Looks nice!. At 90 kilos weight intermediate, riding a Fanatic TE Skywing 5.4 95 LT. Considering this or the 2024 Duotone 5 1 SLS . How do they compare? Or the Armstrong 90 LT or 80 LT?

I would say it is closest in performance to the Armstrong Wing FG. The Slice v3 and new FG Wing are my favorite boards by far. Great boards in excellent construction. The Slice you can size down a bit in volume and the Wing Fg you want to size up a bit in volume. That being said a 90L FG feels quicker rail to rail and has overall higher performance than a 80L Slice v3. Generally speaking the Slice feels more stable on the water and the Wing FG feels more performance oriented on foil. Hope that helps.

Armstrong is lighter and more nimble. Comes off the water faster and isn’t as stable per volume on the water. Both great boards but a bit different feel.

@@REALmattnuzzo The Armstrong gets off the water faster?? I’m very surprised since the Appletree is narrower and longer. The weights are actually similar, with the Appletree being a bit lighter across sizes (e.g. the 80L Slice is 100g lighter). I painfully can’t decide between the two... Which one won your heart over, Matt?

Which one will work better in light winds 70, 80 or 90L? I am a good rider 85kg.

I would go 80L. The 90L will maybe get you off the water a touch sooner but it feels a lot bigger. These boards have great light wind performance so you can size down a bit.

I am currently riding a 118L North Seek. I weigh 90kg and want to size down with a new board. Curious about this and the Armstrong Wing FG also what size would be good to go for.

I would go down to the Armstrong or Slice 90L. The Armstrong will be lighter, more nimble, stiffer and come off the water faster. The slice will be more stable on the water and have a damper more controlled feel. Armstrong comes with a bag and has a more plush deck pad too. Both great boards and you can’t go wrong with either.
