A couple years ago, I moved out of the city, and into the countryside. This was around autumn, and it was the first time I heard bull elk bugles. After that I had a very vivid dream about a pregnant elk. She was walking around my new home, and I floated alongside her without a physical form. As she went into labor, all three of us were united. Since the beginning of starting this journey admittedly feeling confused in my head yet happier and I feel more drawn to it. I thought I had a dream but I'm not sure
I come from a Christian household but never could really fall into that belief system. My parents and grandparents won’t accept any other beliefs but paganism really calls to me
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been drawn towards Norse Paganism. My family is all Christian’s but I’ve never felt any connection down that path. My only kind of concern I guess about getting into Norse Paganism is the fact that I’m Hispanic so I don’t know if I will be accepted into the community.
I'm lucky enough to live in the old Danelaw, near a hill that was once called Odinsberg, feel like I fell off the Norse Pagan path for awhile, I used to carve the runes etc, but in recent years I've barely carved a thing. Lately feel like Odin has been calling me back. Thanks for your videos, they're like a doorway back into that way of thinking.
To understand my (and my ancestors') worldview I often went to the ancient Vedic sources (not the later Hindu elements, since they're mainly Dravidian add-ons). Considering they are at least 5-6000 years old and of (Proto)Indo-European origin they say A LOT about where the Germanics/Norse came from philosophically and existentially. In fact, the word the word Veda itself is the same as Swedish 'veta' - to know. (Wissen in German, and even related to words like vitki, witch and wicca.)
I have just meditated and I could feel Odin. My eyes went white and I felt like I could feel his presence in my life. I asked him if he could welcome me and I felt in my body like he and all the other gods welcomed me, that is when I got goosebumps and I felt reborn. This is crazy I have been a Christian my entire life but I now feel welcomed and I have no Idea why I feel like I found home in my heart.
thank you so much for making this video. i've had pretty much the same experience as you with the meditation, but with different goddesses approaching me. the way you speak about your journey feels very familiar to me and it makes me feel like i'm not alone in my practices, since i'm lacking norse pagan people around me.
I had this pull towards the pagan faith for a couple of months your words enabled me to understand the significance of the pull and how to begin my journey
I hiked tothe top of my local mountain, and called out to Odin and thor nd left an offering for Freya. Shortly after i came across a perfect spider web in the shape of the Wyn rune. But you said Odin told you to keep making videos? well then im here and eager to listen...
I was contacted by Odin this year and Loki too I am a universalist(a believer in all beliefs) I have no idea what to do I call on the universe for help and now I'm not sure what to do with aligning recently with Norse paganism I believe in freedom of the people and gods so can I just be a person that let's them talk to me whenever ( I am a medium as well so I get connected with the dead and the gods) I don't meditate because I can get into a dark place but I find myself being saved by the Norse gods.
Im actually here because i cant get this outta my head i had a dream about 3 years ago of some gods telling me to accept my fate and that in should follow them but before going someone in the middle told me to accept but screamed it in a deep voice then i heard about this and it clicked… when i woke up from the dream it was like a rush i was sweating so bad that i was drenched and it being 68 in my room this is my calling i will follow Odin Thor and Frey🙏🏻
I feel the same. Around a month ago I was laying in bed watching that show Ragnorak on Netflix and in the first episode they started telling the story about the gods and giants. I had a rush of euphoria and my heart started racing. I’ve never felt anything like it. That’s when I knew I needed to follow the path.
Im not gonna lie, I knew little to nothing until the marvel movies, then I started looking into it more and watching some of the other shows (I e Vikings) and using that to look into more and more of how it works. Played the game god of war which was really what got me into researching the gods and the old ways, and oddly the more I look into it and research it, the more I feel like this is natural to me. I don’t know how to delve more into it without being a “poser” but I would like the privilege of attempting to follow the faith.
I went backwards. I'm learning the basics of runes and now trying to learn the sagas and such. I haven't done anything with the runes, just trying to learn. It's been a slow moving learning process but I like Norse Paganism so far
I have always been interested in Vikings and the norse religion but it wasn't until one of my best friends told me more about the religion and the community about it so I searched it up and then I found out that this is the path I want to make. thank you
I'm not sure if this is the path for me, I have been a pagan witch for 25 years and recently I feel as though there is something else meant for me, spirituality speaking. Idk if it was a sign or I'm just weird but the first time I found Norse music I got emotional. Am I just overly emotional or is it telling me to move forward?
It could be either or. I just know I was a Christian for 20 some years and I found this path and I have seen more guidance from our gods than anything ever! I hope you can get some guidance from the gods as well!
The first piece of advice I ever got was this is a “learning religion”. You’ll learn to separate the BS from legit info as you go. Research, read , listen, look around ……. It’s there and has been there all along.
Well done brother keep up the great work Odin and Thor and the gods will be proud of you brother I am really proud to be a Norse pagan I hope to see you in the great hall one day brother
This is the true religion and this is the true path well done brother the gods will be very proud of you brother skal all hail Odin and all hail lord Thor you have my respect brother I am a very proud Norse pagan from Dublin Ireland and my whole bloodline were Danish vikings
Thank you for this it was a very insightful video and it helps a lot since I’ve gotten interested in Norse paganism and have been being pulled towards it and after I finished the video I looked up to just think and I look at the moon realizing that it’s red or orange and I found that amazing and interesting all at the same time
