Really enjoyed the voiceover on this, with comments on condition sounding like snooker commentary. 10 seconds of silence followed by a very matter of fact "Slight rip to the top of the sleeve" ;) Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching. Years of listening to Ted Lowe must have affected me! I'll have to drop into a future shows video "for those of you who are watching in black and white the pink vinyl is next to the green vinyl." 😄
Hi Richard - those Motown triple best ofs are great value and getting harder to come across. Those Animals records are usually in terrible condition. Nice collection CTI on, unfortunately nothing super exciting, but completely sellable. Cheers.
Hi Jack. The Stevie triple seems to sell for £10 or less here - indeed that is a great value buy for anyones collection. The Animals albums from the '60's are in pretty good condition for age so should be easy to sell on. Agreed nothing in this lot to get too excited about but happy to pick up for the price I paid.
Hi Richard. A good auction lot. The Beatles Red & Blue albums look to be the pick based on the look of the sleeves. 'Kimono House' also. That 'Steely Dan Greatest Hits' sounds stunning on vinyl ... I don't mind cut-outs. They are usually in good condition.
Hi Carl. I checked about 25 of what I thought were the higher value records in the lot before the auction and noted the Beatles Red & Blue coloured vinyl albums as the big hitters at around £30 each as both are EX condition. There are albums in the £10-£20 range and others will be in the £5 'bargain' box. Having now completed checking all the records I find there is one that could be sold for £40. I had not looked at it previously as I had reckoned it was worth £10-£15. I will show it at the end of my next video.
A few monsters titles there Richard...a lot of staples but nothing wrong with that. The Animals records were the most interesting, never seen them before.
Thanks James. The Animals albums from the '60's are new to me too. Have just been doing some research on these. The Animals was released in '64 and reached no.6 in the album charts, Animal Tracks in '65 reached no.6, Animalisms in '66 reached no.4. The many charting singles released in these years are not found on any of these albums - looks like these albums were just for deep cuts which must have been very unusual in the '60's.
Thanks for watching Mike. This is the first "Incantations" I have come across since starting buying vinyl in the last year - I have found most of his other albums on a regular basis. It's clearly not a rarity and seemingly is quite cheaply bought in the UK. Hopefully you will track down a copy.
It's a rare album and very hard to find - when they do turn up they always go over £1000. I am extremely fortunate to have a copy that I am willing to release from my secure vault for a serious collector for such an amount. I would be very lucky to come across another copy of such a rare album in my lifetime. 😄
Hi Martin. I find the regular sellers at fairs are the classic albums from The Beatles, Floyd, Bowie, Queen, Black Sabbath etc. The likes of Bread albums do not sell and I simply donate these to our Charity shop. Taking this lot of 120 records I reckoned pre-auction that about 80 would be saleable at fairs and based my bid price on that presumption. Having checked them all through now that's about the situation - the remainder of some 40 records are being donated to get them cleared out.
Richard, I gotta say…You sound JUST like George Martin! Congrats on the vinyl haul.
Thanks for watching. Didn't realise that we sounded similar - I will check out one of his interviews on UA-cam 😀

Hi Richard, I have many of those shown. I could use that Mike Oldfield "Incantations" album as that is one of the few by him I don't have.
Thanks for watching Mike.

There are some great things in this lot. Good luck with them :)
Thanks for watching Brian.
I am stalling at a record fair tomorrow and taking many of these with me - hopefully some will find new homes!
Hi Richard. Just wondering, do you have any copies of Peter Gabriels "So" album? 😂
It's a rare album and very hard to find - when they do turn up they always go over £1000. I am extremely fortunate to have a copy that I am willing to release from my secure vault for a serious collector for such an amount. Very nice Richard.
Out of curiosity what pressing is that blues breakers record?
Thanks Martin.
It's the 1969 UK reissue with blue Decca labels - stereo SKL4804. I would visually grade the vinyl and outer sleeve EX-
Do you find staple records such as these are persistent sellers? I only ask as I've similar which never seem to shift at fairs e.g. Bread.
