- Mumbai Airport Close Call: Hundreds of passengers had an extremely close call at Mumbai airport yesterday after an IndiGo aircraft touched down on the same runway from which an Air India jet was taking off. In a swift response, aviation regular Directorate of Civil Aviation has launched a probe and derostered the Air Traffic Control official on duty.

Yes, 😂 in ATC Sim I always do this because when a plane takes off, its speed increases and when a plane lands, it slows down so it won't crash unless they're not too close. So Chill.
But this is dangerous in real life. No risk should be taken in real life because, it can be a question of people's lives. ❤

It's clear the landing pilot avoided touchdown until the previous aircraft was airborne, then lowered his craft the last thirty meters a little 'hastily'.. else, he would have pushed hard up and moved away on the side as recommended. 99/100! .. 1% for the critics!
The norm is that the aircraft taking off and cross the end of the strip before the aircraft landing can cross the beginning and proceed the to touch down.
Imagine waking up in your hotel room and you check the youtube and find out you were 5sec from getting killed by your colleague behind you. that's me in the cockpit of the plane taking off 😱😮

This is normal why so hyped my Indian media . The controllers and pilots are perfectly synced the operation. Such kind of operations i have seen at many airports in different parts of world.
