A great beginner tunevfir groove, strumming variations and a classic E minor pentatonic riff / fill. A must learn early on in the guitar journey. Along with For What It's Worth. And Let The Sky Fall.
Nice to see a Faith guitar being used. Faith guitars are fantastic and the quality is amazing. I have the same one a Venus blood moon, but have tried a Neptune and mars and have liked them all.
That signature riff was played by none other than James Burton on the original version by Dale Hawkins. Burton played with Ricky Nelson and later Elvis Presley. He’s an incredible guitar player, especially on songs like “Believe What You Say” and “Fools Rush In”, both with Ricky. Thank you for the guitar lesson I like your style and pace of teaching, not too fast or too slow.
Back in the day in high school friends and I went to a Creedence concert at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles -- we were tripping on LSD. From the very first tone of that beginning chord of Susi Q we were off on a wild psychedelic bayou swamp voodoo trip
I'm digging this campfire stuff! It's interesting to see a C major show up in the key of E. (or is it a B sharp?) A song I have been obsessed with lately is Leo Kottke's "Jack Gets Up".
