Thanks to you Brian, I love my Wild Irish Whistle A it's great. Sam
Lovely !! The wild Irish sounds great with you playing it !
Surprised the boat wifi supported being to upload a youtube video of this length, God knows it sucked when I was on board. Good to see you both playing again
Lovely playing Brian and Zac 👏👏
Beautiful playing 🎵
Absolutely outstanding!
It would be nice to hear you play a short tune with highs and lows, for all the flutes, one after the other. And/or play lowest to highest keeps (both registers) of each whistle to hear the full range of each whistle, one after the other.
Hi!! Really awesome playing! Could you please tell the song names? I wish I could try to learn them too one day
jeez, I'm sorry, didn't mention it was already spoken in the video xD Slow air Cape Clear Cheers!!
Beautiful, Brian. I could listen to this all day long.
Lovely !
I just loved that, Brian. Am so envious of your ability. I live in Canberra, Australia and play Scottish (highland) bagpipes as well as Uilleann (digital pipes) in nursing homes, schools and hospitals. My musical partner plays guitar and we are currently working on Pie Jesu, as well as The White Rose of Athens. We also play a mix of Irish, Scottish and old-time favourites, including songs by the Beatles, Vera Lynn, Bing Crosby and others. But your playing is inspirational! Best regards from Australia. - Ken Fraser
Love the segue to Jackson's Rolling. Beautiful tone and playing, Brian!
Brian, you are sooooo great on the whistle!! Thank you!
Sometime I will get a Wild in A and maybe in the other alto and soprano keys. G, F, Bb, C, and D.
Superb 🎶
Beautifully played Brian 🎶
Could you please share the tabs? I've been trying but only got the beginning. It think its: d g a b a g d-f-d And then i lost what you're doing. It would help out a great deal
sorry what is the tone of guitar i am wondering what guitar tone should be if my whistle is D
Could you please help me choose between the A and their Bb? I love the low flute-like sound they have but havent succesfully understood the difference between the two. Any advice?
Beautiful! Both the guitar and whistle.
Gosh, that's beautiful!
Gorgeous playing.
Beautifully played!
Love the review series Brian, thank you. I have 3 of the 5 Wilds now, 2 more to go 😅. What’s your experience up into the 3rd register? Do you have fingering suggestions above the 3rd tonic (D on D whistle, A on A, etc). I’ve requested from McNeela but they just give me the standard 2 octaves.
I have just received my Wild A and love it’s tone. I also like the weight. Can you write the titles of the 2 tunes you played here, I want to learn them? Thank you.
The Siog whistles are the same only different name I’d be thinking . Have some Siog ones.
Thank you Brian, beautiful playing and beautifully sounding instruments. We are buying both the Bb and A.
Could you please share the main differences between the A and Bb? I have a generation Bb that I adore, and wanted to upgrade, however the A has peaked my interest as well but cant seem to get a good grasp on what didderentiates them. I'd really appreciate your help as I've already lookt for an answer on all the forums, reviews etc hahahha
How do I feel about this lovely, lovely whistle? I’m obsessed! I’m still super noob and have only my first cheap Waltons mellow D, but I’ve been eyeballing the Wilds from the beginning. Beautiful and thanks for demonstrating all of them!
I’ve just bought one! I think its awesome quality kit! I love it!🎼🎶❤️🙏
I am now split between the D and B flat for my next whistle. I have a Waltons in D but find the second octave painful so am reluctant to play it as much as I would like. The B flat sounds real nice, maybe I will save to pick one up. Thanks for the reviews.
Have you made a choice already? I also much prefer the Bb tone (and so does my family and cat 😂). I feel like the notion is pushed that you SHOULD play everything in D. However i have a Bb generation and all the irish tunes still sound beautiful and Irish enough in Bb 😂. Love to hear what you got
Since Killarneys only go as low as Bb, I got myself a Wild A. And I agree with everything that’s said here. My only wish now is that there’ll soon be a Wild alto G and F as well.
I'm told that McNeela is working on it!
@@brianhughesofficial4087 Oh that's terrific news! Can't wait 😛
Everything Brian does is authentic and real. He is a genius piper/ whistle player. True spirit!
Hello , would it be possible for you to tell me what diameter the largest holes are on the low f . I have skinny fingers. Regards. . Bill .
What tunes are these?
I love that middle one.
You've sold me for sure....your playing is music to my ears...I bought a Wild D and McNeela sent one to me that had a badly made mouthpiece that had sharp edges on the sides of the delrin in the middle...broke my heart...I really wanted to play it and keep it...but it was cutting my lower lip...I sent it back...they also sent me a Lon Dubh with an unfinished blow hole...sharp delrin also...my whole birthday order ruined....just so upsetting that I got two instruments that I wanted to play and couldn't...had to send back ..all they had to say was "sorry you weren't happy"...seriously???..I haven't received a refund yet ..I so wanted a Wild D but now I'm afraid to reorder. But, I do so enjoy your playing...
wonderful performance by you and the group.
Really admire your whistle playing. You can hear your pipe playing in that too. Wonderful rendition. You truly do justice to the whistle and make McNeele proud. Well done!
Lovely rendition. Love your videos! THANK YOU
Thank you kindly!
Beautifully played and interpreted. thanks you!
Loved it! Big hug to you that first song, simply beautiful and the 2nd fabulous. Fantastic whistle the sound is sublime, can't wait to receive mine.
Love it! That 2nd tune made me want to get up and do a jig. Love the sound it's so smooth and mellow.
Beautiful playing ! And lovely tunes.
Brian- Thanks so much for the beautiful playing! I own the complete line of Wild River whistles and find them amazing, soulful and clear as you do.
It's quite amazing how whistles even in the same key sound so distinct - they have individual character. I have a Killarney and a Wild both in D. Wonderful things they are and so very portable, unlike my piano! 😆
Wondeful. Is this Hector The Hero?
It is indeed, Tom!
...one tunes of my favorite by Liam O'flinn (RIP)
One of the greats both tune and piper, Fabio!
Really liked seeing all the whistles side by side at the end....I didn't know which keys were what sizes...
Absolutely outstanding Brian. Can hardly wait to hear what you do next!
Thanks so much!
Beautifully played!
Glad you like it!
Absolutely beautiful melody by a gifted musician! Thank you for blessing my day!