really wanna connect with my Norsk history n religion seems to be a good way to help me find myself through religion. especially with a rough Christian upbringing. Thank you for this video mate
I am not a norse pagan (nor am I a pagan in general) but as a Norwegian, I feel drawn to it. I do believe in the gods'(and any god that exists) but I do not worship them.
I’ve always knew about Norse mythology, and I don’t know how to explain how I’ve just been drawn to it. My family is Christian so I’ve just tried to get into Christianity but I’ve always been “taken” back to Norse paganism. I just don’t know where to start. I feel like I’m going in circles not gonna lie
I'm thinking about starting this I recently saw a raven the other day and I was close to it and it never flew away I think this was my sign to become a norse pegan
Hi, i have a question. Can you mix the religion of norse paganism and some other kind of paganism and still gods help you? I want to mix iranian paganism and norse paganism, do you think that works?
Hi, I just wanted to say thankyou so much for this video it has helped me so much. I am at the very beginning of this journey and I have been getting quite confused on where to start and what to do. I have been reading about paganism as a whole but it's norse paganism that strikes something within me. I'm on a personal sobriety journey and work a 12 step program and have struggled with the higher power being a Christian God and I know that path is not for me, are you able to suggest anything to read to help me research? And thank you again for this, I found you by chance and I'm happy I did 😊 be blessed x
Why do i get different dreams that i never had ...and a feeling which is totally different whenever i go to mountains ... sometimes in the air i feel different... And the birds chirping around me ... I'm looking for this everywhere whats happening around me
Research can be difficult when you can't afford books lol. I rely on the internet. Got any good websites? Also I have been having dreams about cats and freya. I have been giving offerings and made a small altar
There are some good websites and blogs out there but when looking them up one must decipher it themselves. There are also some good books online for free to read. We have some in our discord via Dropbox
Earlier this afternoon I saw a flock of ravens or crows flying above me and I kept seeing this face I thought was Odin and then I saw the face in the top left corner of my left eye again and I was sure it was Odin. Was that a sign to convert from becoming a catholic to be coming a norse pagan? PS: I have not yet made conformation.
Can we truly meditate and speak to the gods? Like I mean... I've heard a lot of people say that if you have questions or weren't guided right to it that Odin doesn't want you and it isn't meant for you. I've always wanted to become a Norse Paganism but I'm not sure if I'm worthy of being accepted. I have a lot of flaws and often times find myself unable to feel hope. How do I know that I can be accepted? Can I truly call to them and seek answers if I'm still so fresh to everything? Who do I call too or how do I know who it is I'm speaking with? I'm sorry if my questions are.... Well garbage. I've been trying to research and study but it gets hard to tell if what I'm reading is correct. I live in the middle of Kentucky, a lot of christians but I've never been fortunate enough to meet a Norse Pagan.
@@mynorsepaganjourney2452 I tried meditating earlier and I feel as if I received two signs but I'm still not fully sure what the meaning was. When I first came out there were a large bundle of slightly darkened clouds moving fast. After meditating for maybe 10-15 minutes and simply relaxing in the wind I noticed that it was getting brighter out and when I looked in a patch of blue sky in the cloud there was a raven, at first I wasn't sure as when it caught my eye it almost looked like a symbol or the head of a bat. But then as I saw the tail feathers I registered what it was. But then as the clouds moved I took notice of 3 layered clouds that looked like wolves. One was just a head,it's jaws only slightly opened as it stared ahead like the other two. The second one in middle looked furious, it's mouth was open in a snarl and it looked as if it was a dragons head. The third and highest one was a bit ahead of the others, but it didn't wear an expression only ran ahead. From what I've read and heard the raven would be a sign of Oden correct? But I don't understand the second one I saw.
My first is that I've been guided for months, the God who has been im not sure who. However, it may be Baldr, as I've felt pain when trying to contact them. A headache, then I typed norse God of pain. Baldr showed up! I read about him then went to bed and Dreamt of Odin, Thor, Baldr. I woke up then saw WoO Video about Baldr released right when I woke up! I feel like Baldr was the first god to speak to me!
Is there any way I can contact the gods for any sort of sign? I know they probably will not answer if they are there but I need a sign that is why I am kind of separating from Christianity is because I have never had a sign any suggestions?
Loved the video and the and the story of the crows. I have a thing with crows that im trying to understand. so I have two that live in a house adjacent to me and last year they sat in top of my guttering throwing moss at my ex's head whist he worked in the garden (now he's my ex, so i guess it answered that one). Theres also a murder of crows that fly over my house every day they land on the neighbours roof tops but not mine. i have a video of this. I'm always get signs from nature but am only starting to understand and when i meditate, its like i've taken drugs but i don't. I should write down all the things that happen to me, im not sure people would believe it.
Interested in this religion last week and i very search on UA-cam and google for a week and now im watching you video Im not Norwegian and even europen But i want to be a norse pagan What should i do first Its just about believe or its have a official way
It’s totally up to you. That’s the beauty. What you believe is up to you. I believe what the literature and the eddas tell us. But again it’s all Up for interpretation.
Hi. I’m new to your page and I have always been interested in Norse paganism. I just have a few questions so if you can spare me the time I would appreciate it
All my life I've never felt a spiritual connection to anything, but as i grow older (im 24) i feel there is something there, what that is, i dont know yet. I live in Australia, far from any place of cultural significance to the norse/danish gods. Will they hear my call from a land so far?
I can relate to the Christian aspect. I was raised Catholic but it never spoke to me. I tried going back to church a few years ago but it still didn’t appeal me. I’m interested in Norse paganism. What are some good resources to start researching and are there any to avoid?
