    I haven't gotten any grains from Azure, mostly from Country life natural foods so far. I have never sorted, and I have been doing this for 30+ years. If I see a few things in there like weed seeds I will pick them out, but for the most part they have been pretty clean. I think I've had one small stone years ago. thank you for your encouraging videos.

    I didn't know that about debris in Azure wheat berries and am so glad I saw this video before using mine. I have had it on hand for a very long time but haven't used it yet as I am working through flours first. Your style is almost exactly the same as mine. For once AI and the algorithm got it right in suggesting this video in my feed. I too love storing everything in clear glass and being able to see it. I also love using old wooden shelves. I'm fortunate to have my great grandmothers clear glass and wooden curio cabinet and an old wooden crate from the steel mill that my father worked at for decades in my kitchen. It was also refreshing to not see a "haul video", which is such a turn off to me but instead you thoughtfully highlighted some products and it was interesting and informative. Finally, this old lady wants to commend you, young lady, for the normal speaking voice that you speak with during the video especially at the beginning. Listening to you was like sitting in your kitchen as a family member or friend and it came across as warm, authentic and genuine. ❤ Subscribed ❤️

      Oops after commenting I took a look at your home page and see haul videos. I hope that you are not offended by the previous comment. Just call me a grumpy old lady, it's my personal opinion that I just don't enjoy those type of videos.

      You can get the plastic screw top lids and use a drill bit the same size as your straw to drill a hole in the top. Or maybe even a metal top? Just a thought!

      Don't feel bad (grumpy or old LOL). I don't like the 'haul' videos people do either. I honestly can't stand grocery shopping myself so I figure why would I want to watch what other people bought😆? I usually skip those videos on most channels, altho I do like kelli's thrift store finds. To me, it feels like 'showing off', maybe. Like, "look what I can buy" type feeling. They make me squirm a bit. I also looked into Azure standard & I cannot for the life of me see the benefit. Maybe that is because the cost of living is drastically different in some places. EVERYTHING was way more expensive than I can get it locally & I only have one pickup point that is 'local' (over an hour away & the girl won't hold your items if you are late. sHe sends them back with the truck. Over an hour away would be bad enough, but I live in central NY, near Syracuse & the pick up point is all the way past Watertown -total snow country!!!) I don't mind some simple reviews of items, but I just can't stand watching people unpack & drone on & on about their purchases. And I don't consider myself old - 43. just not into showing off.

    I so enjoy seeing your assorted shelving and glass jars. The varying shapes and sizes along with the varying shelving choices, speaks to my soul. I need to do my own restock and organize. However, before I invest my time and energy into that project, I want to finish the new pantry area. I want to make the best use of the space and my time, and that’s not possible unless I finish the room and know exactly what I’m working with before taking on the task of restocking and organizing.
    I’m curious what method you use to get labels off jars. I have been working on getting a label off a honey jar from Azure for a week and it’s still not all the way clean. Thanks for sharing, and I’m sending warm fall 🍁 wishes from WA for a wonderful weekend! God Bless You Kelli!

      Thank you Cheryl! When labels are tough to get off, usually lemon essential oil is the thing to get it off, along with my plastic lodge scraper that I use for my cast iron! And it was a lovely weekend thank you, I hope that you had a wonderful weekend as well and a great thanksgiving!

    I have questions, once you have your fresh herbs of the plant then do you put them straight into the Mason jar or do you dehydrate them ? Do you not need to keep them in the fridge?

    Are the glass straws tempered glass bc the way my family breaks stuff! I am stuck using plastic bc apparently I am allergic to something in the stainless steel straws and break out in a rash every time I use one.

    Amazon has the glass “beer mug” glasses with wood to go tops that work with glass straws. However…. The glasses themselves are not as sturdy or thick as a mason jar.

    That is the biggest struggle for me right now

    • @homewithkelli
      @homewithkelli  6 місяців тому +1

      You know, I don't really do meal planning. I like to have lots of ingredients on hand, that way I have freedom and flexibility to make what I need. So I have an idea in my head of what I will make in the next day or two depending on thawing meat and sprouting grains, but an actual written down meal plan has never worked for me.

    What a nice relaxing tone to today’s video! I too, enjoy getting my pantry in order like this. I’ve been wondering about the Azure Chocolate Chips made with coconut sugar. I will likely give them a try now, after hearing your comments on them, as the regular are indeed sold out quite often. Enjoy a blessed day!

    I am currently working on relabeling my apothecary and I really like them!

      @homewithkelli  10 місяців тому

      Hi Evelyn! Thank you so much, and yes I love the labels too, they are so clean feeling. It's the dymo label maker. I got mine from back in my amason buying days, but I know staples sells them (or they did) because that's where I've gotten the tape refill.The mason/ball jars I mostly bought new- some we're second hand. And the unique jars were either from auctions or gifted to me. And some jars are from azure foods that I've repurposed.
