These are very helpful given that my classes usually have a barrier between ground BJJ and hand to hand MMA. There are a few takedowns (from attacks such as haymakers and roundhouses) but nothing like that which was shown here. Starting on knees for wrestling definitely develops strength and most certainly some technique as well as being safer. But knowing these takedowns are very useful for a self-defence situation.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Great practice with a few takedowns and groundwork, but not a lot of no-Gi, MMA technique