You have to take the internet for a grain of salt. You will find good sources there but also bad ones. I have a video here discussing some books that are good for beginners. That may help.
I feel as if norse Peganism has been getting drawn to me for some time now, and I'm just now starting to get into it. And I find it ever so fascinating! Yet for some reason I'm worried I won't be accepted by the gods/goddesses even though I feel slightly drawn go them- any advice for rejection anxiety? 😅😂
I wonder about what Norse practice think of past lifes? I remember my past life death, and had ginger hair, who had a blonde baby boy. I don't talk about it often, but I always wanted to be closer to me/her and I always thought she was Celtic, but I feel Norse Paganism pulling closer? I've also had a Norse man (Odin?), in my dream, sit with me and he only looked upon me, I couldn't see his eyes, but he was muuch taller than myself.
The Germanic people very much believed in reincarnation, so it could be your ancestor who you saw. Also, Celtic and Germanic people are ultimately the same people, with Celtic culture just being a branch of the tree.
Oh also! Genuine question as well, so I feel a pull to 2 different pegan groups, which is Norse, and Greek, is it rude or offensive in anyway if you mix worshipping between the 2?
I was wondering seen as how you're a Norse Pagan, do you believe that notable events such as Ragnarok has happened or that we're still waiting for it to happen, or even if you believe those events to be true.
Ive just never felt connected to the christian belief, ive gone to church as a kid and stopped going because it just wasnt for me, as i got older i didnt really connect with anything, i tried dmt couple years back and during my trip i seen a hooded man who disappear as birds flew past after he has gone i was seeing some runes and since then been trying to look more into and try connect myself more but still struggling a little.
@@mynorsepaganjourney2452 i like to believe so too! Since then its like im on the right path on my journey which is something i never felt when i tried going to church. May the gods be on your side and help you with your journey.
I had a dream where I was standing on a tall platform and I was surrounded by wolves. I started howling and the wolves began to howling with me... it was a strange experience yet amazing at the same time. Very glad to have found a path that resonates with me. This path was a long time coming for me, I'm glad I found this video now, had I found this sooner I'd have blown passed it.
Hi Anthony. I have commented on your videos in the past and found your advice to be very helpful and informative, so I wanted to get your opinion on something. I have heard from some other videos and norse pagans that if you are embarking on this journey, you should not watch shows like Vikings or play games like AC Valhalla. What is your opinion on this. I know media like the above don't accurately depict the religion but still enjoy them nonetheless
If you enjoy them then continue to enjoy them. There’s nothing wrong with it. Just take a lot of the things you see in them with a grain of salt and remember that these shows and games are to make money and not 100% authentic or historically accurate. Now I’m not saying that they aren’t accurate at all but they are not 100% accurate. I hope that helps man.
@@mynorsepaganjourney2452 yeah that helps a lot. And that’s kind of how I go into these things. I treat them more as Norse fiction. Also another quick thing. Last night I had a dream where I was in a car. I then saw a crow perched on the hood. It stayed for a moment then it flew away. A bolt of lightning followed it. It was very vivid and stuck with me even after I woke. Could this be a sign from the gods?
Is there like something u have to do before you can say that you're a norse pagan? And also do the gods have rules for us that we can't be something or we can't do specific things like for example with cristianity there's many rules and sins does norse paganism have sins?
I wanna go out like everyone says I really do, when I get all ready to go an im about to head out the door its like something is screaming at me to not go out. An when think its all me having a anxiety attack but it just feels like something is pulling me back in my house like something is sheltering me from going out an it really frustrates me. But one night a few months ago i had this dream of this woman with shoulders length dark brown wavy hair with light brown highlights an golden/brown eyes her face was just beautiful it hard to put in words. I also have someone standing next to me but there face was a black blur i really couldn't see them. The woman brought us in an she was talking about all kinds of things. When she asked if we had any questions i couldn't speak no mater how hard i try but the person next to me talked but i couldn't understand them. I woke up soon after an i can't forget about this no matter how hard i try.
Where do i start researching? So much knowledge on this subject has been lost to time, for example i haven't been able to find any mention of odins brothers vile and vae past the greation of man
I did my home work & come to find out Christianity is a lie. C.Jungs essay on Wotan really put the nail in the coffin for jebus😂🤣😂🤣 Ron McVans book Temple Of Wotan I highly recommend. Thats the book that helped me make my final descision. ALL HAIL THE OLD GODS!💪
@@dylannn8299 Asatru tends to be used by the AFA, so most don't follow the AFA and AFA though their path in this paganism is their own. They do worship similar gods as Norse pagans. However, many don't use Asatru not to be looked at as following the doctrine or beliefs that AFA would be part of, and Asatru is more for the Icelandic pagans. Norse pagans, however, are the broad terms, and it adds all pagans together-the Broadest way to label our whole faith. However, that's only to label ourselves to the usual person, and there are many paths under it. Heathen, Is what quite a few call themselves because it's referenced in the edda. Most will call themselves that because it's what Christians use to call us. The only issue with calling yourself that is that Atheists call themselves that too. In the end, yes, they are relatively similar, but it's more complicated than just simply as we are "this." I'm also new to this, only a week of accepting this as my faith. So someone may be more capable of explaining the differences better than me. Also, this is known as the religion with homework, so you forge your path based on your research and how you do things within it. However, the general thing is to believe in the gods and spirits and everything that incorporates the religion.

