The importance of guidance and teaching for one’s development cannot be underestimated. Seemingly, minor adjustments can make significant differences in timing that contribute to the power and overall beauty of how a surfer rides waves. Even one suggestion or viewpoint they can’t see themselves can impact improvement, sending bolts of inspiration to the surfer.
These little things compound over time, and before your eyes, the surfer can transcend to another level. It's rare because it requires a deep desire to be the best, but if they can maintain focus and continue to improve, they could find themselves amongst the best in the world one day. What does that even mean? An overwhelming nod from the surf community at large.
But here’s the kicker: the result isn’t the pinnacle because it's fleeting and can change quickly, even daily. True success is having here-and-now feelings of connection to the waves where time seems to slow down so you have complete freedom and control no matter how unpredictable Mother Nature can be. These surfs are unique and worth working and sacrificing for. They are also relative to any surfer within their level.
