That's a lovely setup (and a very generous space for 30-48 quail - nice to see). How do you find egg-hunting? Would think it is somewhat difficult, especially in the straw?
we have a straw nesting area that makes it easier to find eggs - in the summer they lay in the sand - you can see our update videos - we now have two quail houses and a breezeway - that fit over 200 quail in the summer - with tons of room
