    I work alot in New York City where there is alot more people and alot more traffic. Yet traffic in New York City keeps moving because of three things.
    1. Synchronized traffic lights.
    2. Police officers in major intersections during rush hour traffic directing traffic.
    3. Bus ONLY lanes.
    If Toronto synchronized the traffic lights, put traffic officers in major intersections during rush hour traffic to direct traffic and had designated bus lanes going in to and out of the city it would help traffic move faster and more people would take the bus knowing it is faster and cheaper to take public transportation to get to and out of the city.

      There are bus only lanes in some Canadian city's but people don't know what those are here because there's very little driving etiquette

    • @Chios82100
      @Chios82100 Рік тому

      @@ben156 Maybe if the police did their job there would be more driving etiquette... Driving in a bus lane in NYC is $500 fine plus point on your license. Parked in a bus lane is $1000 fine plus towing fees, plus storage fees. The only cars that can stop in a bus lane are taxis and that's only if they are picking up or dropping off passengers.

    I moved from Wuhan, China to Toronto 20 years ago, for 20 years Toronto hasn't built a single subway, and just one Eglinton RT was built for 10 years but still not in use. While the City of Wuhan has built 10 subways, each is about 30 km long, in 10 years, fully operational. The western countries are corrupted, people get over paid but do less work, infrastructures are too expensive to build, that's why the city's infrastructure is crumpling.

    It’s mainly because Toronto has Lake Ontario tight along the south part of it from the east to the west which pushes traffic back and forth along the northerly part of the city and directly through the city. In other words, it’s a geographic caused problem for the most part.

    Toronto's problem is speculative wild development of condominiums in crowded areas. 407 toll road among the most expensive in the world just to enrich a few friends who bear responsibility for the deadly accidents of 401. totally 19th century public transportation, subway no street car is needed to alleviate traffic. Totally useless traffic light system with disturbing accident rates, can be replaced by more practical and less dangerous roundabouts. pedestrians who do not respect the rules and the cake of all the salad the wild cyclists where anarchy is their order, with a blind police that only sees the infractions of the cars.

    All that money the city paid for expert opinions didn't cover this for 180,000 dollar study. And 20,000 per block for bike lanes. John tory has made many silly decisions that a toddler would make. yeah let's make bike lanes that block traffic and run the pollution through the roof. If he didn't waste money paying for studies that isn't needed because it's just a stupid idea in the first place . So the city has run out of money after they gave them selfs a raise, wasted tons of money, they make enough off parking tickets 22 million was it? Now repairing the gardener is dumb its rusted and cracked concrete that is falling in chunks. It should be torn down and a new one built.... instead of patch work i don't drive under it, it's not safe. Oh and let's raise property tax 1% under prime.... 5.5% librial thinking I'm sick of the city and librials wasting money it should be criminal they did studies wasted money instead of fixing the roads properly the city hall is dysfunctional like having kids go to kindergarten with out the teacher.
