2009 BRITISH TEAM GRASSTRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2009 British Team Championships was held at the Ugley Bowl and the East Yorkshire Sidecar Team were brimming with confidence that they would win, and looking at the crews they had in their team you could understand why, with Rob Bradley/Shaun Simpson, Rod & Gareth Winterburn, and Chris Winterburn/Liam Brown, it would take a very good performance from any other team to stop them from taking the RH Sidecar class. Maybe the team that might give them the most problems would come from the South Eastern Centre Team which included Rob Wilson/Andy Colvin, Myles Simmons/Kevin Woodley, and Robbie Wilson/Colin Hill.
In the Solo's, it looked like the home team from the Eastern Centre held a very strong hand in all the Solo classes, with the 250cc team comprising of Adam Shipp, Steve Syrett, and Gary Wells. Their 350cc team had Rhys Wilding, Richard Smith, and Karl Rushen, while their 500cc team had Darren Rolph, John Yeldham, Scott Camposs, and Dean Garrod. The Midland team also had a very strong looking 350cc & 500cc teams, in the 350's were Tom Perry, Mark Taylor, Tim Curnock, and Darren Drew, but it was the 500's that looked the strongest team on paper, with Tim Nobes, Tom Perry, Rob Finlow, and Phil Ashcroft. It would be interesting to see which team would lift the overall trophy, where consistency was the name of the game.
