/ fallontonight - Комедії
As a child of Nigerian parents, I can say this is quite accurate.
pls don't forget your Nigerian cultural values. you rather be where u are celebrated not tolorated.
jiggar22 what?
As a fellow child of Nigerian parents, I agree.
IlluminatiGang Banged get the fuck outta here
+soso694 yes it is accurate but as someone who still lives in naija i guarantee u, its a really really really small number of ppl that would call oprah, operah they would rather say O-pra
All the Nigerians stand up!
He's doing a good job at representing. Nigerian parents are always comical
last year was Chiwetel Ejiofor this year is David Oyelowo. Igbo/yoruba making Nigeria proud globally.
We've been representing in Hollywood, sports, academics, business etc. For a very long ass time, we are really not getting any real recognition !
***** Yaaassssss!
jiggar22 why can't it just be Nigerians making Nigeria proud, why do you feel the need to pin point the tribes. Why can't we just be one
Abasiono Etuk jiggar22 yh don't exclude the other tribes that have the same Nigerian pride as the rest of us.
I love when Nigerian kids do their parents' accents. Not Nigerian but my best friend is, love the culture
"MAGDONNA" Only people with African parents know I'm talking about
Ughh lol
Doesn't get any truer dude.
Looooollll Booga King
Lol yeah (:
*AFRICANS ARE SO DAM DARK, MUCH DARKER THAN BLACK PEOPLE LMAO*
I like how Jimmy leaned forward with immediate interest and intent to say "Oyelowo".
LOOOOL!!!!!
Reminds me of my dad. He's from Serra Leone and pronounces Mc Donald 's as Mag Donna.
I get him! Why trouble yourself with the whole thing?
Damn, love his accent. So smooth.
it's Nigerian/British accent very sexy.
Its a south-eastern English accent, which is where he grew up. Idris elba is another tho he's from east London, this guy sounds west London.
agreed. i can listen to this man speak for hours...
jiggar22 It's not a Nigerian-British accent, it's just a British accent.
jake frost it's not even a 'British accent' because there is really no such thing. Britain is made up of 4 countries so that wouldn't make sense. What he has is middle class English accent (he was born and raised in Oxford!) :)
that is TYPICAL of African parents lol
+simply.s haha similar to polynesian/pacific island parents too lol
Sis tell me about it lol. My dad is Tanzanian and my momma is Polynesian/Native Hawaiian.
I cant bring none of my friends round. We spend about 30 minutes just trying to get them to pronounce the right name.
This guy has that Naija dad accent on point
I love his facial expressions! He is truly the child of a Nigerian.
YASSSS Nigerians in da spotlight!!!! #ouraccentsareBOMB rofl
we have always being the positive spotlight but the international media love to report thenegative ones.
very true
Nigeria represent!
Nigerians reprasanting the hollyWood business.
Ps- I spelled representing the right way.
was the lady who won the Oscar last year Nigerian also, i dare to say her name, was it Lupongo?
David Thomas It's Lupita Nyong'o, and she's Kenyan.
Joel Rurisa ty, sorry, I knew i'd mess that name up...
no Africans tend go where the are celebrated not tolorated, Kenya is where her blood is and she have being living in Kenya all her life she only spend a few yrs in Mexico as an adult. so she is kenyan not mexican she says it all the time during interviews.
redcatbiker I thought you were joking but then I looked it up. Wow that is soo cool.
Since the leaf blower l want to meet this mans father.
Tj km Ehen! The leaves! 😂😂😂
😭😭😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
"Aha! Di leaves!"
Vroom! Vroom! Vroom! 🤣🤣
I found this clip whilst looking for the leaf blower clip, so I could send it to a friend who bought a leaf blower for her grandma!
I really do like Jimmy Fallon. Unlike most talk show hosts he seems very down to earth and relaxed for the most part. You can tell he still gets nervous when he has certain guests but that's what makes him even cooler to me. Used to like J. Kimmel but I don't know what's been going on with him. Doesn't seem as real anymore
Yup sounds like a Nigerian parent. My Mom called me once to talk about Solange's afro and she called her So-lan-gehy the whole time. I was mortified. At the end of the conversation i had to tell her she was mispronouncing the lady's name.
pls african parent are the best give your mom a break.
Oh i totally agree with you
I read that in a Yoruba accent 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very talented actor and funny too
I love Nigerian accents. I just think they sound beautiful!
I keep coming back to this video for the, "Don't try... Don't even go there. NO! 😒" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I just love David Oyelowo's interviews... I just know I'm either going to laugh or be impeccably inspired. Love from SA🇿🇦
This man got snubbed at the oscar nominations. Should have been nominated. Stupid that he wasn't. He deserved at least a nomination.
Nigerian saying Xbox 360= eggs bugs tree sisty
Hahaha!! XD
omg!! you are on point! lmao!
obiwashere Taxi - taggsi

