I could do that! It would have to be from an amateur perspective because I do not know what I am doing! I'll need to find where I put the rest of them...
@@cerealnana I was thinking "Well, at least it was just an Arrtx....lol". I would have died if it were the rosemary & Co or the Escodas. Nothing like giving your audience an occasional EEK ! 🤣
Thank you for this overview - I just got a Sendak roll myself, so I've been looking for inspiration for how to fill it. So looking forward to putting it all together!
I love what you‘re doing! It’s great. Don’t be hard on yourself, perfectionism sucks! I think you just inspired me to pick up sketching again. I‘m really, really out of practice. I saw a video the other day where someone challenged themself to a „sketch a day“ for one year and she‘s been doing it for 4 years now. Thanks for the video and the inspiration!
I have that video in my queue! The big problem I'm having is that I'm such a zombie at the end of the work day! I'm going to try to do it at lunch. Bonus will be that I'll actually have to stop and take lunch!
Yay for librarians! I am not a real one, I run a library delivery service for the housebound, but I've been amassing a pretty impressive library of our own out of withdrawn stock! Maybe I can count that...
Well done on getting yourself out there. The only bad art is no art, but I'll bet you are more than a little critical of yourself on that account. Love that Sendak. It's been on my wishlist since I first saw Natasha Newton pull hers out. Maybe if I am extra good and can stick to my no buy (I am an art supply addict), Santa might bring me one for Christmas..lol
If you are in the States they have black Friday sales and you also get a coupon if you sign up for their newsletter. Only way I was able to justify it!
I, too, fell in love with that Peg and Awl Sendak art roll. Even if it wasn’t terrific on it’s own, what artist could resist something called a Sendak? After pining for it for years, I finally pulled the trigger and bought it. I also bought a pouch in the same color AND had my initials put on both. Once I started I couldn’t seem to stop. I got the same color you have. I love your little kit. So handy. New subscriber!
So fun to see what people come up with. I am just wondering why you keep putting your self down? If you enjoy sketching just go do it, no need to say you are not a “good artist”… women need to be confident not always hammering themselves esp if you are clearly going out and sketching. That is GREAT!!!
Thank you so much! I think I just have a little bit of a hang-up about how things aren't yet turning out like I want them to. No way to fix it but practice! I was trying to stress my newbie-ness as well so that people didn't think this was coming from a professional artist perspective. Many of the sketch kit videos are from pros, from what I've seen.
Thank you! The tiny pans are from Art Toolkit in the States at this link arttoolkit.com/#pans. There is a seller in Europe as well at this link. www.artemiranda.com/art_toolkit_263
Love your bag video. I too have the Sendak Artist Roll in brown n I love it. I was trying to find the multi mechanical pencil that held the different leads n eraser. (I think it had 5 slots) Was it call Pilot Hi Tech C? I’m in the US n couldn’t find it anywhere. Please advise where I can purchase one n the different leads/eraser supplies.
Love this! I haven’t unwrapped my peg & awl roll yet but I’m wondering if I should for my trip tomorrow. Goood idea to use a Swedish paper towel - does paint come off?
Well, that is tricky. You can't buy them anywhere here that I know of. I do have a spare set(and one other I'm saving for a giveaway when I hit 500). If you want to buy it I will charge you what I paid in the US and shipping. Find me at cerealnana_arts on Instagram if you are interested. I made another video all about the pencil with US links so you can check the prices.

Amazon UK, but I'm sure similar is on Amazon everywhere. The hardback one is L'oeil Hardback Watercolor Sketchbook: 9x14cm, and the other is Stillman and Birn Zeta.
Links for super pencils are in the description of the video I posted today. The tiny spray bottles were from Daiso, but I've seen them listed on amazon as mini mister or tiny mister bottles.

Have no fear; no one is a great artist. We are all on a journey of improvement, and we are all on different spots on that highway. The important thing is that we keep going regardless of when we started the journey. If I may, it's also important you don't go spending money on the things you see advertised by youtubers. That $175.00 sendak roll is NOT going to improve your skills. Nor will any of that other crap. All you need to improve is a pencil, a notebook and willingness to try.
