Cuz, i'm liking the way you thankin with yo thankin thang! Lmao.
I love the lump of garden hose for the 'oilway', they could have used a colour other than green ;0)
After you weld the nut on the broken stud, use a hand tool to break it loose. Steady torque breaks the stud free, impact force breaks the weld. I learned on GM 5.3 LS engines in chevy trucks and suburbans.
Have you seen the bolt heaters?... snap on happy new year peace
127 K now 200 K coming soon
love love love this vid
Happy New Year ! You mentioned in the video you were going to tell us the lift and duration on the cam. Of course I was waiting for the info, but it never happened ... Please tell us as you said you would.
Nice engine
always use assembly lube or 30 wt motor oil under the head stud nut and washers.
The side play on the rocker rollers is probably there because the aluminum will expand with heat. If they didn't have endplay they'd bind when hot...
I can't believe this is a house brand engine for a tank tread scooter, it seems like they would do better just making these things. It should last awhile, not just because of the oiled bearings, but also by having retarded idle ignition, but the CDI reads both rpm and throttle position, so the timing can be as advanced as possible. Pretty much the best Honda clone ever. Please revisit this one, it would be so awesome on a mega moto 80!
if u ever have to weld in the head like that use a bunch of wet rags or wet napkins, its works so much better at catching the slag and protects everything around it, also no fire bc there wet, just a welding tip for ya =)
my guess is that moving the weight of those roller rockers back and forth might loose the same amount of horsepower as with the friction of the stamped steel ones , it might even cause some delay in closing the valves at high rpm (valvefloat) might reduce wear and have less rocking motion on the valve stem though
I'm confused. If you knew the bolt had red loctite on it, why didn't you heat it up before attempting to loosen it? Or did you and it still wouldn't break free? -edit -answered at 25:33. Makes sense.
All the air sensors and Ecu stuff can be eliminated with a lectron carb. The oiling system is cool though, idk if lubrication was an issue for gx200’s before. I certainly never have had issues with a predator 212
What if any is the torque value on the head studs? Great video. Permatex makes the new orange lock tight, holds like red but works like the blue.
Love the vid
I use a buiseness card to set the cap between the flywheel
I wanna see that little beast turbocharged
The bearing on that side cover looks like a roller bearing instead of a ball bearing like a predator I like that
With the ECU abilities this little engine could be a good platform for a turbo...
Kinda like Cars and Cameras turbo drift trike
@@joshdupont2209 this would be a better platform because of the ECU. It can change air fuel ratio to keep the engine from leaning out at high rpm. That is hard to do with a regular carb.
@@gonzobtrappin1911 their ECU is self learning. It should do the same, no?
@@joshdupont2209 if it has an ecu yes, but looking the description of the engine I didn't see one.
I want to se that thing turbocharged too
“Do you think this’ll work?” “No.” “Okay.” *Proceeds to weld*
Thats going to look SICKKK lol
All quick like.
use a pencil torch to heat up the boss around the broken stud to melt the red locktite.
I know this video is old but i just bought a lifan hp212e and it's almost exactly the same.
Mrs...I never noticed seeing my name on the wall but I did see the cross. I still love you even though you left me off the wall. xoxo
It is on the wall. I double checked last time you said this.
Wish u would have ported the head since u had it off, but love the channel
I've been looking at some of the fuel injection kits out there have you used any and if so what is a good one for tuneability on race engines
Hay red beard check out the gas tanks for motorized bicycles would fit your build and look sweet 25 bucks on amazon
Watch someone make a side cover so that you can put that oiling system on a predator 212
"High tech." *HAS A CARBURETOR*
Still a really good video we usual keep it up!
We usual*
Wyatt - "Carburettor ," what's old about that ? Do you want a Rocket fuel delivery system using Hydrazine & compressed gases ? That high tech enough ? Gen X OR Y who aren't old enough to have ever driven a carved Vehicle,..
..their around.Cheers Trev NZ
Can you build a doodle bug style mini bike from scratch, but scale it up to adult size. that would be a cool build.
damn I'm on time
Perfect for a turbo
You need to heat the head with out heating the bolt after you weld the nut on, the aluminum needs to expand away from the steel bolt so you can get it out
I got a 179cc electric start side shaft snowblower motor is it any good for a mini bike build
Definitely fire it up... cmon bro
Great
Poor honda gx just got roasted in this video lol
So is it a carb with tps or is it fuel injected?
Can you rum a vm22 on a 224 predator with no adapter like this engine’s carburetor
tui rất thích cách bạn làm .tui muốn học hỏi
You need to get some air shocks and put on something? Mango Duce maybe!?
can u use 1.2 or 1.3 rockers with stock springs and push rods.
Yup
Would those champion rockers fit a gx160
can you drop a link to the valve spring compressor you used in this vid? cool engine man keep up the good work!
Click on the Amazon link at the top of the description and it's in our tool list
Red Beard's Garage thank you👍🏽
Can you do a video on tuning a makuni v22
That intake port tho!! Huge compared to gx200
Me praying for RB so hard at 19:07 😣
I checked the link for the engine and it doesn’t show a price for it or a option to buy one. I was wondering what you think about this engine compared to the 10hp Tillson motor.
You should use a tig to remove head studs
Hey red i need some advice please. I’m trying to make my old Schwin Stealth 1000 electric scooter gas powered. I purchased a predator 212 from harbor freight a few weeks ago to do this project. I also own a welder, grinder, and regular tools. My questions are what number chain should I use, and either a 5/8 or 3/4 jackshaft. Also what’s the best deal I can find mini bike wheels and tires with drum breaks? I’ve been searching like crazy trying to find a good deals but $160 - $200 seems to be the cheapest I can find.???? I checked Craigslist with no luck either.
Smash the dern like button people 🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻
Tool box tour plesss
HERE!
Hey anyone have an idea why my rid keeps slipping off the exhaust rocker on 212 pred
I think it would have been easier to either mill or drill out the stud, then run a tap through the threads
Where do you get the Honda gx200 carb from
Were can i find an engine similar to this
Your going about getting your broken bolts out all wrong.. all you need to get is a left handed drill bit.. drill into it and when the bit gets stuck use the impact with a left handed bit and it will come right out. Happens all the time here in my shop so I have plenty of left handed bits for my impact with the quick bits on it.. works like a charm try it some time
"All you need" you've obviously not removed a lot of broken off bolts. Guess you haven't broke one of those bits off before...
you should do a bicycle engine mod and soup it up
How much would it cost to build this engine?
I need one for my jeep
Where do you get these engines and how much
What website did you get the engine from?
That thing is JUNK dude
how so? im genuinely curious
No u
You probably don't own one so how would you know if it's good or not .