It's funny cause a lot of us can relate to that, coming from a Hispanic family. My dad makes up his own vocabulary as well haha especially movie titles, mischief is "my chief" and miles from home is "mouse from home" lol love my pops.
i watched this with my parents (their Nigerian) and we were laughing so hard at this i needed cough medicine bcuz of dis
That's the ONLY way to laugh with family!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
thats such a Yoruba behaviour , I can relate.. lol especially the Opera Winifree
One of my favourite Black British Actors.
yeah I like him too
He's a British actor. Not a black births actor. I'm very aware he is black, but I really see a great actor, period. In Semla, wow! What a performance! Pitch perfect.
"Jimmy Fallingdown" "He never does fall down!"
#dramaticirony
lol
🤣🤣🤣😭😭
"Don't even go there!"
hahahha so great
Love this clip, do get David Oyelowo's dad on Jimmy Fallon please!
This guy David is super-adorable! He is PHENOMENAL in "Selma." Saw it earlier tonight and definitely made my Christmas Eve extra special. Wouldn't surprise me if he wins the Golden Globe, and with that gets an Oscar nod.
Way to go Dah-veed!
His dad is too.precious..❤😂
his dad sounds dope! i wanna meet him too haha
Opera Winifred! So true!
I love BG magazine... This is something my mom would do
Anyone that can speak two languages, I'll go easy on them for pronunciations.
I like the way his name sounds when he says it. It's lyrical.
EvilTreeFrogs Yep. Yoruba language is tonal. Do Re Mi tones in every single word
Yemi O Abeg every language is 😂
OMG his dad looks like a black George R.R.Martin
Omg yeah
I cant wait to see Selma! David is awesome!
When I was a kid I thought Oprah was her name and Show was her last name X'D
That man is so adorable
He's Nigerian accent is so good! Super cool 😎
that "don't try" spoke up for all the teachers who butchered my last name on the first day of school
SOO how is he NOT nominated for an Oscar?
Because the Oscars are so white
What a great guy
Oh gosh i love david oyelowo
So proud of you David...looking forward to seeing you in the movie "Americanah" kudos
he's awesome!
Everytime he talks about his dad...🤣🤣🤣
BG Magazine, dying! Once you get older parents become so adorable.
Another lady getting a lot of rave reviews is Uzo Aduba .. (orange is the new bkack) "She will alway mention Nigeria at any opportunity in an interview.....
Nigerians and Africa is doing it big in hollywood
jiggar22- yeh, I heard they make excellent waiters. oh hang on, that carribeans. :-)
issieman Of course she mentions it every chance she gets. We are a proud people :)

"Jimmy Falling-down" - JIMMY FALLING DOWN? #TheLifeOfAnAfrican
I Saw Selma on Christmas!!! I recommend everyone go see it. its really good
lol dat was funny im from nigeria
This is the new voice of Scar on The Lion Guard?
I hope he can make it sound more raspy.
Kallus!!!!
That was cute
It is very funny. Useless to invent words at their home to laugh. I adore the English actors. I do not know why this success and this fascination in US for the english actors (in fact I know, this is the same in France! :) I thank the American cinema of such showcase. I wait for the next English shock: John Simm.
the guy is Nigerian/British he lived in both countries before coming to U.S for his hollywood acting.
jiggar22 OK. Thank you for this precision
Idris elba an the guy who played mr eko in 'lost' are 2 other English actors African parents, an all their accents are southern-English.
I think it may be to do with British theatre many British actors get their grounding in this medium, I suppose it gives them an extra gravitas
He's cool
It's agent Kallus in star wars rebels holy crap!
very funny hahah jimmy fallingdown
Omg I'm Nigerian!! This I too relatable!!! who else?
This guy is hilarious
Gen-Sys Boss!! Koba killed him!

I'm a part of the Igbo culture.
Funny! Hahaha!
jimmy missed to joke" jimmy fallingdown" would be how David's call him
His dad is the black George R.R Martin
His dad looks like the guy who would say it that way hahaha
