    This is the best video on movement out there. Thank you so much!

    Awesome video! This helps soooo much (especially the shortcut: "unless you start in townsquare or home, you are going to boot to move").

    Fantastic job! The colored arrows helped clear things up for me

    Awesome video man. As a Doomtown noobie I find these videos extremely helpful. Love this and the Netrunner content. Keep up the good work!

      Seth Dortch Glad I could help! I found the movement rules pretty difficult to master and thought this would be a good subject for new players.
      I plan on having some more Netrunner stuff next week. Thanks for watching!

    This was very helpful. I found out I had 4 rules completely wrong, which pretty much broke the game. Thank you!

      Charles Hoffman Haha! Don't feel bad. That's how it was for me until recently. The rules aren't hard; they're just precise and kinda fiddly.
      Thanks for watching!

    GREAT VIDEOS!! Movement is very much "chess like" and hard for new players to grasp. This video with its well done production value and great animations should help a lot of new players out.

      DocXGAMC Thanks! I had a lot of trouble mastering movement when I first started Doomtown, and I figured a video overview would've helped a lot. Glad to hear that you agree! Thanks for watching!

    Would you do a video about reading boardstate, like when to push an advantage and when to play defensively? Probably not a full game, but maybe some gameplay scenarios?

      Benjamin Weinstock I've been thinking about this topic. Something like the fundamentals of tactical play. I don't want to make any promises, but I'll certainly mull it over. There's a lot to chew on with that topic.
      I'm still working on coming out with some gameplay videos. This is largely contingent on when I can get together with my buddies and record + some other technical issues. Sit tight. I'm working on this right now :)
      Thanks for watching!

    Willingdone really great video just getting into the game. Loved the deck building video as well. i was wondering if you would maybe make a intro video to the game AEG is not the best at explaining all the game mechanics and instead of me trying to explain to all my friends i am trying to get into the game a video would go such a long way. just a request from a big fan of your netrunner and doomtown videos! thanks again and keep up the great work

      Hussam Elhindi Thanks for the kind words! I can't promise that I'll do a full tutorial on Doomtown as that would be a pretty big undertaking, but I've been thinking about doing videos on other aspects of the rules and basic strategy. I've had a "fundamentals of tactical play" video in the works for a long time but have had trouble honing in on exactly what I want to say. Whenever I figure out a concise way to explain an important aspect of Doomtown, I'll do my best to make a video about it. I have quite a few ideas in the pipeline. Thanks again for watching!

      I think basic rules of what you want to accomplish each turn would be wonderful idea as its very similar concept to explaining the rules in my opinion lol so many cant grasp the "how do I go about winning in this game" thanks again bud keep up the great work!

    So if I have a dude at my home base and I want to move to one of my opponents deeds, do I have the option to either A) Boot my dude and move immediately to the deed or B) Move my dude to town square unbooted 1st action then into their deed unbooted on the 2nd action? Just confused if you have to move into the town square from your base or if you can "boot to move anywhere" still.
    Thank you for the great explanation on movement. I might actually be able to teach some friends this game now without them falling asleep as I fail to explain movement lol.

    2 questions: can I move a dude from 1 of my in town deeds to another that aren't adjacent? 2nd: if I move my 0 influence dude to one of my opponents deeds and my dude is the only dude there, do I control the deed?

    • @Willingdone
      @Willingdone  9 років тому

      pdavis2272 1) When you move, you boot and go to any location on the board. So, yes.
      2) You and your opponent are tied at 0 influence, so your opponent still has control of the deed since the owner of a deed wins ties.

      Willingdone I can't move my dude from my deed to my opponents deeds though? Without are card effect anyway.

    • @Willingdone
      @Willingdone  9 років тому

      pdavis2272 Yes, you can. Since your opponent's deeds are "any location," you can boot to move there.

      Willingdone I should have clarified: I meant I can't move my dude from my deed to my opponents dude. Don't I have to go thru town square first?

    • @Willingdone
      @Willingdone  9 років тому

      pdavis2272 No. When you move, you boot and move to any location on the board.
