I think the idea of eternity is unrealistic to Cate? Has god not shown her the way, has he not given her a glimse of heaven where eternity is too short a time!
Cate blanchett complained about brad Pitt in this movie and it makes me angry. There's a key difference between these two. Brad Pitt is a celebrity known for tabloid garbage but he can actually act. He is one of the few "in people" in Hollywood that has created mezmerizing performances. Cate blanchett has this reputation of a "great actor" and can't act at all. Any actor who agrees to play a Russian character (crystal skull) and uses a terrible accent is an amateur. She overacted and strutted all over the set in the elizabeth sequel. That 10 minute ending sequence between brad Pitt and Kevin spacey in seven has more cinematic genius than blanchetts entire career. I admire an actor who can take all the celebrity bull shit bug still immerse himself in a roll and remember he has a job to do in each film.
1) cate is a wonderfully talented actress who has turned in many brilliant performances. 2) her and brad are very good friends with an easy playful banter between them - i've never seen her give anything but glowing praise for him, except in the moments they're joking around, when it's obvious that's what they're doing.
