One of the best instructional videos Yeager has ever made. When I was a paramedic we were taught, in the driving course, to always leave enough space between us and the vehicle ahead while sitting at a stop, whether sign or light, so that we could see plenty of the roadway between our hood and the vehicle in front of us. We had to try to always set up in traffic so that if we got an emergency call on the radio that we could go responding into motion without having to wait for traffic to move.
I'm shocked how many people don't lock their doors these days. A few years ago some POS carjacked an old man and nearly beat him to death in my town. Then whilst fleeing the police he T-boned another car going 60+mph. He killed my best friends sister, but of course he lived. I don't blame the old man, but it's a lot harder to do an impromptu car jacking when the doors are locked and you're buckled in. Lesson learned the hard way, buckle up and lock your doors.
Many modern cars have a default setting that unlocks the doors and trunk automatically when the transmission is put into park. Go into vehicle settings and turn that off.
Taking Vehicle Tactics really opened my eyes to the reality of fighting in and around vehicles. I changed up my vehicle gear after seeing what worked and what was horrible.
Being a mechanic and also having EMS experience driving an ambulance in a city with rural areas, Ive learned that you must always know where you are, where all the other cars are, and drive as if they are all trying to hit you. Lights, signs, painted lines, and small curbs/medians are all suggestions meant to help the flow of traffic and your number one rule should be to not run over people, smash into cars, or destroy your own/yourself. Number 2 is never allow a situation where you won't be able to respond to an unknown variable such as a blind corner, or another unknown factor. Number 3 is maintain your vehicle and keep it up to manufacturer specs at a minimum and ensure your vehicle can actually do the things you are asking of it. Driving a vehicle like an ignorant fool is just as bad if not worse and definitely more common than handling a firearm recklessly. Rule 4 is remain calm and collected and respect other drivers and do not make yourself and your vehicle into a roadway obstruction. Get out of the fucking way, you're not a cop, if someone wants to speed past, get in the slow lane and let them go by. The roads are meant for travel, not for ethics demonstrations or vehicular socializing.
I'll continue smoking, thank you. I remember we went to the Mexican restaurant after class, and I was itching for a cig. James came out and thought I was shaking from the cold, and asked me, "You okay, brother?" I said, "Yeah, just need a cigarette!" He laughed and walked off, hands in his pockets.
Playing gta helps deprogram you from driving only in the lines and screwing yourself for whatever reason. I know it sounds weird but I've used those driving techniques to avoid accidents or idiots.
When I was a contractor in Iraq, they told us our truck ( 4 wheel drive 4 door GMC) was our best weapon, besides our security. I never had to use it as such but was always prepared, especially through checkpoints. Bad place to be when you dont have a gun. Awesome Video!!!
You are absolutely right about this subject.. Especially the part about firing a gun in a vehicle... It happened to me back in 1993... I was robbed while driving a taxi... I ended up shooting him.. Not only is it Deafening.. I had ringing in my ears and hearing loss for months... Great Video
For some reason, some people think not wearing a seat belt is better than wearing one. If you're ever in a wreck and not wearing your seatbelt and head butt your windshield, you'll wear your seatbelt. Promise.
You talk about driving so much that you get programmed. I totally agree. A good example of it is when you are watching a police chase video. The car they are chasing is speeding and doing everything they can to lose the cop, yet you will often see the fleeing driver use his turn signals. I have seen it a number of times, and you know the only reason they are doing it is because they have done it so often it is simply programmed in them.
U blow off a round in the car with some of the windows up and it will ring your bell 🛎 big time...Hell I’ve only shot my pistol from the car ,a rifle might make your ears 👂 bleed....👍🏼👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼 good shit James
My Ford Festiva is made of thick tin foil and it gets blown around by the wind on the highway. That thing wont protect you from bugs let alone bullets.
@@TacticalResponseCrew I know, that was my point. Listen, I'm not trying to be a troll. Your original channel was the first channel I subscribed to after the video you made highlighting how the Bureau of Land Management is really a terrorist organization. (Bundy standoff) Anyhow, keep up the good work and I hope to train with y'all soon.
RIP!! Your responsibility to be ready for the fight never ends!

"These are very violent people" Not as violent as me. I'll give them PTSD if they live

Nobody I knew who was ejected from a car survived.
It sounds like it's very dangerous to know you.
@jacob Estes LOL
James has kept his New Year's resolution to be sure.
Old video...still pushing though!

If you live through the mistake.

I always wear my seatbelt, and you should too. That said, my brother in law was ejected from a school bus and lived. Everyone inside the bus died.
Sometimes someone is looking out for us
Vehicle tactics is a great class!

Wearing seat belts is a good idea yes. 100% agree. The biggest criticism for seat belt use always comes from people that ride motorcycles.
I ride motorcycles.

Stop smoking! And stop drinking energy drinks, they are horrible for you.
I have never smoked in my life and I will continue drinking WHATEVER THE FUCK I CHOOSE.
I'm a taxi and I'm right handed. Maybe I need to learn my left.
I don't like your shirt. I love it.
Great information. Thank you.
You are welcome my friend.
