I am also so proud of you. And it feels so good hearing you say that to yourself and just in general you are so much kinder to yourself, I feel. So inspiring.
♥️♥️
Thank you for taking us with you 💜
Good for you for doing those things on your own!!! I have a lot of anxiety doing things alone - I tend to lean on my partner quite a bit. This was really inspiring. Because of this, going to practice more solo moments. Love from Vancouver !
I've only become independent in the last few years (I'm a very anxious co-dependent person by nature) so proof anyone can do it! Start small!! ♥️
I loved this vlog, this was so enjoyable coming along on this work trip!
Yay I'm so glad🥹
Nice vlog Carter ❤️ I’m from the US and have done most of my intl travel to South America, so I’m not very familiar with Canada, but have always wanted to go when the time is right. This does seem like a big deal/milestone trip and I’m excited for you that you got to visit 🥰
I like how you’re addressing your boundaries and need for breaks from social settings.
I feel that unless it’s like a mandated work dinner or social setting, like the welcome dinner that you mentioned, that it’s totally okay to opt out and glad that you did so when you weren’t feeling up for it. Especially if you’re working the next day. You’ll want to be refreshed not only sleep wise but also socially. I totally get the pressure, or social awkwardness of saying no in working settings, but ultimately l how you show up for work hours and events matters way more than a night out drinking with coworkers/colleagues who want to go out on their own accord
Sadly as the person running the conference I have to "on" and attend every event, welcome dinner, reception dinners etc. And while I love my job it can be difficult because those are situations where I can't always have boundaries and not go to a work dinner because I'm tired, because ultimately I'm being paid to work and go! So it can be hard and I'm sometimes jealous of people who go to conferences as attendees and can come/go as they please!
Wow how cool! Loved this per usual :)
Yay!
I've been waiting everyday for the video to be uploaded! I'm very happy Take care🌷🐇
♥️♥️
I love seeing parts of the Earth so untouched. It always reminds me how beautiful it really is!
It truly was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.. untouched and so magnificent!
Wow Lqaluit looks so beautiful, love that we get a mini travel vlog in this 🤭💖 sunrise at 4AM WHAT
Taking a blanket, slippers, sleep mask, and a coffee mug are my favorite ways to make my hotel room feel more comfy.
Yes I'm so glad I did!! P
I worked at a conference last year for the non-profit I worked for (we organized the conference), so I can relate. It was so much fun, but so tiring!
Hi Carter good morning happy Wednesday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Work trips I used to do were just one crazy fun. THE BEST àmong other best!! Enjoy!!
Haha so much fun but also super out of my comfort zone!!!
Stop youre making me wanna go to Canada❤❤❤❤
My dream is to go to Iqaluit or one of the other territories' capitals i.e. Whitehorse or Yellowknife. I work in the environment field, and I am a big nature lover, and I want to go to the Arctic so badly. It's so cool you got to go. I have a friend who moved to Whitehorse and the plane tickets are more expensive than a plane ride to Europe, so it's hard to justify financially, but man do I wanna go!
This vlog makes me want to travel to Canada so badly!
It is worthwhile if you can go up one day!
Carter you and your vlogs are so so so so inspiring for me💖💫😀
I truly cannot fathom planning a work conference but shoot YOU DID THAT 🔥
I appreciate you SO much😊♥️
Do you like HR as a career and do you see yourself staying in it? I am thinking of going into that after I graduate.
Enjoy your trip
Thanks, I'm home now!
Nice video in your work trip
I have a similar double position career as well. I unsterstand all the planning and socializing that is involved.
So cool, that's a good way to put it- double position career!
My dad was the CEO at Qikiqtani for six or seven years back starting in like, 2010. Small world.☺
Wow no way!! What a small world
Great vlog , would you consider discussing your role as a talent/acquisition specialist as well as a conference creator?
I've discussed my job in a few other videos!! Because my role is so unique to where I work, and there are some things I want to keep private and keep that boundary♥️
You mentioned having to drink bottled water there. Was that a temporary measure or something residents there face year-round?
Temporary! Usually the tap water is drinkable, they were just experiencing a temporary ban!
💜💜
💕💙
Thanks for watching♥️
@@CarterSullivan please reply my comment 😭😭😭
I so feel for you, having dined alone in social situations. My husband is really disabled unfortunately, and my only breaks are sometimes alone. “A table for one?” Said a bit incredulously can be demoralising. No option but to hold that head up and agree! Big girl pants ndeed 😂
This video you sound less stressed. Speak in a less speedy way 🤗
I just talk fast all the time, its a character trait of mine has nothing to do with stress😂
