0:26 It wasn't that he chose no to have a lawyer present it was that it wasn't policy for people to have lawyers/ attorneys present during interrogation or for the police to offer that service to you. You only where given a lawyer once formally charged with a crime and being present in court. That's what makes Miranda so important- it not only added a layer of protection against third degree style interrogations as well as introduced the formal option of lawyers being present during interrogation.

It doesn't always happen. There are also loopholes, since they don't have to give them unless they arrest you. Shouldn't it be important to give them before questioning anyone?

It's a court case as explained in the video???? i mean it's pretty self explanatory.

      But why?
I mean, you could give me information that I already have but there's no point in that.

But that's what most educational videos are about. It's great that you know it but it's a good learning tool for those who don't. This just provides a brief overview of the case and if one is interested in it, one can further research the court case on their own.

The youtube channel is called *bill of rights* institute, so they make videos explaining the history and interpretations regarding the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution otherwise known as the bill of rights
