  • My 2kW night heater performed well for several months. However it recently failed to start and displayed error code 8 or 10.
The symptoms my heater displayed were a number of failed startup cycles accompanied by thick smoke from the exhaust. After a number of failed attempts, the unit would display error code 8 or 10
I first run the heater without fuel as I thought it may be flooded, however the problem remained.
In this video I explain how I dismantled the heater prior to cleaning the burner.
I can confirm that once reassembled (see my next video!) the unit worked perfectly.

Very nicely presented, thanks for showing all the innards. Definitely helpful for a project I'm working on.

    Hi, Great videos.
We're currently planning converting a MWB Ducato into a camper. I see you have experience (and tweaking/repairing) with both 2kW and 5kW diesel heaters.
Considering the size of a Ducato would you now fit a 2kW or go for a 5kW and use it at low output?
    Cheers
    Ron
