    He failed to mention how long it lasts. Is it a one time thing then washes away? Can it be used on a beard/mustache that is about a half inch long?

    • @voltlifeproofgrooming5208
      @voltlifeproofgrooming5208  10 місяців тому +1

      It is a one time color but will last up to 48 hours before it should be reapplied. It will be strongly water and moisture-resistant, but can be removed with some light scrubbing and shampoo or beard/face wash. There are close to 30 applications in a single vial for a beard/mustache of your length. Depending on if you do full color or use it only on certain areas.

    Thanks for the video. I will be following this video tomorrow. I have an interview the day after. Under normal circumstances, Im fine with my natural color which is quite gray for my age. The difference with interviews is that theres a bias towards age. Conscious or subconscious. Gotta play the numbers. Thanks, again.

      In a perfect world there would be no bias but unfortunately that does seem to exist. Super glad we were able to help out though and best of luck!

      Of course! we make our own Volt Prep & Clean solution to help clean and re-hydrate your skin before and after applying the beard color. It helps you prep the beard for the color as well as remove unwanted color.

    I heard in the comments that this doesn't even last after the application I mean what's the use of even presenting this product if it doesn't even last after the application it's a useless product at least two weeks will give you a reason to even put this on UA-cam

    • @voltlifeproofgrooming5208

      Hi Tim, our beard color was designed to be temporary. There are many benefits to temporary beard color as opposed to beard dyes, which is what I believe you're referring to as the "two week" product. Temporary beard colors don't require the PPD, ammonia, and hydrogen peroxide that dyes require to open the protein layers in hair follicles in order to stain them. This means a much more skin-safe and hypoallergenic product. Because of the difference in the application process (brush vs dye-paste) our color can also be applied more quickly, and blended more naturally. It doesn't last up to two weeks like dyes do, but with proper shaking of the vial (as per instructions) to blend the ingredients and after applying the color to your beard, it should remain as a water/sweat resistant color for up to 2 days depending on what your level of activity is (and how often you touch your beard, etc.) Not to mention each vial of Volt contains about 30 applications for medium length beards (.5 - 1 inch long), which is potentially 60 days of color. Much better than the 2-weeks of a single pack of beard dye.

    I have been using the product for some time pretty happy overall. I just wish it would last a little longer after application... Much easier on your skin though no doubt about that as far as allergic reactions..

      @voltlifeproofgrooming5208  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Bart, thanks for commenting! We designed Volt to be perfect for men who have adverse reactions with common beard dyes, because that's no fun for anyone. We also wanted a beard color that can be changed, customized, or even removed in case you weren't happy with the application so you aren't stuck with a beard you don't like, especially if it was dyed! Overall, our beard color will come off sooner than dyes, that being said we've got a product called Volt Lock that acts as a sealer for the color so it will last longer. If you like the color and ability to customize it but want it to last a bit longer, I'd recommend giving that a shot! Otherwise, some other tricks are to try and avoid rubbing, scrubbing, or anything that might abrasively rub off the color too much. Best of luck man and thanks for watching!

    • @bartseller8601
      @bartseller8601 2 роки тому +3

      I'll have to try the LOCK that you mentioned.. another thing though that is tough about this is the minimal amount that you get in the little vial there. This is great if you've got short beards because it doesn't take much for the coverage but if you've got anything that's fairly long or of average length you go through this bottle and nothing flat and that's where the price adds up. I would have an optional size here instead of the small vial that comes with the little brush, something larger and capacity that's geared towards guys that have longer beards essentially...

