once i heard the "best friend" part, the first flowey song (was it "your best friend" or what i dont remember) started playing in my head

if i had a nickel for every game ive been obsessed with in which the protagonist is trapped underground and antagonized by a character who turns out to be another character who was once in a powerful position in this underground before they died and then were placed into a new vessel after their closest companion died by poisoning themselves, are mounted to a surface in their new form, who, when in battle, have separate “parts” of them that affect the battle as you progress in the fight, each representing some aspect of a human or a personality, all of which you must destroy to kill them, id have two nickels, which isnt a lot but its weird that it happened twice.
Edit: so I made a reply to this with more similarities but it just doesn’t show up for anyone so I just added to the original.

The BIGGEST coincidence ever
well this kinda blew up so here’s a few more similarities:
-both are (usually) mounted to a surface
-in battle, the only way to beat either of them is by feeling the effects of and, in portal’s case, destroying, the objects attached to the antagonist, each one representing a separate virtue or personality.
-obligatory fall down a deep pit into a trash filled area caused by the active antagonist at the time(undyne/Wheatley)

It's funny how much "You dangerous. Mute. Lunatic." Fits for Chell and for Frisk. For Chell it's because no matter what tests or turrets GLaDOS throws at her, she keeps coming out unscathed and eventually kills her through sheer FORCE OF WILL. For Frisk, they fell into the Underground and turned it into their own personal playground with each of the characters functioning as her toys through sheer DETERMINATION. Except one took on a sentient and sociopathic ai and the other took on a god

GLaDOS as Flowey has been an idea circling in my head for a long time with this exact seen. Thank you for bringing it to life for me.
I think the best part about this for me is that flowey doesn't see frisk as frisk, he sees frisk as chara.
So this sorta interaction would mean that flowey just had enough of em since asriel was no longer there to like chara and decided to abandon their entire relationship together because chara stopped him from playing, put him in a flower, and fed him to birds (what?)
Genuinely cool how well this lines up.
I like to think it was Frisk that fed him to birds

Undertale is timeline in its meta humor but so is Portal, and the subversion of the feel-good happy ending is a one-up Portal has on Undertale that honestly works perfectly for Flowey. xD

This feels like it could be an alternative ending for the pacifist route & is extremely fitting for Flowey's character. I dig it.
This kinda reminds me of how papyrus and sans are like p-body and atlas. They both solve puzzles.

oh this is delicious, oh this is so yuumy. i love how you had flowey move in such deliberate but subtle ways to express just the level of DISPLEASURE frisk brings him. really sells the voice lines too

@@DeterminedBlade Oh on a video? There’s an easy fix for that. Go to the video settings and select “Not For Kids”. If the video thinks it’s “For Kids” then the comment section is disabled. I’ve had to deal with it before since UA-cam keeps on putting my videos on the “For Kids” setting just for being an animation. Usually videos are only supposed to be “For Kids” on nursery rhymes and such. Idk I haven’t researched it much but I do know it disables the comment section.

I thought the contrast between glados's robotic voice versus flowey being the furthest thing from a robot would be jarring but gddamn this Works so well. Kudos!

As someone who knows zero of the Portal/Half-Life story, but has been playing Want You Gone a lot this month

I love how all of GLaDOS’s lines here fit so well with Flowey’s situation in Undertale’s story, especially when Flowey is the one referring to Frisk/Chara as a “deaf, mute, lunatic.”

God imagine if after all of the events of the true ending with saving Asriel and learning his past; The moment he becomes Flowey again he just purges every remaining shred of Asriel from himself in the blink of an eye.
I would've liked to see Flowey picking up Frisk and slowly elevating them.
A weird combination, but it works.

I really enjoy your art style here! Flowey's expression's, the way he moves, and the way you draw Frisk is awesome! I also enjoy the choice of audio, though I haven't played Portal yet. I've even watched this multiple time! Thank you for making this and posting it, I really enjoyed!

Chell - Was not recommended as a test subject because she doesn’t give up.
Frisk - Literally has a soul filled with determination.
Wheatley - A clumsy, comedic personality core with a blue eye.
Sans - A short, lazy skeleton comedian who wears a blue jacket (and also has an eye glowing yellow and blue).
GLaDOS - Was originally Caroline before being forced into a new form.
Flowey - Was originally Asriel before being forced into a new form.
Caroline - Is a voice of reason inside GLaDOS’ head.
Chara - Is a voice of narration inside Frisk’s head.
