yeah, they had a video once where he was like talking on the phone. completely normal guy with a normal voice. i hate his voice, but to give him credit, that annoying fake cackle of his saw him through his career. so props to him.
Gilbert was one of my favorite comedians of all time. From the documentary you can see that he really loved his family and they really loved him. He was taken from us far to soon. RIP Gilbert
It's almost poetic really; the king of the "too soon" style of comedy, was himself, taken from us too soon. It was just so unfair that Gilbert had very little time overall getting to be a father. Gilbert's kids are only what? 13 and 15? No one should have to lose a parent at such a young age.
