Third Year PT Student. I've been coming back to this series of videos since way back in first year Gross Anatomy, and as I'm studying for the NPTE, after all this time, I have yet to find a more informative video on spinal pathways. Thanks for providing a wonderful learning source.
this video is super brilliant thank you! Just onee littleee request, once you've drawn the full diagram could you please position the camera so we can see the whole picture, pause it, then we can take a screen shot or draw it ourselves. Thank you again, loved the video
Sorry, its meant to be a "general" spinal cord segment. It could be the thoracic I suppose but I haven't drawn it to have the features of any specific segment.
please keep working on your channel its awsome and I am surprised that its been years no video has been uploaded on this channel. Are you Ok and fine in terms of your health
Hi Maks, in short what I mean is that senses and perception are not the same. The video mentions the lateral spinothalamic tract and claim it 'carries information of pain'. This is not just a simplification but a massive misinterpretation. If correctness was not the issue (as this is only the intro/overview) one might simplify it as 'nociception' instead.
I really enjoy your videos but how I wish they are in colour! In your videos, it became difficult for me to process all the different labels because they all look the same in black and white. But thank you, great tutorials!
thanks for the video, yet since u look like having knowledge in CNS, I have always wondered how does our thought process go? I mean how do that Neurons locking together make us realize something or have a thought? another question, as how our genetic material is saved in DNA in the form of nuclear bases etc... in what form our memory is formed? I mean the molecular memory mechanism and physiology? if you could provide a simple answer or vid. ps. am a second year medical student
When I click on the provided link to handwritten tutorial's website, an error message about internal error pops up! Was just looking for the associated pdfs mentioned.
Hey there @Handwritten notes: would u be able to tell me about pain gate control theory? P.S I have watched all of your videos for spinal pathways. These are very helpful! Bless u!
This diagram is as from the prone position? this can confuse people who are used to observing anatomy in the true anatomical position or alternatively supine.
There are several factors in reducing neuropathy at home . One resource I discovered that successfully combines these is the Nats Neuro Site (check it out on google) it's the most helpful resource that I've heard of. look at the extraordinary information .
I cannot believe this. How can you accurately summarise what my lecturer failed to do over the course of a semester in less than 5 minutes.
My lecturer didnt even mark white and grey matter.. i feel you.
True
Youre exaggerating
You paid attention this time and were under pressure.
