One thing I was curious of was disconnecting old injectors and installing new. I’m sure I’ll be able to figure it out. Once again, you gave me the confidence to do it myself. Life long backyard mechanic pushing 72 y/o.
I needed to see how you separated the fuel rail/injectors from the engine block....many thanks. Learned a long time ago not to wrench/pull/torque or leverage things without seeing how they actually come out/off. Great help...another old guy (73)

I'm 73 and it takes a while for me to do the job. Would take a lot longer if I didn't have your help. I've done the brakes, rack and pinion, ball joints, sabilizer front and rear, rear end cover, plugs, coil packs, and the list keeps growing lol thanks for your help!!!
Nice video. These engines are known for loose intake manifold bolts. My envoy has 320k and tighten the bolts twice already. But now it's probably time to pull the manifold.
Thank you for the video 😁... I've been putting this off for a bit of time as well, think im going to get it done soon now that i got your video as a reference !!!

Glad I found you, tx for your Trailblazer videos! My sister has a '03 with rich code P0172 and want to test the injectors for leaking but don't know how to get to them.
I have a 2004 trail and the security locked stereo try’s to start but won’t kick over it was fine one day and the next nothing checked battery the fuses the starter plenty of gas this is all good can’t figure it out
Do you think taking the plastic cover off of the intake and throwing them away would hurt anything? I just would think the intake wouldn’t have static hot Air stuck in between ie letting air flow around it keeping it cooler and cooler intake charge.
Hello, great vid.. I have an 04 LT w/6cyl. 1 code (P0455) evap issue. chasing that down. The issue/question I have concerns a rough idle that happens while in gear and break depressed/stopped. Idle is smooth until last 100 rpm drop to 600 then rough idle occurs. This immediately smooths out upon accel. pedal depress and rpms begin to raise. Power band is smooth, seems fine. Recent work, new fuel filter, evap purge valve, canister vent vale. spark plugs and recently 1 coil. The engine does not buck/shake it's a vibration and causes trim around back hatch to "buzz". If this was an old timey car a slight turn on a carb idle screw would fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi .. what kind of vacuum can be used to clean the injector holes ? I’ve read how certain electric vacuum’s and dealing wit fuel directly should not mix or something like that
Hi Nathan , I changed all my injectors (with the help from your video😁) and now the trailblazer cranks but wont start😰. Maybe you could point me in the right direction since you know these vehicles inside and out. Thank you!!
@@4amhussle492 ensure hose that he mentions at 4:12 is attached to the nipple on the valve cover. Mine did this and was just that stupid hose wasn’t on. Probably not it but got me lol
If you removed your fuel pump fuse/relay, did you put it back in? I pulled the fuse and ran it till pressure was zero eliminating fuel blowing out at connection. Let’s hope I put mine back in. I’m about halfway through the job.
So when I change the injectors should I go ahead and change the fuel filter as well? And what about the fuel pressure regulator? Because the issue I'm having is if I'm at a red light too long the vehicle will stall and either cut off completely or stall then continue to run. I also sometimes get the p0172 code from time to time
Hi Nathan. Your Trailblazer videos have been a great help. I have Question Plz. I have a multi misfire major power loss issue. Have replaced coils, plugs, cat conv.( it was ruined due to driver continuing to drive when running with misfires), throttle body crank sensor, cam sensor, pulled tank, ran fuel pressure chk, and preparing to do fuel injectors now . Before I do this let me explain how it all started. I was replacing headlights and blew a fuse. I pulled outer fuse box cover off and made wrong assumption that four small bolts held inner cover on, so I loosened completely all four. I put everything back together and forgot about fuse box bolts being loose. I tried starting it and no go. Realized fuse box bolts were loose tightened them and truck started with bad missfire. Owner continued to drive and performance deteriorated. When I started running codes and replacing parts things just kept getting worse. Sooo, my question: do fuel injectors or computer module, or is problem in fuse box. Only code now is a 300 multi misfires.
Pain in the ass job But hey save myself $750 Gonna have to endure it. What a freaken pain in the ass job. LOL Thanks for the full clean extensive well descriptive Video My man
If you will will you please answer me back and ASAP please what did you use to take that fuel line off and disconnect you stated that you use something like what is something like this can you please tell me a way to get that off without having to spend $24 that I don't have for a fuel line removal kit.
You mentioned your injectors were $40 bucks or so. Question: each $40 or 6 for $40? I’m looking into replacing them all but listed the cheapest as $42 each.. please clarify. Thanks
Great video! I have a 2003 LT that's been parked on the side of my house for about 3 years. I replaced the spark plugs, new battery, oil, and fuel filter. The fuel filter was pretty plugged up. I drained most of the gas tank and added around 10 gallons of fresh fuel with some Sea Foam. I can keep it running with starting fluid. When I remove the fuel lines by the fuel regulator it seems like the fuel pump works intermittently, maybe weak? I did drain the fuel tank by bypassing the relay and drained it at the fuel filter. Does the fuel pump have a screen or filter on it, maybe clogged? I ordered new injectors and fuel pump. Any ideas? Thanks
I’ve got a misfire after trying to start my envoy multiple times with insufficient fuel. Was really trying to be lazy and not have to walk to the gas station… Well the autozone reader said P0306, but after clearing the codes I only get a P0300. I was assuming clogged fuel injector but decided that since I took that intake manifold off once before and hated every minute that I didn’t want to do it again if unnecessary and I’d do a little diagnosis. It seems like it’s actually the coil based off of the engine idle not changing when I disconnect that coil, but then when I use a multimeter set to ohms, that coil tests the same as most of the others(didn’t pull number one cuz it’s underneath the wire harness). 4 out of 6 coils show continuity on pin 3, didn’t test one of them, and then one of them shows continuity on pin 1. But that’s not the one that I disconnected the cable to and the idle didn’t change. But the idle changed on all the rest. So now I’m super confused if it’s a clogged fuel injector from trying to force the car to start to get me to the gas station close by, or if it’s one of the ignition coils. But if it’s one or more of the ignition coils, I’m not sure. The ignition coil from cylinder 6 seems dead from pulling the cables while the engine is running but shows a similar multimeter reading while *cylinder 3 or cylinder 4* has a different reading. I’m baffled… don’t want to start throwing expensive parts at it though especially with the job and a half it is to get to the fuel injectors
Not sure why you took the washer fluid tank off , kinda wasn't in the way at all , was it ? Gunna go for it on my 2006 Trailblazer, the schrader valve broke off the fuel rail when I was trying to do a cleaning with the canister type cleaning system. Oh and yes a big pain in the butt bracket is on those emissions lines and yours was already removed, lucky you , lol
If you’re gonna do this job be sure to put that PITA bracket back on. There’s a few bundles of wire hanging on the bracket which could start to rub metal. Plus not having the bracket puts undo weight on CPU and cables. Make it right. Gonna take longer but it’s the best policy. Car makers don’t put unneeded parts in.
