.....I just love this whole scene. It's one of my favorites in the whole Princess Tutu series and so I decided I wanted to upload the DVD quality version. I'm glad Uzura is in this scene too, cause she's just so adorable! XD And I absolutely ADORE the background music here, which is an instrumental/orchestra piece that bears the title of this Act (Ruslan and Ludmilla...I think it's Russian?)
So why the Japanese version of the audio? Because I like those voices better, no offense. XD Sakurai Takahiro as Fakir just rocks my socks, because he's one of my favorite Japanese VAs. ^_^
Anyway, sorry this isn't an AMV. ^^; I just had to upload this scene. Enjoy!

Rational Me: The ending of Princess Tutu was perfectly executed and fit the themes of the show to the end. It's the right way to conclude the series.

Fakir is the best character in the show.
I was obsessed with this show when I was 14 and now, 13 years later, I still can't get over the fact they didn't end up together.

I was upset for a while but now I really like their conclusion. One of the first things Ahiru says is that I’m just a duck, in a very insecure and self deprecating way. I find it really beautiful how Fakir tells her it’s okay to be a duck as it’s her true self. And that they can spend their life together regardless.
So glad I’m not the only one still thinking about this anime at an age my parents already had me and their own house
I mean, they kinda ended ended up together :00. Even though she's still a duck , at least he's there for her amiright??? And the last lines say "and the man started writing" so it isn't impossible for him to write a story about Ahiru being a girl again ;0;

Best line that was never in this story was "The Princess picked the Knight?! No! The Writer?!"
Then the old fart at the end of the clip would have said "Oh damn it!"
And we all would have been "THANK YOU!!!!"
I actually played Ruslan and Lyudmilla in my Orchestra this year for competition. When I heard it playing in Princess Tutu with this scene, I was so ecstatic I'm sure anyone would have thought I was mentally unstable. I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot. :D The frantic joyousness of the music with the pure, fervent emotion of the scene really makes this a beauty of a moment. ^^

BWAHAHAHA no matter how serious the moment is, whenever someone says "Fakir" it sounds too much like "F*** here" so it's so hard not to laugh! so when Ahiru screamed "FAKIR!" i was on the floor laughing and my mom gave me a funny look XDDDDDD
O.O When I first heard Fakir screaming Ahiru's name, I thought he was sneezing "ACHOOOOOOOO!" with his eyes open. xDDD
Glad you like this scene, too! XD When they said "Together", I nearly cheered. I mean, they did a little bit of working together throughout the series, but it was usually kind of begrudging or as Fakir told her in Act 16, "Just do what I tell you"
I thought the exact same thing when I first saw this scene in English. It sounds like something's going to hit Ahiru and Fakir is telling her to duck. I dunno, something like that.

The version I have, when Fakir shouts, "AHIRRUUUUUU!" he spits everywhere. O_o; Looks like they clean him up later lol.
You are my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of my favorite scenes and I cant find any of the japanese version anywhere. I agree the BG music is magnificent. But this made my day thank you for putting this up =3

This scene is exactly why I cannot watch the Dub of Princess Tutu. The drama of the scene is ruined by Fakir screaming "DUUUUUCK!"

@@weskersbutt. we can still hate that. It's one of the reasons I won't watch it in English, either. And honestly, the Japanese cast is way better. I can't stand Mytho in English.

Pendant-induced transformations aside, she's a duck. Period. It's right in her name. The anime is quite clear on that being what she really is.

LOL No. I just saved the AVI files with "Audio Track 2" instead of 1. XD I debated uploading the English version, but honestly, the Japanese sounds a lot better. And I prefer "Ahiru" to "Duck". It just sounds better to me. XD;
Well, I suppose I could upload the English version of this scene. o_O I don't know. I saved both audio files, actually, cause the first one saved as default which was English dubbed. But I'm definitely not going to go about uploading the whole series. XD; You can find the DVDs on Amazon. That's where I got mine.

Hee! XD I was honestly a fan of them since around Act 12, for certain. That episode cracks me up so much. XD And finally Fakir showed that he had a dork side. haha
Yay for Saurai Takahiro fans! :D I think he did a great job with this, too. ^_^ I liked his performance in MLR and FF7 Advent Children, as well.
He does the best job when he plays a little paranoid twink. Without a doubt he is one of the best voice actors in Japan.

That's okay, I like the Japanese dub better too. Fakir and Ahiru are pretty damn good in the english dub, but Rue and Mytho... Yyyeeaahh... They always take out the best parts in the english dub's or manage stuffing it up somehow, whether it's with the voices or with the script.

LOL! XD I bet that was quite a surprise! I saw the full dub on DVD after I'd seen the subs. I just...can't get used to hearing "Duck". XD; It makes things more awkward throughout too, due to lip flaps. I know they dealt with that, but still, I just all-around prefer the Japanese version. ^^;

this, is my second fav episode ever; only beaten by akt 36 (act 25 with dub) when Drosselmeyer forced Fakir to write the story of Ahiru's death (that Dross is dick at time, but gotta love him regardless!).

Ok, Major undertaking, to explain the scene is to have to give away a lot of the anime, best to do is watch it. If you like Disney and old fashion fairytales you’ll love this anime.
This scene here, she was trapped with a Certain character’s “Main” world and the male character Is trying to get her out.
