Could you explain what the stonegrind process actually does? I just purchased new Atomic S7 skis from Pioneer Midwest and was wondering how often this should be done as compared to regular waxing. Thanks

Hi Leandro! Stonegrinding a ski is basically like resurfacing the base. It will take a very small amount of base material off of the surface of the ski and refinish it with a specific structure that will help speed up the ski in different snow conditions. We can put on any number of different types of structures, but usually help give a recommendation when skis are dropped off. In short, it will take base material off of the ski and help increase the health and performance of the bases after a long season of use.
