Hey finding this video now? would you still recommend the ford explorer ST? I truly have love having my 14 and 07 explorers and want to upgrade but this video concerns me a little
May have missed what year that tremor is but there is a service bulletin for stutter at highway speeds accelerating or climbing in gears 8, 9, and 10 on the ecoboosts. It involves reprogramming a couple modules to adjust fueling parameters in high gear high boost situations
I had a 21 Lincoln Corsair that had so many issues, the 360 camera has had multiple recalls on it for not working, it had rattles like there was a can of marbles in the back, the drivers seat was loose in its track they couldn’t fix, and on and on. Never again, Ford, never again.
I work at a local service station and I see quite a few of them new explorers have one or both of the front cv axle boots tore and pushing all the grease out. I would definitely check Ford will replace them for free.
What grade fuel does your owners manual say to use? Turbos increase pressure thereby you could be having preignition using lower octane fuel. Also buying sketchy no name fuel is risky. Penny wise, pound foolish.
@@MGMidget73 but also realize when the dealership puts fuel in EVERY SINGLE CAR that they use 87 for test drives… so unless it’s an ordered vehicle you’re already screwed…
Thanks for sharing! Got the same thing going, bought f150 lightning for 82k got 26k miles on.. went to every ford dealership to sell it or trade it in they only offer me 48k for it. Eventually probably sell or give to my dad. Going back to old trucks, simple.. easy maintenance and reliable.
@@TheBoostedFam i understand that but most people who buy trucks don’t use it for what it’s made for. People just buy them to inflate their ego bigger than it already is…
@andrewjones4774 I can’t say you wrong… lol newer stats came out early this year saying like 48% of truck owners don’t use them and could’ve had a car… probably changed by now, but it was something like that
Not blaming them for me using 87. I was trying to say they’ve been on 87 for almost 2 years without any issues so I don’t think it’s that, it could be just don’t think so…

100% I would still buy it again! It’s had a few issues but everything’s been fixed for free and maintenance has been cheap/simple

Good to hear! They’re both 22’s but they are supposed to go in for recalls soon so I’ll bring that up!
Yall know the 4runner the solution to this mans fix or repair daily good video though

I’m legally on the verge of going all old school with classics and restoring them…
Meant legitimately

Always shell but I originally put 87 in them knowing my wife would fill up with “whatever is cheapest” and mess them up worse going from 93 to 87
@@TheBoostedFam if the manual says premium I would not vary. Preignition can destroy your engine. Shell is good.

Looking forward to some more content! Been here since day 1!
Thank you!!!

Same thinking here!
Why even get trucks? Waste of money. Sedans r better. More reliable and way better gas mileage.
@andrewjones4774 I use my truck for hauling and working around our land doing things a SUV can’t do…

Agreed with everything except the low octane fuel, you cannot fault them for having an engine run bad on 87 when it’s not rated for it

Domestic vehicles are crap....PERIOD!!
Dorf is your last name?
That’s a new one being much taller than the national average for a male… lol
Too much talking about nothing
Fords r trash
ZERO pity for someone who spent(sorry financed) $130k in FORDS🤣
Wasn’t asking for pity just stating issues and happy to know a keyboard warrior thinks they know my money situation 😂🤣
