Good job on the video! Well structured and very good quality. As someone who preordered IW I can say it was very much worth the money spent and I agree with most if not all the points you made. However I will sadly not 100% it since Im not gonna buy the DLC :(. Who's your favorite party member?
Thanks for the feedback! Hard to pick between Tomizawa and Chitose. They both have fantastic arcs and Tomizawa's confrontation with Mendez is absolutely iconic... but I think I'd pick Chitose because of her much more rounded story arc.
This video is amazing, Im not sure how it got in my recommended but you've definitely earned a sub. I agree with virtually everything. If LAD8 had as good of a story as 7, I think it might have become my favorite rpg period.
had to manually type the title of this video to find it (saw it in a tweet). im not really a fan of LAD8 but i like all the mechanical improvements it made from yakuza 7
I’ve fallen in love with these games. One of the few games I was excited for any met my expectations. These games make me laugh out loud. Not many games do that.
I love this game, was able to play LAD7 and jumped right into LAD8, I actually enjoyed LAD8 more than FF7: Rebirth and OG FF7 is my favorite game of all time. That's saying something!
@@GH2MI the song itself on first listen isnt even bad it just has such a distinct opening and after a certain part in the story it gets used for barracuda, gangzhe, and palekana fights and hearing that scream at the beginning gets old real quick
@TheSeeker225 I've tried to get into BG3 a few different times and it never clicked, which I always found weird because I'm quite a big fan of Pathfinder and D&D. Thanks for the suggestion though! I did not claim Yakuza 8 is the best RPG I've *ever* played (that would go to either Xenoblade Chronicles 3 or The World Ends with You), but I do stand by my claim that it's the best I've played in years.
Great gameplay 10/10 kiryu story was 9/10 Yamai 9/10 The Hawaii storyline and characters 3/10. I could do without Dwight, Bryce Akane, and Lani. Pointless lame characters that added absolutely nothing to the story. Ichiban reunion with his mom was weak and pathetic. Hopefully they don’t go the western route again and stick to Japanese characters and locations.
I agree that the story really struggled in parts because a lot of the Hawaii characters weren't fleshed out very well: Lani is basically not a character, Akane really needed more scenes, Dwight is reduced to a glorified cameo, Bryce doesn't get enough development before going comically supervilllanous, and the whole casino in Chapter 6 should have been much more in-depth than it was. For me, I was able to look past it because I thought the main party cast and Kiryu's storylines were done very well, and I found the gameplay was so high quality that its story flaws didn't bother me much, but that doesn't excuse the fact that they ARE big flaws.

I totally agree with the last part, and thank you for the kind feedback!

Thanks for going out of your way to check this video out!

Sounds like you've had the exact same experience as me! I don't think I'll ever get sick of this series.

Awesome! Haven't played Rebirth personally, but what I've seen looks awesome. Only played about half of Remake.
Awesome vid keep it up!
if i hear palekanian dance one more time im gonna lose it
It's not like they haven't nailed this type of song before either, Liumang Chant from Lost Judgment rules

The game is fun but there are MUCH better RPGs out there. I recommend Baldurs Gate 3 for starters. It's the best RPG I've played in years.
