TOM JONES - “THUNDERBALL” (2010)

UK pop star vocal legend, Tom Jones (born 1940) singing the theme from the James Bond 007 film, “Thunderball”, from his album, “Tom Jones Live”. Music composer, John Barry, teamed up with lyricist Don Black and wrote "Thunderball" in a rush, before the film’s release in 1965. There had been problems with earlier versions and singing artists, notably Dionne Warwick and Shirley Bassey. Tom Jones, who sang the new theme song, allegedly fainted in the recording booth after singing the song's final, high note. Jones said of the final note, "I closed my eyes and I held the note for so long, when I opened my eyes the room was spinning."

OK in 1965 but by 2010 [the date of the upload] he was pushing 70 [I think] but he still looked and was singing pretty well for his years. Not many could manage it. Lord knows how he kept his throat and vocal chords intact!
