Hot line tools require specific care for your protection in order to keep them available for immediate use. Additionally, such care will result in extended tool life and consequently increased user safety and trust.
As a rule, hotline tools should be kept dry. They should never be placed directly on the ground and should be stored in a vehicle or tool cart until the time of use and then placed in the One Tool Rack (RM4660). Tools may only be placed on the ground if it is covered with a clean, dry tarpaulin (RT306-0014) to protect them from direct contact with dust or moisture.
