    I UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING!!! TAKE THAT MATH CLASS!!!. that being said. I have a few questions
    1. Why do you dilute the product? Isnt it better to just use it without dilution? I mean, isnt it supposed to be better that way?
    2. When do I need to dilute the product?
    3. Which products should I dilute?
    4. how much ratio would be good or is 10 to 1 always the best?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  6 років тому +2

      Hi, those are all good questions. Many of our products come concentrated in order to give you ultimate control over the product and offer you the best value. "Better" is all relative to the situation: sure, a stronger dilution would be better for a tougher job, but for a light cleaning, a less strong dilution would be more effective. You should dilute whichever products say to do so on the label. The specific dilution ratio will change depending on the product, which you can find on the product itself or on the product's web page on our website. Thanks for watching and make sure to check back tomorrow for a new video upload!

I won’t be using anything else other than chemical guys. Because there’s not a lot of valeting shops near me Where I live in Essex(U.K) I use a company called Original Gloss. Fully stocked and quick delivery. I’ve learned a lot through this channel and hope to be starting a mobile valeting biz soon.

      You're welcome Justin, we try to be as thorough as possible. Dilution ratios is a topic that many people get easily confused by, that's why Chemical Guys assembled this nifty dilution chart to help you get the proper mixture of deionized water and cleaning product. You're in luck Justin, we're launching a new video today, and you won't want to miss it. ''

    Hey your youtube about dilution is excellant. I am lucky I found it. Maybe you can help me. I am using Kleenrite soap injectors which combine soap product with water. The soap I am using has a label on it that says " pre-diluted 50/50.Draw mixture from bucket & further dilution will be done by the unit injector" So my question is when I use other products with lets say 32: 1 should I just make that products dilution and let the unit draw it at that strenght or cut it more? I have no control over the injectors. I hope you can help.

    So..... if something is 16:1 does that mean I take the volume of the spray bottle, divide it by 16 and that gives the 1 amount to put in?

    • @TeeBee1535
      @TeeBee1535 4 роки тому

      troykm No, you take the volume of the bottle and divide it by 17, remember he first said add the ratio so if its 16:1 you add 16+1

    • @waterfall6677
      @waterfall6677 3 роки тому

      It's (1/17) * total ounce of the bottle. That's how much you add of the concentrate. Then fill the rest up with water.

    do u need to dilute ths with distilled water or does normal water work too?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  7 років тому +4

      Greetings inquisitive viewer, you would need to use either distilled water, de-ionized water, or filtered water because you'll get water spots if you don't. Water spots are most frequently created when hard water is left on a surface - paint or glass - to dry (technically, evaporate). In a best case scenario, the minerals and dirt in the water are simply left on the surface after the water has evaporated off. Getting water spots is problematic since it's tough to remove them, and they get etched into the paint which could cause cratering. If left unchecked, water spots could embed themselves in the paint necessitating the need for polishing.

      @ChemicalGuys  6 років тому

      Hey there, you use a set of Channel Lock Pliers to remove the top so you can pour the chemical into a secondary dilution bottle. The reason why the bottle is locked like that is so that the bottle doesn't leak during transportation.

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  6 років тому

      All Clean is an all purpose cleaner, I would recommend using that for cleaning tires, engine bays, undercarriages, and wheel wells. As far as painted surfaces go, it's definitely recommended to dilute. Diablo Wheel Gel should be the perfect choice to clean wheels, it's pH-balanced to clean virtually any type of wheel. When dealing with any type of surface that's sensitive or delicate, it's best to dilute up to 20:1.

      Litre's, metric, its all irrelevant. Regardless of the system you're using, 100:1 is 100:1.
      100 parts water to 1 part solution in litres is still 100 parts water to 1 part solution in US.
      The ratio is the same...x part water to x part solution.