I asked him if he could welcome me and I felt in my body like he and all the other gods welcomed me, that is when I got goosebumps and I felt reborn. thank you so much for making this video. i've had pretty much the same experience as you with the meditation, but with different goddesses approaching me. the way you speak about your journey feels very familiar to me and it makes me feel like i'm not alone in my practices, since i'm lacking norse pagan people around me.
That is amazing and I’m happy because that is part of my goal to let the folk know they are not alone!

Tonight i start my journy into becoming norse pagan . Thanks for this video ive saved it and think i come watch it a few times .
Hey brother right there with you started a couple weeks ago and learning so much and this is the path for me
Amazing man good luck and if you need anything ask. Best to hmu on instsgram
Same to you both
I hiked tothe top of my local mountain, and called out to Odin and thor nd left an offering for Freya. Shortly after i came across a perfect spider web in the shape of the Wyn rune.
But you said Odin told you to keep making videos? well then im here and eager to listen...
Amazing story and thank you for being here with me!
Thank you for this. So helpful. Will be watching more of your content. Much needed.
Both are amazing stories. Thank you for sharing!
My brother is a norse paganism and just a few days ago I felt like Odin was calling me. So I doing my research because I want to be a norse paganism

You can def dive deeper just do the research and work involved.
I went backwards. I'm learning the basics of runes and now trying to learn the sagas and such. I haven't done anything with the runes, just trying to learn. It's been a slow moving learning process but I like Norse Paganism so far

Very much agree!

It’s ok that’s a normal feeling just do the research and see how you feel.
I think that as long as you believe in you heart that it will work then it’ll work
I’m an ex Abrahamist. The more I learn, the more I see the abrahamic faiths stole from paganism.

It very well could be. It’s all up to your interpretation
@@mynorsepaganjourney2452 I think it may be a sign

You can for sure reach them. The first time I ever meditated I saw Odin and it was amazing!
@@shawndennis6529 I do agree that the first one is a sign from Odin. The second one is a little harder to distinguish though

I got my first sign through meditation. It worked for me might work for you.

Thank you for the support. And for sure. Check out my Instagram and message me there. It’s called mynorsepaganjourney
All my life I've never felt a spiritual connection to anything, but as i grow older (im 24) i feel there is something there, what that is, i dont know yet. I live in Australia, far from any place of cultural significance to the norse/danish gods. Will they hear my call from a land so far?
They will hear it absolutely.
That is a pretty cool story and your dreams are all up to how you interpret them.
I don’t think they have happened yet but I think they will happen in the future.
Yooo the meditation part gave me a weird sense of dejavú ,I thought I would’ve never connected with a god like that since I’m Hispanic
Sounds like you have had a calling!
Thank you so much! And that is a great experience!
