If we had our full squad, aka Bruno playing in the midfield, we mightve score a goal, but they would've score 4 more goals. Our midfield is pure garbage when he's there despite his attacking prowess. We lose the ball, get countered. And with Bruno we have 1 less person defending in our half. Simple sad truth.

When comparing Saliba to VVD you have to factor in what VVD has around him. He has had to play with academy graduates (have have down well) and coach them through the game with a No. 2 keeper behind him and a whole new midfield in front of him. Saliba is playing in a stable side that add Declan rice in the mix. It would be interesting to have Saliba play under those circumstances and see if he thrives. Saying that I believe Saliba has been fantastic but the comparison is not as simple.
Then again you can make a case for Van Dijk’s experience vs Saliba’s experience. Also you could say that Van Dijk has imbedded and has been at Liverpool much longer than Saliba has been at Arsenal (His 2nd season now).
Rio you should look at having some new faces come on the show, rotate steve and Joel. They are holding the show back.

Garnacho is unfortunately, doing a lot of nothing. He is so unpredictable to his own teammates that anyone getting into the box has no idea what he is going to do. He needs to be more consistent with his play.
He'll look to shoot, or the other option is run into a cul-de-sac. Net effect is the same, the others may as well not bother making runs ahead or into the box as they'll never be found. He needs to work hard on that as it hasn't got any better this season.

That's rubbish Rio in regards to Bruno. No point comparing him to the rest of our squad and say he's a great player, compare him to others in his position in other teams.
I have to disagree Ste mate, Ten Hag doesn't deserve another year IMO, he has shown that he is not tactically astute, for most of the season have pressed high up the pitch leaving gaping holes in the midfield, has constantly played favourites who turn in poor performances game after game, he is not coaching bad behavior out of the players, there is no style of play and no recognizable patterns of play, every game looks different, every game (all season) is a struggle no matter who we play, there are too many player fall outs, and his player ID is horrendous, signing Onana, Evans, Amrabat, Eriksen, Malacia, Mount, Antony and Højlund have made us worse. After winning the Carabao Cup (Feb 2023) we got smacked up 7-0 by Liverpool and have been gradually getting worse and worse (and that's over 1 year now). I wouldn't trust him to manage a Sunday league team at this rate. I wanted him to work but there are too many issues, Ten Hag and these coaches cannot be here next season. INEOS want best in class? That's not Ten hag!
Whether you think ETH deserves another year is debatable, but the fact is he's gonna get another crack at it next season that's blatantly obvious.
Either way the onus is on the board to help ETH with building a squad moving forward.
ETH was crying out for a striker in the January window and they provided him with nothing except a broken Tony Martial so we can't blame everything on ETH.
Ferguson normally had 4 top strikers to choose from as a comparison as to how far this club has fallen.
No manager could deliver any success under the previous structure, hopefully INEOS get us performing like a big club again as the Glazers have run us into the ground by employing nuggets like Woodward and co to make football decisions.
We need to realise how far we have fallen and just changing a manager will not suddenly produce champagne football.
Every game looks different because every game it's a different 11! Seriously, you've never played the game at any level if you can't put 2 and 2 together there. The players left are incapable/out of form/coming back from injury, it's there in every game. Simple passes, communication, positioning, tracking their men.
Evans was a needs must, Amrabat is a LOAN, because the club let him down moving players on for money having bought players for far more than they should have over BOTH summer windows. Malacia injured all season, Eriksen was fine last season (but was never long term, same with Casemiro), Hojlund is 20 and in his first season at Utd - still scored in the CL, still got goals despite our selfish wingers.
