It would be nice to hear you play a short tune with highs and lows, for all the flutes, one after the other. And/or play lowest to highest keeps (both registers) of each whistle to hear the full range of each whistle, one after the other.
The wild Irish D Was my first quality whistle I ever bought, I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on the cheaper ones, because it is such a joy to play. I am very very happy with mine. I am a beginner, but what a beautiful gift for any beginner, your much more likely to stay with me and Whistle if you have a good one!
Hello Brian, I live in Spain and I wanted to ask you if you know of any shop in the EU that sold me Wild whistles. All the ones I see on the internet are from the UK. I say this because it won't take me months and I won't have problems at customs with fees and tariffs. Thank you very much
Well, looky here! A friend lent me a copy of Whistle Stop, and I just now put it on to listen. Your music was delightfully filling my sunroom, halfway 'round the world from you, and I liked it so much I wondered, well now, who is this Brian Hughes fella?, went looking, and here you are. Not only that, but whistle reviewing, lucky for me. Just received my first `real' whistle from McNeela's, a Setanta soprano D, and I'm guessing that it won't be my last whistle. Your playing is inspirational. Thank you for the music and the craic.
Great choice! Have you seen McNeela's Tin Whistle Course? Could be handy to get you up and running on your new Wild Irish whistle. mcneelamusic.com/wind/the-ultimate-irish-tin-whistle-lessons/

It's amazing the difference a good whistle can make to your playing experience, Michele.
