32 Battalion demobilization [1993]

32 Battalion (sometimes nicknamed Buffalo Battalion or Portuguese: Os Terríveis for The Terrible Ones) was a light infantry battalion of the South African Army founded in 1975, composed of black and white commissioned and enlisted personnel. It was disbanded on 26 March 1993.

I had the privilege of serving with 32, after Savanah, and have only good memories of my time with the battalion. Col. Jan Breytenbach was one of the finest leaders, if not the finest, I ever served under! 32 will always live on in the memories of those who served!
