Great newer channel. I really appreciate that you put the fly in water because sometimes its hard to understand what its really supposed to look like when wet. It'd be super fun if you got a little fishtank to demonstrate the action of some of your lures. No other fly tying channel does this and I think it'd be a great idea.
Yeah with the steamers its always nice to see wet cuz they mat down alot. Thats a great idea! Ill have to look around for a big tank! When spring rolls around I could try in fresh water to
I would love to see this tied in a three and a half to 4 in shad/shiner imitation on like a 3/8 to a half ounce size regular jig head that would be a monster.
Stay tuned! I agree, this pattern could be deadly in a larger size. Doing some inline videos now but will definitely make a few when spring/summer prep starts! Thanks for the support!
I'm going to have to steal this one from you lol. Not in the same way but same idea in a sense. But more for jigs. I'll give you a shout out in my video for the idea. Thank you
I havent flyfished since like late 1990's early 2000. The new fly tying material in 20 some years has been interesting, the greatest is the UV cement and gel super glue. I played around with glue guns and couldnt get the right look. Great looking jig. What is your fishing set up using these jigs? Beautiful work BTW.
I actually use this when ice fishing! I fly fish a bit but most of these smaller, heavier flies I tie are used through the ice. Caught my biggest crappie of the year (14in) on a black version. Thanks for the support!