    This is Johnny Pappas but it'll show coming from Rona as I don't have a google account. Jaro, I want to thank you for having this product as I was extremely distraught when about 8 years ago I had to stop using Just For Men dye on my beard as it caused a reaction after 20 years of using it sending me to the emergency room as my face was rubbery and went into a spasm. As a result of that scary close call, I shaved my beard part on the sides leaving a mustache and goatee which I used my wife's mascara to color. It wasn't ideal but the only solution but it washed off in the shower and it was also embarassing when I ate having it rub off in the napkin when I wiped my face! Seven months ago, I found Volt and Wow...for the first time in 8 years, I now have a beard again. My wife loves it and it doesn't come off in the shower or when I wipe my face or being outside on a hot, humid day. I did learn something in your Steamboat Springs video and that is I was afraid to comb out some of the small chunks left behind after applying it for fear it would remove the color. I comb my beard before coloring but didnt know you can safely brush it afterwards. Thanks for the advice. I'll have to buy one of the volt brushes. Again, my beard looks the best even better than when I dyed it for 20 years as it looked too black and fake looking. The Ebony/dark brown is perfect and so natural looking and I find I only have to re-apply the whole beard from scratch about every three days of so with touch-ups inbetween. You have re-invented beard dye from friend...and for that I'll always be grateful...kudos to you!!!

      Hey Johnny, Austin here (I manage the UA-cam) Thanks for the kind words, my friend! We're glad we're able to help. We definitely recognize that dyes can be a problem, especially with reactions and the fact that dyes aren't approved for skin use (Only hair) and can cause some serious issues, but we love hearing stories like yours because it gives meaning to what we do. Our goal is to help men look and feel awesome in the most sustainable and eco-friendly way possible and any testament to that is reassuring and inspiring to us!

    i kind of wish this had a stain or something.. not so much a dye .. but some type of stain that way it's not just mascara for the beard.. But I still want to check the product out.

      The brush itself does give off that mascara vibe but the product is actually formulated very differently from mascara. We designed the product to be more water and sweat resistant, whilst also being removable at will so anyone unhappy with the application or accidentally brushing it on somewhere they don't want the color can remove it or get a custom look (like salt and pepper). unfortunately the trade-off to the customizability is a lack of longevity, but one single vial should still last you about 30 applications with a short-medium length beard! Thanks for watching!

      No it shouldn't! Volt isn't like typical 1-day beard colors which are silicon-based (more like mascara). Volt, instead, is alcohol based which dries almost immediately and is very transfer and water-resistant, much more so than silicon-based products.

      Unfortunately I'm not sure of any related products, although there is a similar product to Volt that does come in a white/silver shade. Volt has a sister company called EBA performance Makeup. Check out their hair and beard colors and you should find some more shades!

    Does it wash off in the shower?

      A red-ish beard is actually very common especially with people who have Celtic ancestry. Austin here at Volt has one similar to that! And yes, Volt beard color will wash off in the shower when you start scrubbing at it, but during normal everyday tasks like drinking, sweating, etc. it's very water-resistant.

    At 44 I assume I'll start getting gray hair soon so I check this out as while my beard is long in the center, I like to keep my sides shorter and kempt. I thought this stuff looked decent but it seems as it's a daily thing that just doesn't work in a lot of situation. So It seems cheaper and more practical to just use hair dye and a mascara brush. Then I realized all this stuff is IS mascara. You're selling mascara with a couple different ingredients and marketing it to men. I didn't need to look up the price as I just assume a racket like this goes for about $30 as I've seen these products before. Anyways, Colorado springs looks nice.

    • @voltlifeproofgrooming5208
      @voltlifeproofgrooming5208  Рік тому +1

      Hi Charlie, I think you greatly misunderstand the situation and what goes into our product. Let me explain: Firstly, yes this is a daily color, brush on color can't be permanent unless you forgo the benefits of customizability and the ability to control the opacity of the color to give you whatever style you want (salt and pepper, full color, etc.) Secondly, there is practically no ingredients Volt shares with traditional mascara other than pigment (colors). You're saying it's mascara simply because it's applied with a similar brush, but the formulation is completely different. Mascara is typically silicon-based. Which runs under moisture, takes a long time to set or dry, and remains tacky and sticky for long periods of time. Volt is alcohol-based, which is why it dries nearly instantly, and is much more water and sweat resistant for active men out there. Also, only the full Volt kit is even close to $30, and includes plenty of extras that you don't get with mascara. The volt single pack starts around $17, and can last for up to a month and a half of daily applications, longer than even a beard dye can look natural before the roots start to show. I'd suggest you do your research before making baseless accusations.
